Hi All,
I ran across an interesting thing with my K2. I have a
very pronounced microphonic at 18.157.9. There is a
carrier (birdie?) on that frequency and when I tap on the
top of the radio, the tapping is clearly audible in the
speaker.
Has anyone else noticed this ?

This is during upgrading a K3/10 to a K3/100.
The PAIO test is done before the PA3 is
installed. And yes I made sure the red wire was
on the pin with the silk screened word red behind
it.

KPA3 in my K3 it fails the PAIO tst. No relay click. No fan action.

Alan, what MBP do you own?
I have a 2010 15" MBP, and it has separate stereo input and output
jacks. I am able to input anything the K3 spits out with nothing more
than a regular stereo cable.

Yes Geoff, 4.22 appears effect the DSP NB more here with me also.
I rarely use it but in the last few days I have been trying it out and I am

It's also my impression that the DSP noise blanker introduces more
distortion on SSB signals in Firmware 4.22 than in previous firmware. I
haven't rolled back to a previous version to check it out like you have but

My W2 wattmeter refuses to display power and swr values...only the S1 and S2
led fliker altenatively, and the auto led on the range line is continuously
lit up !
Nothing can change this abnormal set up.
So far, it had been working normally, as well as the PC extension.

Not sure which accessory is the KXV3a. I do have the internal tuner and a
G5RV and a tribander hooked to the A and B antenna jacks. I have no amp
