I have run out of fuel on my '83 300SD. I discovered (the hard way) that my
reserve light is burnt out and the fuel gauge was showing 1/4 tank. Is this my
mistake or a mechanical failure? Here at work, if our driver runs out of fuel,
we deduct the roadservice labor from their check, UNLESS th

smarter than I am. Symptoms:- Small thin ring of oil (?) in the reservoir,
coupled with a very slow loss of coolant. There are no external coolant
leaks visible. I changed the M1 from 15w to 5w (winter's coming) and
That is the advantage of driving an inexpensive cheap car!

Hi Lee,
Shoot, PUMA doesn't sell Hella lights anymore for the W124? I know
they couldn't get the 500E lights (Hella stopped making them for the
aftermarket channel), but I thought the regular W124 lights were still
available. Ouch.

I am selling my 1990 300D 2.5. It has 243K miles. It is smoke silver
with light tan interior. Fantastic shape. I bought it from my mechanic
almost three years ago. He bought from a customer who was the original
owner. I posted a few pics here recently. I have 30-40 pics if anyone
is interested.
