I agree with most of your post, but this statement doesn't work for me at all! I have a lob with both Mac's and PC's and although the PC's are easy to maintain, they require maintenance on a regular basic while the Mac's rarely do, which is why I have Mac's at home. Also, the PC you get for $600 i

apple cracked down a month ago when serice manuals for the new imac began to surface illegally on ebay ect. For not most ebay CDs are home made or copies of orginals not apple liecenced products. As for my sources i can not say but there are still ways to get stuff but that is ummm :o) take care

Ok new thing Apple has passworded all access to their service manual sights so no more manually typin in the Ftp number as i just tried that and it promted me to enter my user id, password and account #. I think it is due to the fact of some sentive stuff on the new imac ect not sure thanks Jam

I was under the impression that we (the list members) would deal with this issue privately, since Apple seems to be lurking on the list and shutting down any sites published publicly. If you place the URL on the list, it seems like it will be shut down and then no one can use it. Tom on 4/23/02 9
