Also, do you have any special router features switched on, like QoS or speedburst? Once you've tried running wired (essential IMHO to rule out wireless interference), try switching these off. I have found (with a Belkin router) some QoS implementations can interfere with the smooth flow of packets

I believe that out of the box it doesn't have any. As I understand it the IR emitter isn't even enabled in the firmware at the moment. There is an expectation that it will be enabled in the future and what it will do will be up to the community who design the appropriate plugin. -- Zaragon
