This seems like something that falls under "leave well enough alone"

tested, however) that Firewire 400 (the common one) and USB 2 are pretty
much the same speed.

numerous times for photos - don't know if it'll do pdf files, though.
I tried Googling "convert pdf to thumbnail" and did get some listings so you
might try that as well.

crowded looking is my opinion.
Some kind of logo that helps get the site topic across would be nice,
but not necessarily required. But then, I'm big into logos so don't mind me!
