The MZ-S prints the exposure data above the frame, in the spaces between the
sprocket holes.
My suggestion too would be to reconstruct the film and see if the problem is
with camera or processing.
I have not had any problems with frame spacing at all with any Pentax.

hardly visible spectrum radiation, to which film and paper is most
sensitive, but you don't see it. I would be extremely warry when
loading film into tank, and I would do some tests with paper, or at

Is there a correct shutter speed to adjust a mechanical

I thought I once read a long time ago that there are speeds you
should not leave it on, on account of the tension on a mechanical
shutter spring.

Some light leaks are normal. Be sure to have the area around the
enlarger painted a flat black, or covered with a black cloth that will
absorb, rather than reflect, the light. As long as the light doesn't
reflect on to the paper, you should be OK. Of course, test for fogging,
IAC.

needed a software upgrade because of irregular frame spacing? I recall
