Hi
I need cvs 1.9 in order to install some very specific drivers for my
soundblaster live! 24bits. But I stuck with the cvs 1.11 version. I
tried to find the rpm package for cvs 1.9 with urpmi, but I'm
overwhelmed by all the rpms packages. Can somebody point me toward
the easiest way?

I am having some problems getting xawtv to work in Mandrake 10.1
Official (installed using the dvd edition). I can get the zapping and
kdetv applications to work, however they behave unreliably and settings
(from ntsc to pal; from us-cable to some other country setting) often
change

easier BTW do you have broadband ?
What I've done is in my ignorance begun updating 10.1 when what I had
was six-month-old 10.0 installed from discs. The 10.0 was fine :(
until I messed it up with this "update." No
I installed muse and when I try to start it I get:
xfatal error: open /dev/rtc failed: No such device or address
I ran mknod and created an rtc device like this:
mknod /dev/rtc b 11 0
chgrp root /dev/rtc
chmod 666 /dev/rtc
I started muse again and got the same error message.

I got the 10.1 official download dvd. Everything burned OK. I boot the
comp, I see the splash screen, I press F2, type "expert", [enter]. The
kernel loads
And that's all - I'm left with a blank screen, and nothing else happens.

SquirrelMail is included in 10.1 official and I believe it was included
since at least 9.x. I don't know about CE.

I've seen lots of other problems mentioned with the 2.6.10 kernel. I think
that maybe it's not yet production-level?

On the other hand it helped to solve my usb problem I had with distro
kernel, so a hand made fstab is OK. No other problems encountered yet.

to insure that updated packages on PLF show up in updates inside the
Mandrake Control Center's Software Updates utility screen.
I have PLF added as a source, but for example, in the latest Xine
updates, the PLF updated pack
