Well, my 320 has developed the turn on bug. I thought it was only the bane
of the 510s but obviously now I know different.
It's not too bad. It comes on about once every three or four days. And yes
it is made in Malaysia... "If I'd only known..." ;-)
On the good side it's never come on

I just purchased a Sharp MT831 and have read that I can use the supplied

There can be problems with this unit, but for $120 I'd buy one and keep

Before I sit here and start filing down this piece of circuit board,

I'm looking for a component MD player with digital optical in and out, and
I'm on a very tight budget. I have found the Sony 530 for $299 which
satisfies the digital in/out requirement, but I'm hoping I can find
something a bit cheaper. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Hi!
Just a little question. I just bought the famous Sony MDS-JE510.
And I'll buy a portbale "Play-Only" system soon. Now here's my
question: Can I play minidiscs recorded with ATRACK 4.5 (or
whatever this Sony has) on a higher ATRAC System (6.0 from
Sharp). I thought of buying this MS-301h

Hello,
I have a 98 Honda Civic and the stock radio comes with cd changer
controls and inputs. Does anyone make an adapter that would let
this radio control one of the Sony minidisc changers (or any other
brand of changer for that matter).

I have an ECM-717. I use it to record concerts. It is small and

power is too weak for it to operate only on line-in. Overall it is a
very good little microphone. Should be fine for recording your baby. I

Hi,
I got one and I have had no problems with it up to this date and it is now
allmost 2 years old. I didn't have any of the infamous 510 problems such as
the turn-on bug and the discs getting stuck in the mechanism. There is only
one thing to look for with the 510, check where the unit is made.

Had one until it developed the dreaded self turn on sysdrome. After
the store couldn't fix it in three tries and about two and a half months
of down time, they gave me my money back and I got a 520 instead.

The Sony MDS-JE520 has a test mode display which includes SCMS status - look
