It does, in the details of setting process data modes of the
smart-serial protocol.

Greetings and Merry Christmas.
The 7i76 manual has mention of modes 0, 1, and 2 for reading the analog
voltages applied to the first 4 inputs.
But no place in that lengthy manual does it mention how to switch it so
this mode 1 is enabled so as to enable that ability.
And it does output a 0-9.9
Hi Peter;
My 6040 gantry mill has I think, a 2x7i76 firmware in its 5i25, with a
7i76D on the 5i25's p3, and an ATM a std Sainsmart bob connected to p2.
The current config string for the 5i25 has 4 stepgens, no encoders, and
no pwmgen. An readhmid shows identical setups for both p3 and p2.

Greetings Peter;
The new vfd materialized here today, and I see it actually has what it
calls an RS485 interface, a teeny little white 3 pin socket on its
motherboard.
And I have one or two 422 to 485 translators, the $2 variety, that I

Now I've got one for you Peter. I have written that file with the extra
pwmgen on pins 5-6 of p2, twice, and --verified it. But the only place I
can see that 2nd pwmgen is in a mesaflash --device 5i25 --readhmid
