After upgrading Mandriva LE 10.2 from Mandrake 10.1 the wheel on my mouse is
not working anymore.
It is a wireless Microsoft USB wheelmouse.
Worked fine in Mandrake 10.1 with some ACPI options like:
append=noapic nolapic devfs=mount acpi=ht
With the above settings the USB mouse did not work at
I have what I think is a mouse issue. I cannot drag or resize any windows
on my KDE desktop. Any ideas on how I can fix that are greatly appreciated.

(which sets accelleration like in the kcontrol) but it's actually the
initial (non-accelerated) speed that i am trying to change.
I did fire up kcontrol (even though i am not in kde): it does have my

It's the starting / non-accellerated speed that's giving me trouble,
though. I can't figure out how it changed, either. It's not like
pekwm mucks with mouse settings, and i haven't cvs'd since the last
stable release.

I installed some xmms plugins, the new openoffice, and the latest java today.
Now my mouse pointer jumps with great vigor to the bottom left of my desktop (kde) and
sometimes keyboard and mouse both freeze, necessitating hardware reboot.

said below, having a hell of a time accessing the archives. so here it is

As root, in a text console mousedrake choose 'logitec mouseman+' I
think that should do what you want, maybe not.

Toshiba laptop. Mandrake 9.0 does not allow either the
glidepad or my wireless mouse to work right. All the
mouse is able to do is go up and down on the screen.
Red Hat 8.0 recognizes my mouse fine.
Any suggestions?
