In the man rpm page there is an extense list of commands and options but I
usually use rpm -q name_of_the_rpm_package. This will display a list of all
the files that the rpm contains. This is the first step. If the fil that you
are looking for it's in the package you can make an rpm -e
It will run on 32 Megs (you'll just need a big swap partition)
I suggest a minimum of 64 Megs or if you can get more 128 Megs.
I have 384Megs and it is perfect, it virtually never uses the swap
(and if it does it uses no more than 20Megs) so everything is fast.

I assume you're refering to rpmfind results? Type 'arch' in a
teminal, if

By the way, X in failsafe mode should only produce an xterm, nothing else.

You are quite correct - you can't patch the .tar or the .tar.gz file. What
you need to do is to get the source files and unpack them into a source
directory.
You then place your patch file in the same place.

posted on the sis website was a LAN Driver. actually i haven't tried
