I think in the last say 10 years they've drifted toward higher quality stuff.
Their hand tools are better than most hardware store brands including
Craftsman. Actually I'd say HF is head and shoulders above Craftsman at this
point. 1980's Craftsman was better but their stuff now is just junk.
Yeah Harbor Freight is hit and miss. Some of their stuff is absolute junk,
other items are quite good.

This goes especially for the kitchen, but also the shop. Such items tend to sit

Unless they don't. I bought some of those HF 1/8" 'titanium' bits.
They would drill, in cheese or jello, but if the bit end caught the
twist would straighten out. The most worthless pieces of metal

They are, if you drop enough coin on cigars. I got a bunch from my dad's

They're almost too nice to use, for lots of purposes. I still have loose

Agreed, and it’s a behavior that one has to develop. I’m hard core about it (I
don’t shadow my tools, so I’m not that bad) and make sure everything gets put
away when I’m done. I might wait until the job is done if it’s something major,
otherwise, I put stuff back as soon as I’m done with it.
The real trick is keeping everything in its place once it has been sorted.
