you can tell it for example, if your modem is on ttyS1 (com2 in dos)
then select ttyS1, often the /dev/modem link is not made as in redhat.

Heh heh. I had an old DVD drive (creative encore) I threw into my linux
machine to load linux on the machine..
Maybe I shouldnt pull it out just yet.. ;)
