I'm using Impress on OpenOffice 3.3. Each time I open a presentation
on Impress, I'm told the file is locked for editing, and given the
choice of opening it read-only or opening a copy for editing. I do the
latter. When I edit the presentation, I can't save it under the same
name (since,
I'd like to convert a presentation (not yet created; I've been trying
out some test material first) to some form of video. swf seemed the
obvious choice as Impress claims to export to this format.
However, the resulting output seems to cause aggro with almost every
program I've tried to read

fine in Normal View and exports to PDF fine.

editor? They do on my Win XP Pro system using OOo 3.1.1 and have done with
all previous versions of OOo.

Yes you can
If I open a Powerpoint file, the font used and background are correct.
If I insert the file into a default presentation the font is change from
Arial to Times even though the default font is Arial.
Please advise how I can inherit the font and background when inserting a
Powerpoint file.
