during boot-up.

http://www.knoppix.net/
and download the latest version of Knoppix and burn it to a CD as an
ISO. You can run it live off the CD to check for hardware problems.

Vista Ultimate for about a week now. It's a few years old, but
I've got one of those 3COM cards with the retractable antenna. Very
convenient not having to remove it when I put the Thinkpad in its case.

you can see the contents in Windows Explorer, but can't access them. If
