Wow, I finally ran the cable and checked 8.2 for hot plug usb support and I tried it
with my HP 5200c scanner. Plugged in the usb cable and the scanner fired up, an icon
set itself on the screen and clicking on it brought up the scanner tools for sane. I
can now say everything works in ML8.2
