This message is from: "fofdfjo...@clearwire.net" Hi Jeanine, Welcome to the wonderful world of Fjords and their families. Gayle Ware Field of dreams Eugene, OR www.fjordhorse.com Hi everyone, I was very happy to find this list. My name is Jeanine and we are counting down the days until our Fjord comes home. She will be my first. She is OH Tira and is a 16 yr old mare. She has been living in Oswego and has always been in that area. Bred at Old Hickory. I am new to Fjords and also a beginner to horses. I used to live in Nova Scotia and had a goat farm with many acres of pasture. I used to take in retired, lame and old horses that needed a home and that has been the scope of my horse experience. I am a learning rider. I am looking forward to learning here and meeting you all. We are moving to a farm property and she will be coming home to us the week we move. She will be our only horse just for this winter. She will have many goats but hopefully a Fjord friend in the spring. Welcome Joann!
This message is from: Bonnie Michelis I have had my fjord since he was a weanling. He is now 15. Keeping weight off this breed is a challenge and I think alot of them are very prone to insulin resistance,. If you go to www.equinemedsurg.com they have alot of great articles for managing horses that gain easily. My boy had laminitis for the first time this past summer even tho he is worked alot. He was still overweight and to diet him I would need to dry lot him and he would have to go long periods without eating to keep weight off, Now I manage him alot different thanks to what I learned at this site. He got the weight off and keeps it off very well by feeding a low starch/high protein pellet and using hay bags. I also use a muzzle. I know he doesn't like it much, but he does accept it. When you introduce it, be sure they aren't very hungry when you put it on at first. Put a small treat in it so they think treat every time you put it on - they don't fight it then. They have to learn to use it by picking it up and placing it straight down on the grass. It doesn't work with very short grass, but my guy will graze the taller stuff this way. Since I changed how I manage him, I am able to offer grass without a muzzle 2 hrs a day without weight gain. I hope I am able to increase that this summer as the quality of grass goes down. Check out this site! My horse is never hungry anymore. You can put a new bag up and he doesn't run to it - doesn't shake his head and acts agitated when other horses are fed anymore either. It made a huge difference for us! bonnie in wi Important FjordHorse List Links: Subscription Management: http://tinyurl.com/5msa7e FH-L Archives: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw FH_L Shirts: http://tinyurl.com/8yky94l

This message is from: Kay Van Natta Hi Jo Anne! If you can find a new place you like that has a couple of dry lots where Emma can spend her outside time, that would be ideal. Then you can control what goes into those busy Fjord lips fairly easily. When she's in her stall, can she see other horses? Maybe that would make her less upset. My Bogie pony came to me at age 14, had spent most of his adult life outside and was pretty suspicious of the stall concept. Since that's where his meals are served and he can see his pasture buddies in their respective stalls, he has bonded with his room...'though he still prefers to be out. This message is from: Julie ~ Funny French Cars Hi julie from NZ here, thanks for the welcome , i have been reading the digest for a while now and have enjoyed it lots, plus learnt heaps, I have 2 fjords, both geldings, a 14yo whom i brought into NZ from australia and a 3yo who was bred in NZ , I wanted to write and share with u all my guys adventure last weekend, I was out and my husband was home in his shed , I had left the fjords out to mow the lawn, deane heard the house door slam close around lunchtime and thought nothing of it, a couple of hours later he went back into the house to get his ph ( which was charging) and found the place was totally trashed, stuff everywhere, like a massive earthquake, he put 2 and 2 together and got 2 fjords getting into the house 2hrs ago, I had baked a banana cake and fresh bread and they had been in plastic bags, well they had rubbed it all onto the carpet trying to get it out of the bags big stains on the carpet( wont describe what the bags looked like found one in the sink, yuck,) the fruit bowl, had oranges apples bananas, kiwi fruit, lemons, only 1 lemon survived as it rolled under the furniture, I had dishes on the drying rack they were all on the floor, I had butter out defrosting, it was gone, but had been smeared all over one of the kitchen cupboards first, and these guys are in full molt, i suspect u get the picture hair everywhere, all the fridge magnets on the floor, cell ph chomped but still goes, dvd covers bitten but dvds ok, cover ripped off printer but printer and laptop ok, coffee table tipped over and the only real casualty as its glass top was broken, deane began cleaning up, no sign of the horses, then he heard some banging noises thought oh noand opened the bedroom door to my sons room, which they had shut behind them, and standing over top of tristins new drum set was benji, the young fjord, very happy and not worried or freaked when the door opened, trying out the drums., deane called him and he happily followed him outside, then he came back in to discover thor coming out of the laundry, then wandering into our bedroom, quite at home, apparently he was handreared and quite used to being inside when a foal, deane txted me and said he was running late as he was cleaning up the house after the horses had been thru it, I couldnt stop laughing asked him what on earth was he doing inviting the horses inside. I had had to chase thor away a day earlier when he kept opening the front door, then the next day when i let them out to graze they bet me back to the house and had the door open , so now i,ll have to mow the lawn myself. sorry to go on so long but it was so funny, and our house is quite small and they could of got seriously hurt as we have lots of glass doors, but being fjords they took it in their stride, arent they wonderful and intelligent. look forward to hearing more stories and info cheers julie Important FjordHorse List Links: Subscription Management: http://tinyurl.com/5msa7e FH-L Archives: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw Classified Ads: http://tinyurl.com/5b5g2f
RE: fjord digest- welcome Julie! Lola
This message is from: laura fisher Hi Lola- I live on the coast in a town called North Bend. Actually they mushed the two towns ( Coos Bay)together and call it Coos bay/ North Bend. The coast is beautiful here even with the old mills sprawled along the river, dead,(the mills) but we have a very nice horse camp about ten minutes from where we live. It is called "Horsefall Camp". I have my days and nights free to horse around and I am very fortunate for that. We moved to a new home and I have an indoor arena. I am so thankful I try to use it every day. My fjord, Elisie, and I have only know each other for about 90 days. ... I have three other horses. In fact my husband and I took a ride on the dunes today. This part of the coast is a big draw for ATV'S but they stay away from the camp. Tomorrow I am going to write to the forum about my experiences today out on the trail. It got pretty hairy there for awhile. I am getting a lot of help from the forum and I am following their suggestions. It is helping me not make quite so many mistakes and bring the knowledge that I do know together. I know this is more information than you asked for. do you live in Oregon? Winter Wear and Welcome
This message is from: "Olivia Farm, Inc." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hello from Olivia Farm, My favorite winter work pants are the $30 rain-suit variety from Costco. They are super thin and you wouldn't think it would be much difference, but I wouldn't THINK about going outside without them when the temperature is between 10 and -10 around here. They keep out the wind and the wet, as long as it isn't a huge downpour. The only draw back is that they are slick. I did ride bareback in them at a walk and with the western saddle they would probably be fine, but in English tack it might be an issue. For real riding I have a pair of insulated, full-seat, winter over-pants from State Line Tack. I have no idea what the cost is (they were a well-appreciated gift!), but they are super and I am usually sweating. I have had them for about 6 years now and they are still looking great since I only use them to ride. My only issue with them is that they tend to "pop" open at the sides when I wear jeans under them, so I switched to winter breeches. For Laurie (and Oz, even though he won't be out here THIS time) - We hope you can make it by for a visit this summer - that would be great fun! We may even have one of our little cabins finished by then. Keep warm everyone! Welcome to the Fjord List Nina
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] It's about time Nina! (Sabrina) I've been trying to get her on the list for over a year. Nina forgot to mention that she is the proud owner of Opal, the dam of our up and coming 4 year old (make sure I got the number right this time) stallion WHR Elsker. Opal made herself priceless to Nina last year, when she gave birth to a beautiful filly and then had to take on a Fjord colt too. She nursed both successfully and brought the colt back from the brink. Condolences to Nina for the recent loss of her first Fjord Kona, We know you loved her a lot. Michele Noonan Stevensville, Mt

EPSM/ welcome to NC Fjord owners/ Fjords on small acrage/ off side mounting..
This message is from: "Jeanne Zuker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> EPSM stands for "Equine Polysaccharid Storage Myopathy" I think I have the spelling correct. I just put EPSM in my Yahoo search and came up with a wonderful list of info written by Dr Beth Valentine, DVM,Phd. for Rural Heritage. Welcome to the Hardin's of NC and their Fjord. Are you located anywhere near Asheboro, my brothers' family live there and love the mountains and state, they are trying to get me to move to NC since I retired a couple years ago. For Nancy, I have an acre of land for house, barn, small pasture/paddock, dog kennel and yard--whew! It can be done. I love having Olaf "home" so I can take care of him, I am fortunate that the area I live in is rural and I have neighbors who have horses, so I do have access to trails (off road), two neighbors have indoors that I can use and my local requirements allow me to have a horse an a small amount of land. Please feel free to email me privately if you would like more info. I would love to have more land, but I moved here before I got Olaf and I know that more land would be more ideal, but Olaf is not lacking for anything. I do have another horse here for the next 6 mos., helping someone out, both horses are doing great on the land and with each other. I have been mounting "off side" on Olaf since I went to a seminar and was told there is nothing wrong with it, you should be working both sides of the horse on ground work and turns so this just takes it to the next step. I will tell you at first it was extremely awkward for me and thankfully Olaf was good and just stood there probably thinking I was crazy. I would highly recommend having someone hold your horse or at least be standing by the first few times you do this. It does feel awkward but to tell you the truth, I feel stronger mounting from the "off side" and if you do it in "public" some people will give you some very odd looks or make a comment. Just remember to use your right foot or, well you get the picture.LOL It is fall, the colors are changing, the bugs are leaving, the days are cooler and the riding is wonderful, I am so sorry for all of you who have had to suffer through fires, drought, floods, hurricanes and other acts of Mother Nature this summer. Jeanne in MI (not the hurricane)
Welcome to the list, Bindy!
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hello, Bindy - When I saw your post, and that you were in Arvada, had to send out a big welcome! I've been on the list for several years - but not until now, have I had the good fortune of a Fjord of my own. Loki comes home on June 8th - 13 more days, and counting! I live in north eastern Aurora, off I-70 just west of Watkins - that's about 25 minutes from Arvada! This message is from: "SueFreivald" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I do hope that, unlike the Susan from Lewis's Narnian Chronicles, you remain a friend of Narnia! I love the Chronicles and have read them aloud at the dinner table several times over the years of growing children. Welcome to the List! You will find a truly marvelous group of knowledgeable, generous folk. I sure have. My name is similar to yours -- Sue -- and I am from Rivendell :~)! I have ridden most of my life -- just back yard stuff, and am now riding and driving my first Fjord. They are truly remarkable as a breed and delightful as individuals. They require more quiet persistence and understanding than other breeds I believe -- make awesome, thoughtful partners. But no anthropormorphizing here -- still horses! Enjoy. They are worth what they cost. I always remember that it costs just as much if not more, to keep a mediocre or unsuitable horse as it does to keep the right one. I live on the other side of the (world) state, in upstate New York -- and it is less costly to keep a horse here, than in the City> God Bless and good luck. Sue Freivald.

Re: New Welcome Message
This message is from: Storme Lee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> hello~~ I am a new Fjord owner, I purchased Jordan in late August and am still learning stuff everyday about the breed. I am so thankful for this list. My question is this. I just moved barns, he was on 30 acres and receiving 2 flakes of grass in the evening, plus LMF Supersupplements..he is now on a 1 acre paddock, receiving 3 flakes of grass in the evening and 16 oz. of feed in the am and the pm plus a scoop of supplement. The feed and supplement is 'Dynamite'. We had to change things one because of the move and two he lost a little too much weight the last 3 weeks at my old barn. He needs to put on a little weight and when he reaches his ideal he will go back down to having feed only once a day. Is this ok? I have heard so many stories and am worried that it might be too much feed Does anyone on this list use a brand called 'Dynamite'? I have seen many horses on it and they are beautiful and healthy---one at my new barn is a 35 year old leopard spot Appy---she/he is the one in the 'Easy boot' Ads and looks like she/he is 18---20 years old, she/he still gets ridden. I live in the Seattle area, my barn is in Kent.also he was used to coming in at night at my old barn, but now is outside 24/7.he seems fine with it. Any insights would help me greatly. Thank you Storme Lee

Re: Welcome
This message is from: "SUSAN L GIARGIARI" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Welcome Astrid! I have a brother to your Marius! I am going to check your picture out after I write this. I am very curious to check him out as the brother, LLA Hilmar, that I have is a Toddy son and also an Oswin Grandson! Hilmar's dam, Dena, is an Oswin daughter. What is the pedigree of your boy! My husband, Richard, had seen a picture of Toddy in the Dutch Book and said he wanted to breed our mare, Stella 1 to him someday. Little did we know that the two horses that we rescued, each 250 pounds under weight, one of them was a Toddy son! We found out after we had them for awhile, and vet checked. They were healthy, just needed groceries. Lots of loving, too, to get them back to herd behavior and trust that they could interact with other horses again. Dena was a basket case for the first two years, and now, she goes everywhere, does Kid's camp at Penfrydd Farm, has done Equitana USA and Equine Affaire. She can have her foal taken away so she can work for a few hours and knows that it is OK and doesn't flip out any more. She is awesome. Hilmar too, finally had his day in September when we participated in the Dutch Keuring held over here. He got a 3rd premium and an A in the Agriculture ABOP, a B in the Driving and a not so good D in the riding. He was supposed to be worked with in the riding, but it didn't get done. He did get 9's for tempermant and behavior in the tests! This was great for him, as alot of people think he is "crazy" , as we brought him out in public when he still had alot of behavior issues to do with being away from all horses and across the aisle from his mom, constantly coming into heat and not having any contact with another horse. We use him now to babysit the weanlings every year. Right now he has our weanling, Vimark, who is by Hilmar, out of Stella 1. If all the mares are bred, he can run with them for the winter. He is low man on the totem pole then! He has the most beautiful color and big, gorgeous eyes! He is a very dark, butterscotch. It is not just a dark brown. He also is the sweetest boy. He will never try to hurt anyone, even when he thinks he needs to maybe get to a mare in heat! He throws this temperment in his offspring, also. One of his daughters got a 1st Premium at the Keuring and a son got a B Premium. Another daughter got an A Premium. We were very pleased. Well, I am going to check out your pictures! Glad to have you aboard on the list! Sue g.

It's a good place to come with questions. Some are professional breeders, others are long time owners and some are just beginning the "fjord experience". All have plenty of wonderful stories to tell! Here's wishing you the best in your quest for the perfect fjord for you. (...say that 5 times fast...LOL!!) ;o) Ingrid in Ohio http://www.geocities.com/fullmoonfjords/
Flying Fjord and welcome Hostar colt!
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi everyone, Nice to hear all the new foal news. MVF Neschild had a Hostar colt and I put his picture up for viewing. ( www.norwegianfjordhorses.com) She is a 2nd premium from Norway, A Rossar daughter who was a 1st premium stallion by Grabb. Will be nice to see if he gets the same momement as MH Tatiana who is out of a Grabb daughter. Brian, I know you follow Grabb offspring, I have a photo of Tatiana ( A Hostar filly by a Grabb Daughter on the sale page of our web site) She actually floats about a foot off the ground. We call her the flying fjord. She is 2 now and still floats. The picture shows her a foot off the ground all four feet. I have a series of photos and they are all that way. Amazing match for movement. MH Verde( we go for the opera themes at Mink Hollow) the new colt is related so should be fun to see! Carllientje a Holunder daughter had a beautiful Hostar Filly Vonneke. Happy Mothers day to all you new fjordie moms. Laura of the Hollow
Welcome Bonnie!
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Let me be the first to welcome you to the list, Bonnie! I sure enjoyed meeting you at the Midwest Horse Fair in Madison, WI. You were such a help! Thanks again! Perhaps one day soon I'll take a drive up to Manitowoc and visit you and Patti-I'd like to see Bergen and I'm anxious to see Patti's Uljer(sp?).Joni :)
Welcome
This message is from: "Knutsen Fjord Farm" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Welcome from me too, Jennifer. I love reading about the excitement and adventures that follow getting one's first Fjord. You and your hubbie have some great times ahead! Torrin must be the son of MVF Erlend, our grey stallion that we bought from Julie Will last year. I'd love to see any pictures you take of Torrin. If you have a scanner, you can copy and email them. If not, I'd be happy to return photos. I'd like to make another page featuring Erlend's progeny for our web site, plus a picture album to take to shows, etc. Very happy Fjording to you! For a short time the injectable was available for horses, but after a few horses died from Clostridial infections at the injection site, the company discontinued it. Also, there is an Ivomec injectable for swine that is a different strength than the cattle product. I have actually never bothered to ask if the Ivomec injectable was exactly the same as the Eqvalan oral formula. I had just assumed (dangerous to do) that since they were labeled for different species, they were slightly different. I will say, though, that a veterinarian is putting him/herself on slightly shaky ground if they sell a non-labeled product for a horse (Ivomec) when there is an effective and available product that is labeled for horses (Eqvalan), even if the contents are exactly the same. So that everyone knows what paste wormer we are talking about replacing, the active ingredient in Eqvalan is the same as what's in Zimectrin, Equimectrin, and Rotectin I. >I thought it might be more of a hassle to administer the liquid instead of the paste, but it >actually was easier, as I squirted it in with a 12 CC plastic syringe without a needle and >they made no attempt to spit it out. I don't really think the mucous membranes in the horse's mouth can absorb 10cc of liquid before the horse has a chance to swallow it, so much or most of it probably still gets to the stomach. In fact, if anything, the paste probably stays in the mouth longer. Compare how it would be for a person to try to swallow a teaspoon of toothpaste vs. a teaspoon of water. I don't think the difference in consistency really matters though; They both work well. (Incidently, Ivomec is a good dewormer for goats, sheep, and llamas when given orally. It is labeled to be used as an injection; However, many people are reluctant to give shots, so they use it orally. As long as a person is careful and makes sure it all gets in there, it seems to work fine. And while we're on the subject, if you have goats, deworm them at least four times per year. Re: Welcome to the New List
This message is from: Jean Ernest <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Jean, look in your wlcome message and you will find the ddifferent commands. "Eqvalan" liquid is the brand of Ivermectin by Merck, and it is under prescription. My vet sold it to me for about twice what it is listed in KV vet supply, but I saved money on doing it myself. Apparently "Ivomec" 1 % injectable for cattle is the very same stuff, but not under prescription! The price in the K-V vet catalog is about the same per ML but EQVALAN comes in 100 ml bottles, IVOMEC comes in 50 and 200 ML bottles. 1 ml/110 lbs, or 10 ml for a 1100 lb horse. I use a 12 ml plastic syringe and squirt it onto the middle of the horse's tongue. They don't seem to spit it out like the paste! Glad you are having some dry weather...I would have preferred the 10 inches of snow they were warning us about, rather than this melting stuff and freezing rain! We're losing our insulation! Jean in Fairbanks, temp dropped to +39, but still dripping out there: all the pretty snow and frost has fallen off the trees! > >Jean, Two questions, "Who" is located where in reference to new commands on >the list? Again, thanks for all your work Steve..this list is important to me! I don't geel so isolated way up here in Fairbanks! The temp got up to +43 today and I got manes cut, and wormed everybody with liquid Eqvalan (ivermectin). Boy, that's much easier than using the paste! and my vet says its is more effective. Now, if I only could have gotten the farrier out to do their feet...first time in two months it has been warm enough, but the roads were slick sheets of ice, with freezing rain, "frost" building up on the cold pavement, etc. More freezing rain predicted. Then back to -10 to -30 Friday and Christmas! What crazy weather! Jean in Fairbanks, Alaska, where we are GAINING daylight, even if it only half a minute! I was captivated by their quiet nature, their "primitive" coloration, and their strong build. I asked the owner what kind they were. She wasn't very talkative, but I did get the breed name. Next, I go home to the internet (dangerous thing!) and find Fjord web sites. I am hooked. I find www.fjordpony.com and next thing I know, I'm a happy Fjord Mom! Brigid

This message is from: "Jean Gayle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Re first fjord sighting. I had my big trakehner training at Miari stables in Oympia, Wa. One day while having watched my boy work, Ann came out with Wez and I fell in love with that darling hard working boy. My mare, Amblin Brook was a whiz of a brood mare and was sick and tired of arena work altho she was very good. So I was finally able to let her go and that left room for Howdie my first fjord. It really was a plot inspired by Wez. Jean Gayle Aberdeen, WA [Authoress of "The Colonel's Daughter" Occupied Germany 1946 TO 1949 ] http://www.techline.com/~jgayle Barnes & Noble Book Stores

Yes. It was Howard Berge's stallion, Chico, who looked very much like a heavy-built old style Quarter Horse as I recall. Still I liked him. So we began looking for one - no easy task in western Washington where there were none! It seemed we were always "just a little late" in our inquiries and the horses had "just sold". Finally a couple about an hour's drive from us bought a pair of mares from Bev Bishop(then Bev Tarmina), so we drove by to see them. No one was at home, so we just looked from the car. By this time we had received pictures from Anita Unrau - in Alberta, Canada, no less - and had tentatively chosen a mare, based on our still wanting her when we actually saw her. Mid-summer that year we finally saw - up close and "personal" - their herd. The mare we had picked was everything her picture showed, and more. She was the first Fjord I ever got close enough to to touch, and we are still "together". We bought her on the spot, loaded her up and brought her home - what a trip!! That was in 1986. She was the beginning of an adventure with several Fjords over the years. At 28 she is retired and enjoying it. It took a while to realize that, although I like her ulsdun color, it is not all that easy to come by, so Line is our only ulsdun. She does pass her personality - unflappable - on to her babies though. And some of them produce ulsdun foals. Her eyes, by the way, are also quite large and kind. No, they are not light colored, but are brown - a little lighter brown than those of a brown dun, but still VERY brown. Needless to say, I'm glad that Orville weakened and "let" Anita buy those two ulsdun mares she saw in Norway and wanted. I have been very happy with Line - thank you very much guys! At the Washington County Fair. I took my son to it, and ended up around the animal exhibits. Walked through the quarter horse area, the percheron, clydesdale areas and then stopped. There were some exquisite small horses that I'd never seen before. Such big eyes, such beautiful manes. I was given the Fjord Flyer. I stayed and just stared at the horses. Till my little boy literally dragged me away. Next year: same thing. Moved to New Mexico, saw an ad in the local horse magazine for fjords. Mentioned them in passing to my husband, how they are so beautiful and sweet, I wanted one. He took me for a drive to Ginny Cowles place and to my surprise told me to pick one. Ginny had two mares that were equally beautiful for sale. Wendy and Juniper. I couldn't decide between the two till Ginny told me to hurry up and pick one. She would give me first choice, but somebody else was interested too! Tough decision, but you all know who I picked! Pamela

Consider the welcome mat down
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Beth, You'd certainly be welcome to come for the 'ride of a lifetime'! Actually, I think I may have created some 'beach monsters'! This weekend the gals from my barn went back to the beach for an encore ride. The weather has been unbelievable. I had to stay home and work, sigh. One of the gals said her hubby was mumbling as she left about her cleaning house someday?! She told him she'd do it next month after the rains started! HA! Just as an interesting side note - on our final beach ride last year, we discovered, the hard way, that horses can get vertigo if you allow them to stare at the water. As the waves come in, the sand and water is in constant swirling motion. We had a couple of them actually go down in the surf!! They got dizzy and fell right over! It was pretty scary, not to mention 'invigorating'? The Pacific Ocean is pretty cold this far north! We don't let them focus on the ground anymore while riding on the beach!! Regarding haircuts. Niki May recently referred to herself as the "Nazi" of turnout. Guess I am the NAZI of haircuts! It is a matter of preferance. I show in a lot of open shows. For the most part, those judges are 'main-breed' judges, i.e., Qh, Arab, Paint etc. They expect to see the horses 'clean'. When in Rome - so I have always done MAJOR haircuts to go with the flow. I trim ears (pony clip for horses outside) and the goat hairs under the chin as well as whiskers and the hair inside the nostrils. It never ceases to amaze me how much prettier they look after a haircut! Also, in this area, we have clay instead of dirt. We have a small creek that flows through 2 of our pastures. The horses spend a lot of time up to their knees searching for that one blade of GREENER grass that grows there. The GUMBO that clings to their legs is like concrete! There is no 'brushing' that stuff off! It takes a fire hose or JACKHAMMER to get it off! So I keep the hair on their legs as short as possible. Gayle Ware Field of Dreams Eugene, OR
