Got it! The key for me was 1) my misunderstanding of the
/etc/services file function and 2) the location of the error logs
The basic problem was one of my server arguments had
'parameter' doesn't exist thus service fails
to load.
Told ya it was a newbie mistake. What burns me up is I have built and
administered Beowulf clusters, but its been so many years I have lost
ALL my skills.
