CSRe: CS on paws

2001-11-11 Thread Annhope1

I would put CS in a spray bottle and then just treat the fungus sites plus
giving it to them orally. I am presently working on a Maltese that has a
fungus. Conventional treatments have not worked.

A few months ago, I noticed one of my cats was walking lightly on his back
feet. I looked between his toes and there was an irritation, pads were
swollen, not sure if it was fungus. I made a tea of calendula petals and
water, let it cool, and saturated between the pads. When that dried, I
sprayed CS between the paw pads. This was procedure was done several times a
day, saturating thoroughly. Within 24 hrs there was noticeable healing,
within 3 days the problem was resolved.

Re: CSThe dog with bronchial pneumonia

Josephine -- I can't remember if you're using a cold humidifier, but what
 about a croup tent?
You know, keep the dog in a small space (dog crate?) with the humidifier
throwing CS mist and a blanket
over the crate to confine the mist to the dog's breathing area. Anyone have
 comments on this idea?
 Judy Down Maine

Josephine,
Last June, I board out one of my cats at the vets, due to an emergency she
had the day before leaving on a vacation. She came home with a mean upper
resp. virus, something which we had never seen/experienced before. I started
nebulizing her in an enclosed, clear plastic storage container, twice a day,
with CS and anti. For two days she was seriously ill, never had I seen a
cat gasping for breath, she was on deaths doorstep. Well, 2 days later,
after 4 days treatment, she was doing great! From the day she started to get
ill to 8 days later, this cat made a miraculous recovery! On day 8 she was
completely normal, you'd never know she was ill. Vet was very surprised as
she said she had several cats that had caught the URI and they were still
fighting the infection, antibiotics weren't working.
I think enclosing your dog in a covered crate or depending on his size, a
clear container with a lid would be more effective. Space Savers has some
pretty large containers with lids. I say clear because I would think the
animals would get panicky in a dark container. Once my cat saw she could see
me through the container she sat quietly.
I continue to give the cats CS (orally), a dropper full(when I think of it).
Occasionally, I have replaced their drinking water with various
concentrations of CS.. from 5 ppm to 12ppm, give or take. Recently, I had
an older cat that seemed a bit off. She was sleeping alot and not playing.
I hadn't given them CS for sometime, so I gave her a dropper full of CS for a
few days...she bounced right back!
My cats are high energy and sometimes after a high speed chase or playful
boxing match, one will have a winky eye. I use CS with a minute amout of
celtic salt added, to ease the sting... works like a charm.

One neat thing about the silvergen unit is that it has an automatic
stirrer, but the site is vague on whether or not you'd need to filter the
CS upon it's completion. It does specify though that it will avoid
agglomeration through use of the stirrer.
Any thoughts on these? Does anyone know of any 'better' units?
  Thanks!dave

Dave,
I have a silvergen, its set on approx. 10ppm and there is no need to filter
after its done, the CS is clear. I really like my unit, its automatic w/ a

the airport. I always carry a bottle in my purse. I had thought about
taking it out and walking it through but I didn't want to raise suspicion
with the security guards. Thank you for clearing up that issue! When we go on
trips, I always fill a large plastic bottle and put it in my suitcase. CS
has saved me at home from food poisoning, I think its invaluable on any trip
and one of the first items I pack.
Its interesting that for some time now I have been touting CS to my friends
and some have jumped on the wagon... some not. But now, due to the bio
warfare issue, they are writing to me asking questions. I have a good friend

searching for preventative applications or complimentary products should he
have to take cipro. I forwarded him your site. : )

IS ELECTRO-PURE™ COLLOIDAL SILVER AFFECTED BY ELECTROMAGNETIC FORCES,
MICROWAVES, CELL PHONES, AIRPORT X-RAY AND METAL DETECTION DEVICES OR OTHER
EXTERNAL FORCES
Many sellers of colloids of silver have made claims that their products will
be damaged if they are exposed to certain influences such as electromagnetic
fields, X-rays, or microwaves. We performed a battery of treatments,
including boiling, freezing, micro-waving, X-raying, exposure to metal
detectors, electric motors, fluorescent lights, sunshine, television sets and
computer monitors, and a powerful permanent magnet. We then performed tests
for color, PPM silver and germicidal potency and found Electro-Pure TM
Colloidal Silver to be unaffected.

http://www.pure-silver-colloid.com/hype-fact.html
J Electro-Pure™ took samples of our colloidal silver to National Airport in
Washington, DC and had them scanned in the security X-ray chambers. The
attendants were alarmed that the containers were so dense in the pictures on
the monitor so they stopped the conveyor and took extra time to identify the
unknown shapes. These samples were tested the next day for actual PPM silver
and tested against the usual bacterial and yeast cultures In Vitro and found
to be unaffected by exposure to the X-rays. Other samples were placed in a
home microwave oven and treated to the point of boiling on the high power
setting. This product was then tested for PPM of silver and efficacy on
bacteria and yeast cultures and found to be unaffected as well. So be sure to
take your bottle of Electro-Pure™ with you whenever you fly out of the
country.

CSRe: CS H2O2

2001-10-20 Thread Annhope1
With H2O2, the easiest test for benefit is against ear infections. There IS
a synergistic effect that can be demonstrated in combined use. Normally,
those who use hydrogen peroxide in the ears use it at 3% strength. Adding a
few drops of colloidal silver to a 1/2 ounce of 3% hydrogen peroxide
certainly causes a noticeable change when the H2O2 CS mixture reaches the
infection. In fact, with more severe infections, it can be painful! The
solution is to cut the 3% H2O2 down to about 1.5%. I have yet to meet an ear
infection that did not respond incredibly well.

Jason or anyone,
Do you mix this for a one time application? Or can you mix CS and H202 and
use when needed? What is the approx. shelf life of this mixture? Was
wondering if H202 would loose its fizzle in storage.

 their pets.
The cancer is fibrocarcinoma. How has it been used , what dosage for an
80 lb dog and can a good quality be bought at a health food store.

Wanda,
I recently sent a friend of mine some CS for her dog. The dog has a
grapefruit size tumor on/around his pancreas. The vets have offered to put
the dog down. My friend was willing to try anything and had no knowledge of
CS.
She said after a few days treatment of CS, approx. a T. in the morn, he
seems like a new dog, eating, etc. Maybe the CS has taken care of some
lesser issues and made him feel better? Whatever the reason, she has
increased his dosage to twice a day and hoping for a miracle.
You can replace the water in your dogs bowl with straight CS or give it by
mouth, both of which I have done on numerous occasions with my cats.

Personally, I would not buy CS at the health food store. Its very expensive
and for the price of a few bottles, you can make your own. You'll want to
start making your own anyhow as CS has endless uses.

SubQ- CS injections are VERY painful for the animaltakes 4 hands (and

Connie,
Why do you think that CS is any more/less painful than a regular injection...
maybe its was just the act of injecting the kitten? Wouldn't it be like
injecting water? The needle size makes a big difference. At the vets, they
use a very large needle for sub-q so the process is quick. When I use a
smaller size needle for sub-q, it takes longer but is better tolerated by the
cat.
Its funny though, when my cats are treated at the vets, they sit very
still... bring them home and try it, thats another story.

Re: CS Dosing Animals

2001-10-17 Thread Annhope1

I'd like to ask how you dose animals with
CS. HHA recommends 1/2 tsp. for a large dog in a pint of water of their 500
ppm CS. I'm assuming there's a more direct way, i.e., syringing down the
throat for more immediate intake and/or for animals that might not be
consuming water. How do you dose and how do you determine how much? HHA
also recommends changing the water daily. If you administer your CS via
waterers, do you change daily? I'm thinking about the 30+ gallon waterers
 for goats, llamas, etc.

Julie,
I came on the list about 2 yrs ago looking for the treatment of cats with CS.
I started out with HHA CS but do not use it now and make my own CS with a
Silvergen generator. It works great for us and it makes approx. 10ppm CS. I
have, on numerous occasions, replaced the cats regular water with 10ppm CS.
They don't seem to care if its water or CS. I have also administered CS
directly to the cat via dropper right in their mouth, letting them swallow
it. I did have one older cat recently who just didn't seem up to par. She
was eating OK and her coat looks great but she was sleeping alot and not
playing. I gave her a dropper full (from a 2oz bottle) for a few mornings in
a row. I noticed a difference in a few days, shes back to zipping around
with the younger cats again and more sociable.
I sent a friend of mine some of my own CS who has a 10 yr. old dog with a
large (grapefruit size) tumor in or around its pancreas. The vet told her
that the dogs life is short and will not intervene with any surgeries, meds,
etc. She started the dog on CS and within 2 days she says hes acting like a
new dog?! Not sure whats going on but will be interesting to follow. There
are a few list members who have used CS on their farm animals.

I have an open mind, thats what led me to CS in the first place and then to

looney or the hordes of people I know who also look into some of the same

the rest matter-of-factly.
I feel I have experienced the ravage of a closed mind individual... I hope he

I realize we get off topic occasionally but it provides a little relief for

Tony,
Heres the way that CS works for me to get rid of a sore throat as drinking it
did not do the trick. I bought a small spray bottle (fine mist, blue colored
glass from Space Savers)... fill it with CS. When I feel a sore throat
coming on I just sit with that bottle in my hand and about every 20 - 30
seconds for about 10 -12 mins spray into my mouth, aiming for the back of my
throat. I also inhale (through the mouth) somewhat when I spray which can
cause a cough or two but it really gets it into my throat. This method has
worked numerous times for me. The CS is approx 7 - 10 ppm.
I keep that same spray bottle on my kitchen sink for those little
emergencies, its easier than a dropper bottle.

CSMagazine Quack alert article

Hi all,
I picked up a copy of Oct. Oprah magazine a few days ago and found an
interesting article.  On page 143... Quack Alert (pictured next to a bottle
of snake oil).  This article addresses alternative, unproven and possible
dangerous modalities for health treatment.
In red letters ... Touts a treatment without studies which talks about CS.
It goes on to says according to stories, its helped arthritics throw away
their crutches and treated everything from acne to AIDS.  Just when you
thought it gets good.. theres that   But... you can't be sure the people who
were helped had any properly diagnosed problems  says Ruth Kava, PhD,
director of nutrition for the Amer. Council on  Science and Health. She then
says  ...and of course the stories could be totally fabricated.
Then it says Key  C.S. into PubMed's database and instead of miraculous
recoveries you'll find studies that associate longtime use of the solution to
argyria, a condition that turns your skin gray - permanently.

In with the CS article, they talk about Fat burning pills, magnets, ear
candles, brain stiumlators, unethical pracitioners, chelations, ETC.,  and as
they put it...other candidates for the Quack Hall of Fame.

Oprah has a vast following, its a shame CS got such a bum rap.  Maybe a few
of the more CS knowledge gang on the list could forward their sites and the
studies done by some of the universities to Oprahs website. Who knows, maybe
they could stir up enough curiousity and get on an  alternative show for
Oprah!

CSRe: burn

The CS, of course, did its usual fine job of preventing infection,
which, by itself, is enough to speed healing.
Comments?

Mike,
Am a little behind in email but just read your about your sons burn. I have
personally used CS for burns from the oven. Pain was relieved quickly and
went on to heal barely noticeable.
Heres another thought about cold water and burns and anyone feel free to
comment as I'm not an expert in Kneippism but have read about it. I'm sure
some of you are familiar with the water cures of Father Kneipp(Germany
1800's) as it is practiced in Europe extensively. (Cold showers, lake
dipping, etc) Cold water emersion is used to warm the body extremities,
body, etc. The thought is that is if your are cold to immerse or get into
cold water for a short time then wrap up in clothing, blankets, etc. which
will produce great warmth within a short time. Kneipp says that by using
cold water on feet, arms, body, etc. the brain perceives this as needing to
send warmth to the area via circulation. I think encouraging circulation to
any area of trama is good. Not sure when running a burned area of the skin
under cold water would be the best using the Kneipp beliefs but I have done
cold water for burns myself as it seems, for the moment, to bring about some
relief. Does it encourage heat though when wrapped afterwards?
I liked the idea of clay on the area, but have never tried it.
Thoughts from any practicing Kneippers out there?

BTW, low cholesterol is more of a problem than high cholesterol, as
reported again in the latest Lancet. Low cholesterol is predictive of an
increase

no correlation to heart disease and cholesterol levels are barely influenced
by food intake, the body manufacturing by far the greatest proportion found
serum itself.

Ivan,
I find this very interesting. I had my cholesterol tested as I had been a
vegetarian for a number of years. The reading came back at 135. I was the
envy of my friends and had to show them the report as they almost didn't
believe me. I had heard from other veg. that low cholesterol went along with
that diet. Now I'm not feeling so lucky...
Not too long after that test I went back to eating meat as I couldn't shake
being anemic... per my Dr's suggestion after all else failed. The change
worked and I remain just above the anemia borderline. I just had cholesteral
run again a few weeks ago, it came back as 215 with the the big letter H
next to it. I can't seem to win.

CSRe: tea tree oil

2001-08-07 Thread Annhope1
I'm wondering if you have a resource regarding the danger of using the
 TTO on cats. Thanks. Dottie

Dottie,

I randomly went to a few TTO sites on the internet, all selling the product.
Heres what I found:

The first site, which was quite extensive, had only one application of TTO
for animals... diluted in a dog shampoo with this disclaimer under it:
Tea Tree Oil products conform to the 'Fixed Cut -Off ' policy in terms of
animal testing. Therefore, none of the ingredients which go to make up this
range have been tested on animals.

Second site: This was their recommended dilution for use of TTO in pet
products, 2%. They tested TTO on humans and found they could take a 25%
dilution with no effects.
What concentration of (co. name)Tea Tree Oil do you recommend for use in a
pet-care shampoos?
A. Tea Tree Oil has a number of benefits for pet care products. The most
notable being its antiseptic properties, which help prevent infection from,
cuts and scratches. It is also a mild anaesthetic and an excellent insect
repellent making it ideal for anti-itch and flea shampoos. For preventative
type products 1-3% tea tree oil would be adequate. For products which are
intended to be used for treatment purposes we would recommend using 5-10%.
When developing a pet care range it is also important to remember that some
animals have very sensitive skin and can develop an irritation to some
substances. We would therefore recommend that formulators only use (company
name) Pharmaceutical Grade Tea Tree Oil for products containing greater than
2% tea tree oil.

Third site: An essential oil co., this is their disclaimer for human use:
All pure essential oils should be used with care. Do not apply directly into
skin. A 2% dilution of essential oils to a base of carrier oil or lotion is
recommended for all skincare and massage preparations.

My first experience with TTO... my neighbor called me over in a panic one
day, said her cat was ill. That was an understatement. It was lying on the
floor, very sick, having spasms and died a short time later. She had used
pure TTO on it, not sure what she was using it for.

I was/am a member on many cat lists. Years ago, someone posted a question
about using TTO, and MANY people came back with DON'T use it, its toxic!.
So it was common knowledge on the cat lists that TTO, by its self, was toxic
to cats. As stated by Jo, cats are highly sensitive to chemicals, ess. oils,
etc. Maybe the brand of TTO you buy is already diluted or not that potent in
the first place. I have heard of others using TTO and I would assume their
oil would be the same. Not everything sold in a bottle is true to the
label... and maybe thankfully so if you are using the TTO on your cats.
TTO is sold in one of my pet catalogs. It doesn't state what animal it can be
used on, only a generic explanation which could be applied for human use.
There are a few other items in that catalog that a cat would not benefit from
but dogs would, but I'm sure the co. is depending on buyers not knowing this.
The thought well, if its good for me, it must be good for the cat/dog..

Dottie,

I was thinking of that message from the lady with the kittens (forgot
the disease was) when she sprayed the spots, they spread all
 over the kittens.

That was me and I was talking about DMSO on ringworm. It made it worse.

Also, I've tried spraying my cats ears with a mix of cs and tea tree oil.
nbsp; They became very red and inflamed looking. Not sure if it was some
sort of allergy or if it bugged him so much he just kept pawing at his ears
 causing them to become red

For all the cat people on the list. Tea tree oil is highly toxic to a cat...
it can kill just by putting it on the skin. If your going to use tea tree
oil, dilute it with a carrier oil like olive oil. I mean just a few drops to
an oz of oil.

CSRe: DMSO

2001-08-02 Thread Annhope1

I would not advise that. Poison ivy is caused by an oil from the plant that
ends up on the skin. DMSO will take it directly into the inside of the body
 with possibly severe results.

Years ago, I received a kitten that had ringworm. I didn't even know what RW
was and the vet advised me about keeping him apart, hand washing, etc. Well..
the RW spread to a litter of 6 wk kittens I had at the time. They only had a
few spots each.. not too bad. Someone suggested I try DMSO on the RW spots.
I was already familiar with DMSO as we used it on the horses. I swabbed the
RW on and by the next day these little kittens were covered with RW. I was
shocked... I will assume the DMSO took the RW in and spread it systemically.
Not sure if adding CS would have helped or not. Theres just some skin
conditions you don't want to use DMSO... at least by itself.

have you ever heard of CS helping cure bordatella in puppies? l have
a friend that raises akc bulldogs and she recently lost 25puppies from
it...they cant cough and get the congestion out so they all get pneumonia she
said. Their vet says CS doesnt help this so they havent tried.

First off I'm surprised the vet said CS hasn't worked. Is that because hes
used it or just a guess. I don't know of any vet who uses or recommends CS.
One of my female cats, after getting pregnant had contracted bordetella from
the male. The vet put her on anti. and she seemed fine but he warned me that
even though they look fine, a month or two after that, with any stress, they
can break again. Well.. the day she had kittens, within hours, coughed and
sneezed all over them. I truely thought I would loose them all.. but by the
grace of god, they never caught it.
IF MY kittens would have caught the Bord. you can bet I would have
administered CS several times a day no matter what my vet said. What have you
got to loose other than not trying it then they will die.
BTW, there is a vacc for bord in dogs and cats. If I had the experience that
your friend did, I would certainly try a preventative. CS would be the first.
Theres not many vacc I would suggest but after two of my cats caught Bord. I
vacc the whole lot and we've never seen Bord after that. That was almost 5

MaryJo,
You can nebulize a cat... I just did one for the first time. I had boarded my
cat at the vets while away and she came back with some eye irritation which
turned into a mean URI. I'd never seen anything like it... her neck was
outstretched, mouth open breathing, no coughing, sneezing though. She was in
distress so out came my nebulizer which I had purchased years ago and never
used. Get a lg. plastic container with a lid. I found mine at Space Savers,
for kids toys, it even had wheels. It was also clear so I could observe the
cat. Put a folded towel or pad for comfort and cut a small round hole in the
side and insert the nebby tube.
I worked with the vet on the meds used which were: Epinephrine, liq. Baytril
and then finished filling the cup with sterile water OR CS. She went in this
container for 30 min, twice a day for three days, during which time at night
I gave her INFANT nose drops to help her breath. I also put CS in her eyes
and nose during the day. After each nebby treatment you could see it gave her
some relief. I read in an article that epinephrine will open passages in the
nasal area, along with many other areas but she had no lung issues, just
couldn't breath through her nose. Had she had lung issues I would have
substituted the epi. with mucomist.
Within a week of being nebbied she was back to normal..like nothing ever
happened.
Your cat has alot of issues, one thing I would do is remove any dry food and
put her on the best canned food you can find. With her mouth in such poor
condition dry food will probably hurt plus it contains too many fillers a cat
can't utilize. Cats are animals that need to get their moisture from their
food... hence wet food is always better. Wysong or comm. food called Prestige
is also good.

I think there's reason to be at least a bit cautious when using
 diatomaceous
earth. It's quite unhealthy to breath, and would be unhealthy for the
 lungs
 of a pet too.
Similarly, use caution when deciding to use another supposedly safe and
natural flea killer... Pyrethrum - an extract from chrysanthemum flowers.
I know of a cat who just yesterday started having seizures... the owner's
vet diagnosed the problem as poisoning from flea shampoo containing
pyrethrum, and marketed as safe for cats and dogs, NOT!

When we lived in Fl, nothing short of nuclear waste could not get rid of the
critters that lived outside. Not wanting to be invaded by these critters and
against chemicals, I remembered a cheap, safe powder that many of my friends
used up north in numerous applications including pets, furniture, gardens,
etc... Diatomaceous earth. In all the years I lived in Fl., we never had one
flea and had a cat/dog team who used to go in and out. The DE worked wonders.
I would agree one should not breath it in but you can use a applicator with
a few holes in the top(wear a mask if your worried) with low level sprinkling
and be free of fleas, ants, etc. Once its down on the floor, sill or pet, its
not dusty anymore, thats if you use it sparingly. I use it now in NC for
those pesky ants and the occasional spider. I just line the window sills,
door jams and no more ants. I am now aware of a few people who use it for pet
parasite control.
I would also agree that cats are HIGHLY sensitive to chemicals whether it be
natural or otherwise.

I posted on the oxy list, sorry about the repeat, that years ago reading in

I gave this info to two friends who had regular outbreaks of genital herpes.
Both did the protocol and about the 6-8 month time, they rarely had an

(Anyone know of a totally meat dog food? Or at least one without grain?)

Marshalee,
Right now I don't have a dog but I do know of one dog food that is meat based
in a can, Wysong, usually carried by vets but they also have a web site which
may let you order from there. Its not inexpensive but how many pets are being
run back and forth to the vet for diabetes and skin problems, etc? !
I'd rather feed a little more expensive canned food than to see my pet
feeling like crap and me spending money for years with vets when there is a
simple solution and the cost is less over the long run.
Sorry this is a little offtopic but to make a point on a good pet diet... I
got a kitten about 4 years ago with so many problems (green snots, skin
lesions, protruding anus, ear fungus, watery eyes, etc.) my vet wanted to put
him to sleep. Not me, oh no... give me a challenge plus the big purr out of
that little helpless body...I found a good supportive cat site and
started to feed a supplemented raw diet. In about 6 wks, I had a whole new
cat!! That was it.. all the cats/kittens went on this diet to this day are
doing wonderful...
For those who have cats: http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition
(they list the ingred for their supplement should you want to save some $'s)
I went to my local meat market and approached them about getting ground meat
for less ... guess what.. they were happy to oblige. (yes I was shameless,
pulled out the cat pics, talked about sick kitty... I think he agreed to get
rid of me :) I go at the end of the day and get fresh ground meat for a
fraction of what it costs over the counter so they don't have to store or
sell it the next day. Then I buy an already made supplement (which I could
make myself for much less) add it to the meat and the cost is the same as it
would be for REGULAR (yuk) canned cat food. Food for thought
Also, heres a great site that was forwarded to me which will compare and
list ingreds of dog or cat food.
http://www.waggintails.com/index.epl?AnimalID=1

You are right, cat and dog food is based on grains which have no use in an
animals system and they get hooked on dry food very quickly as its like junk
food is to humans. To this day if my cats even smell dry cat food in the
house(mail samples) they will sit and yowl for it over their meat meal. Like
kids over candy.
So many animals have skin problems, ear yeast problems, smelly stool, etc...
all which can be eliminated with a supplemented meat (no grains) diet
Off my soapbox now...

 that
drinking distilled water leaches minerals from the body, and that's not
really what I want to do. I may be totally wrong about this though.

Eleanor,
I have my own distiller which was suggested many years ago for health
reasons. Since then, I have heard contradictory thoughts on drinking
distilled water. I'm glad I held on to my distiller as I now make my own CS.
I just installed a whole house water purifier.. drinking straight from the
faucet has never been so good.

Your question about freezing CS is a good one. If I only use the CS for
the purpose of decreasing the amount of bacteria in the meat, would let's
say 30 minutes BEFORE freezing be long enough?

I think one of the fellows on this list can better address this situation. My
thoughts are that CS works in 6 - 10 mins., so 30 minutes ought to do the
trick. I guess to be on the safe side when feeding or anyone eating raw
meat, a soak in CS would be a good thing. Some people use H202 to soak
chicken and such before cooking. The meat I purchase is from a reliable
source so I don't worry about it. I've been feeding my cats raw for almost 4

Eleanor,
I also prepare my cats food (raw) and it never dawned on me to use the CS
water as replacement for the water in the recipe(Feline Future). I would
wonder the efficiancy of the CS after being frozen. I prepare their food,
put it in baggies in freezer and take it out daily, thaw and feed. Anyone
want to take a guess or have info about freezing CS?

I do add CS to their drinking water on occasion and have used approx. 10 ppm
as their only water also. I do this sporatically as I don't know that they
need it on a daily basis. They don't go outdoors or aren't exposed to other
animals. I do feel it keeps the bowl cleaner between cleanings.
I have a water bowl that has a plastic container which stores about a qt of
water(to which I add CS) and fills as it needs to. Its also elec. and the
water comes out a spout into the bowl. The cats prefer to drink from this
water, I will assume they like water that is oxygenated? They seem to be
attracted to water from a spout into a bowl which used to be my bathroom sink
until I purchased a waterfall of their own. :)
Terri L.
PS. I use CS myself. I keep some in a spray bottle on kitchen counter for
those little emergencies. Last fall I did mega doses of CS (two months) for
a particular situation and have taken it sporadically since.
I always take a plastic bottle full on any vacation in case we get ill from a

Most pet owners don't even question a yearly vacc. Lets give this some
thought... a human child gets one set of vacc. that last on average 60 - 70
yrs.
An animal, by most vet standards gets an annual vacc. Now Fifi only lives on
the average of 15ys. Why can't Fifi's one time vacc build immunity and last
for their very short lifespan? Vacc. challenge the immune system and as an
animal gets older this can present a problem in many areas.
I have read on numerous sites that some vets are finally questioning the need
for yearly and have upped to 3 ys... which still baffles me. When I do vacc.
my cats, I use intranasal /intraocular to avoid site related sarcomas PLUS
most virus/germs enter the body through the nose, eyes, mouth. The vacc.
stimulates immunity in the tissues where the viruses enter the body.
Of course I use CS in their water or as their water to keep the cooties away.

The review points to a fundamental premise that the long lived and
healthy Hunza people drink pure glacial water, free from mineral
'contamination', whereas others have attributed the good health to the
'glacial soup', brimming with the complete spectrum of minerals...

A little OT, but a few summers ago, we were up in Northern Alberta, Canada
vacationing. From Jasper we took a trip to a glacier. Out on the glacier
were mini streams carved at varying depths, with the water moving quickly to
find its way down the glacier. I watched the vehicle drivers bend down and
fill their bottles with this water and drink it. They drink it on a daily
basis. He said the water we're seeing is a 100 years old or older and quite
safe. So my son and I gave it a shot... it had the most wonderful taste!
Like a full bodied taste but not too much of anything... hard to explain,
very clean, not a visible spec of anything. Those drivers were probably as
healthy as can be. I can see why the Hunza liked glacial water.

Go into the site and type in Stevia where it says product search. I think
its $10.95 for 2 oz, but it last forever. Very sweet, pleasant taste.

Just heard of a natural South American natural plant based substitute,
called stevia. Anyone have/had experience with it? Something like 100+

I've used Stevia liq. for years and really like it. I've tried three
different kinds, two from a local health food store and one I order from out
of state, herbal site. I prefer the ordered version as the two brands I find
in the local health food store leave an herbal aftertaste. Stevia does not
affect the blood sugar levels so it is great for diabetics.

We had high hopes for stevia before we tried it. It tastes vaguely of
 licorice, and I
agree that I have read it is SUPPOSED to be 100 times sweeter, but in
 actual use this
does not seem to be the case at all. My wife makes the comment that it's
 sort of like
trying to sweeten something with licorice whips. To me, it doesn't seem to
 be all
that sweet, and it's incredibly expensive.

Karl,
Did you try a few different brands? They do taste different from brand to
brand. The one I stay with is incredibly sweet, using more than 3 or 4 drops
in a cup of coffee is too much. I also purchased some powdered stevia for
baking and such... very herbal tasting, I didn't care for it.

To think I had my thyroid fried once let alone twice!

Pity as all you both likely need was to eat more crucierfers for a

Yes it was Hashimotos...The Dr who initially treated me was the only

Good information to pass on about shaving. DMSO could be found anywhere then,

CSAd for CS

2000-11-20 Thread Annhope1
Hi all,
Someone had just posted a note questioning what form of advertising they
would use to sell CS .
I received a full color CS brochure (8 1/2 X 11) today in the mail by
HomeCure, no envelope, just folded over with one piece tape at ends. Its 8
pages with a www addy: www.homecure.com.
Talk about an ad for CS... alot of info!
References from Larolinska Institute, Silver Institute, Medical Ctr.Syracuse
University, Science Digest, and a quote from Alfred B. Searle The Use of
Colloids in Healthy Disease and Dr. Henry Crooks, MD.
They sell: CS in all size containers PLUS Silver Salve, Silver Lotion,
Colloidal Silver Lozenge, Colloidal Gold (very interesting read) and a book
by Martha M. Christy Colloidal Silver - Natural Alternative to Antibiotics.
Its one heck of a brochure considering I've read the gov. is going to
attempt shuting down sites that sell CS.
They say about water purity: we use only revitalized ozonated water
PPM: 5 - 10 ppm They also sell a 50ppm plus
Particle size: 0.001 - 0.004 or less.
I'm sure if someone wanted one of these brochures, they could go to the
website and request. Wonder if this person/company is on the list with
us...??
They're out of Mesa, AZ... well their PO Box is there.
Quite an eye opener this ad, hopefully its a sign of times to come.

BTW, I don't know these people or have a vested interest.

etc. I plan on looking into it for my arthritis. Anyone familiar with this
technique?
If too OT, please email me personally.
Thanks
Terri

Part of the article:
To discover the causative agents, we theorized that a disease such as
arthritis might be the result of the presence of a highly adaptive
microorganism residing in the host, she continues. Interestingly,
pathogenic microorganisms are able to transform and adapt to their changing
environments very quickly when necessary--often avoiding detection as a
result. For the longest time, however, Western science has assumed that the
extant relationship between the pathogen and its host naturally migrates
toward peaceful coexistence, and the pathogen itself toward less aggressive
behavior in an effort to keep the host alive. Unfortunately, this is not
always true. As Jaffe and Mellor furthered their research, they increasingly
came to realize that diseases caused by pathogenic microorganisms are far
more prevalent in contemporary life than commonly believed. Jaffe and Mellor
concluded that the presence of microorganisms they term External Pathogenic
Factors are at the heart of many modern-day chronic dis ease conditions such
as arthritis.

Dean,
Thanks for your response.

The entire message from this guy sounds like bunk (sorry if you know
him well, but that's how it reads).

I don't know him, only through a few emails off another list.

The listing of $$ asked by Clark may be factual (from the quack site),
but is peanuts compared to what hospitals and MDs charge for NOT
 fixing the problem.

He did say the same thing to me, in essence the Drs were charging great
amount of $'s and they didn't cure anything either.

I would like to see a documented case that proves the Clark zapper is us=
 eful=20
for anything except as a toy.

He said he built zappers and sold them for a while... says not one person got
any benefit from them. I'm glad to hear that you had such good luck with
yours. I don't own one so I can't say. I have heard of people having
difficulty mastering the device, hard to pinpoint freq. and such.

Have him get in touch with me. Clark's zapper is the ONLY medicine,
device, procedure, etc. that's STOPPED my chronic, debilitating, sinus
condition!!! Nothing else either the MDs (20+ of them) or myself
tried took care of the problem.

It was certainly NOT belief in the zapper, nor in what Clark said that
worked on my sinus situation. I'd known about the zapper for a year
(maybe more) before I finally tried it. It took that long because I
KNEW it couldn't possibly have any effect (I have a certificate in EE
and degree in physics). I tried it because there was nothing left to
 try.

I am of the opinion that many if not most alternative therapies, and eve=
 n=20
some conventional therapies work because of the person's faith in them t=
 o=20
 work.
And ... this guy is simply close-minded. I'd really like to know if
he did visit Clark for a month, as he says.

Well, he says he did, but who knows for sure. He did use other suggestions in
her book that worked well for him.

BTW, I've not tried any of Clark's suggestions about Black Walnut
extract, etc., so I can't comment on them.

I have used her parasite program, I have the whole family on it. No problems
from it, haven't seen any worms yets, but thats not to say they're not there.

However, I have helped several cats, raccoons, etc. cure illnesses with
colloidal silver.

Ditto here. Last night I noticed my 7 month old kitten limping and quiet. I
examined his swollen paw and there was a irritation, something like
athletets foot between his paw pads. I got my CS out and really washed it
out. Whats nice about treating animals with it, it doesn't matter if they
lick it off... and it doesn't sting or smell.
I just looked at him this morn and there was great improvement over night.
Chalk up another one for my ongoing CS 'fixed it list.

Hey Roger,
Thats great! I'm sure Leonberger is one thankful critter!
Dogs with ears that flap over are prone to fungus/yeast infections of the
ears but certainly any animal can be affected. You know what else is great
for that or use as a wash occasionally apple cider vinegar. Dilute one
part vinegar, 3 parts water and apply with a cotton ball. Make sure to get

PS I was talking with a friend last night who has pets and was telling her

I said Yes, hes healing great and she mumbled something about having to

CSH Clark - ong

2000-11-18 Thread Annhope1
Hi all,
In the recent thread of H. Clark info, I thought I would pass this on. I hope
not to ruffle too many feathers as the post that was written to me is rather
negative concerning HC. I know how level headed and open to different
opinions you all are, so I thought I might share this person experience.

Recently on one of my cat health lists I posted about the worming information
for cats/dogs from H. Clarks book. I use this program on my cats and was
remarking how it did not make them vomit or go off their food like some
pharm. worm meds.
A fellow posted back a one line post of I used this on my cat and it went
blind within a week. I found his statement just a little unjustified. I
wrote back asking was the cat in good health otherwise, was it on other
meds., was the program followed as more is not better and herbs can be
dangerous, etc. I also stated that all herbs or meds be researched
thoroughly and don't follow anything in blind faith. What works for one
person may not work for another or in my instance another cat. (All of my
cats are still alive and not blind after ingesting these herbs/tinctures.)
He ended up writing to me personally, apologized to me thinking he made me
feel attacked. I told him I appreciated his concern but did not feel
threatened and then he shared with me his opinion/story below. I did ask his
permission to print this and said I was on a few lists where HC name comes
up occasionally. He wanted everyone to know his experiences with H. Clark.
He is having a problem personally which he believes is caused by a parasite
thats why he sought out H. C. program. This gentleman even has a web site
that shows pictures of many types of worms in animals so that those who wish
to identify worms through a microscope can compare with his pictures. He is
a student of parasitology
I thanked him for being open and sharing his opinion.

His permission:
Yes, you may use the whole thing if you would like, as people should be
more educated about the Clark program.

His post:
As far as the core point of what Dr. Clark is all about, that is whole
other thing.
I am always on the quest for ideas, and alternative treatments that work, but
have come to realize through the years that the things which really work, or
are of general value are far and few between.
Dr. Clark helps people by belief that it will work, like a lot of other
things, and if that is enough then a good thing has happened.
Here is a note that I wrote to a friend a couple of months back.
Being a student of parasitology myself, and my friend also is one, she got
quite a chuckle out of this message:
Have you ever heard of Dr. Hulda Clark?
If you haven't, you probably would have, if I would not have told you about
it first.
I have personal experience with this woman,
and have even been down to Mexico to see her.
I have spent over a month there, checking out the health scene, and in
particular Dr. Clark.

I have concluded that dr. Clark is nothing more than a fraud and a huckster,
but her theories continue to dupe many here in the US.

She writes in her books that all cancer, and most diseases are caused by a
single parasite. - the common liver fluke of humans Fasciolopsis buskii

This parasite she claims is transmitted to cats via snails, and to humans via
cats.
Georgiis, and every other parasitology reference book I have  says this is a
parasite which infects man and pigs in ASIA only, and is not found in the USA!

Here is more from a quackwatchers website. I can verify that the prices
listed for services are true, and this is not a complete list!

Hulda Regehr Clark, 70, claims to cure cancer, AIDS, and many other serious
diseases. She describes herself as an independent research scientist with
bachelor and master's degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and a Ph.D.
degree in physiology from the University of Minnesota (1958). She also lists
a naturopathic (N.D.) degree, but the source is not identified [1]. Her
treatment is available at Century Nutrition, a clinic in Tijuana, Mexico,
where the basic fee for two weeks of treatment is $4,500 (plus 10% tax).
This figure does not include the cost of a motel room (approximately
$210/week); meals ($250/week); blood tests ($70 each); standard diagnostic
imaging tests ($40 to $400); dental x-rays (at least $206); individually
tailored supplements ($400 to $1,500 for a month supply); equipment (about
$350); tooth extractions ($80 each); and partial or full dentures ($450).
Bizarre Claims: Clark claims that all cancers and many other diseases are
caused by parasites, toxins, and pollutants and can be cured by killing the
parasites and ridding the body of environmental chemicals. Her book The Cure
for All Cancers states:

All cancers are alike. They are all caused by a parasite. A single parasite!
It is the human intestinal fluke. And if you kill this parasite, the cancer

 Hi Ya'all,
For an old codger like me who really enjoys beef , milk, and butter, Me
 thinks thuo protesteth to much.
 Ole Bob

Bob,
I like butter, eat it daily(bought from a health food store). I like meat
also, but am allergic to beef but have it on occasion. I say to you enjoy.
:)

 Hi Ole Bob,
Based on recommendations re: my wife's diabetes, we stopped all dairy
products and she has been improving ever since. Haven't given up on beef
though, just cut back on it and eat more pork and chicken and turkey. We
are omnivores! The dairy products and beef that we are talking about ARE NOT
the same products that you and I grew up with! Since Monsanto Chemical
started selling their crap to the dairy industry the products changed
... and the younger generation out there needs to know that. The cumulative
effects may be slow ... may be insidious - long term!
Robert,
I agree... beef and dairy are not what they were 40 yrs ago and its a shame.
You read so much negative information about our food today, antibiotics,
hormones, food chain farm animals being fed meat byproducts, genetically
engineered seeds...TILT! ...it gets to be too much information. I think
people just tend to ignore as we are creatures of habit/comfort.
I am thankful for my illness in some regards, it has forced me to research
all of this to regain health and prevent future problems. Its the reason I
found this list.

I eat meat and butter, don't plan on giving them up. But milk... no thank
you. Not just because I was weaned along time ago and milk has no nutritional
benefits for humans, causes mucous to form in nasal and throat areas, milk
allergies, etc., but after watching 20/20 or 60 min. and saw a special on
dairy farms and what they strained out of the milk... no way! Not to mention
what they give the cow(hormones/antibiotics) before they milk it and what the
results of that are afterwards due to antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Fast food burgers. Yes, I do have them on a rare occasions but usually get
the chicken(questionable also) After reading somewhere, maybe this list, you
shouldn't eat fried chicken anywhere as its not in the hot oil long enough to
kill whatevers lurking on that chicken. Sorta takes the fun out of lets get
a quick lunch. Fast food beef has to be on the bottom of the barrel as far
as I'm concerned and I'm sure in the future we are going to start seeing some
health issues surrounding these places.
I personally know of a case in the N.E. states of a man who died from mad
cow disease. A long, lingering disease process which made it hard to
diagnose until the end(8 yrs I think). That info was kept in the family. A
fellow from the funeral home told these people that this was the third case
he'd seen, that was a few years ago. Tip of the iceburg?
The upside of all this is, I always have my bottle of CS handy incase any
bugs from this stuff decide to play havic with my system. :)

Hi Gillian,
Welcome... I joined some time ago for help with a serious problem with my

fungus problems I did have a cat with a nasal issue. I used a dropper
bottle of CS and dropped a few drops down each nostril... a few times a day.
I also filled their water dishes with 5 - 10 ppm CS.
It gets expensive buying it from a store, their are so many uses for CS, I
would look into making it yourself. I make my own. Theres lots of archives
to search through for info.
For the fungus: Wet a cotton ball and dab it on the spots wetting
thoroughly, a few times a day. Also give internally.

He was quit worried as his occupation is very physically challenging. He
went to a few Drs, finally one said buy a hot tub. So he did. This did
seem to help but then he found a chiropractor and he told him The pain is
coming from the scar tissue surrounding the incision area. Scar tissue is not
flexible and pulls on the other tissue surrounding it causing pain. The
Chiro. treated him with a varity of treatments plus he used the hot tub...
that was 10 yrs ago and hes still pain free.

nursing program at a college where we were raised told us as children you

No other mammal after weaning goes back for a drink... why should humans.

 Nancy,
Fact: the scalp gets less bloodflow as we get older and a very simple
remedy for thinning hair is to massage the head daily. Laying down on
couch/bed with head over the edge so bloodflow reaches that area easier and
massage vigoursly .. keeping comfort in mind. My own father has done this

There was a post on this list about 3 - 4 wks ago from someone who gave 25

things to avoid. One was Putting too much in an aquarium.
Obviously he found out the hard way. Maybe this person will come forward and

A little copper colloid in the tank may help keep the algae
 levels more stable.
Anyone keep fish at home or have knowledge of this subject?

anyone willing to try it out?
someone could get two fish tanks and try this in one and leave the other one
just the same except for this factor.
 then see what happens.

CSCS IV

2000-10-24 Thread Annhope1
Hi all,

Now that someone has mentioned intravenous injection of CS as it was once
done, why isn't being done now? I read on the list about animals have IV CS.
Why isn't this application more widely practiced... or maybe it is and no one
is talking. Wouldn't IV application be the ultimate choice for CS?
Could you use you homemade version or would it have to be from CS made for
medical purposes... and is there a difference?
thanks
Terri

But if the chunks were large enough, like powdered silver, the ionic =
effect would continue down inside your bowel until the silver was used =
up. Which would depend on your intestine's PH and any other reactivity. =
That would correlate roughly to powdered silver safely being injected IV =
in the 1920's. It will eventually dissolve in an acidic environment.
 fair enough?

CSRe: liver

2000-10-07 Thread Annhope1
JOH,
Thanks for your reply. Due to the liver problem years ago, I got healthy.
Don't use sugar, arificial sweetners, haven't had alcohol in 15 yrs, have
shower and water filters, was hard pressed to find toothpaste without
flourides but it is out there. Do I have an occasional cookie, yes, but am
baffled as to why after 5 yrs this is back. Am very ill right now, its hard
to think. Went and had liver panel run, will get results this week. When I
had the liver problem before I took milkthisle to no avail.
I also reduced my alcohol consumption during
the same period, so there is more than one factor at work. I also slowly
moved more completely away from any kind of toxic foods, greatly reduced my
coffee, sugar, and dairy intake. It is hard to tell what was the
 predominate factor.  For sure, most artificial sweeteners are deadly;
whatever your condition it will improve if you eliminate them from your
diet. Fluorides too. Even in toothpaste. Most municipal tap water is
 not safe for living things.

I do take CS, ordered out. The person from whom I purchased it is on the list
maybe they can help with what type it is. I have purchased a small,
inexpensive generator but haven't made any yet, need a missing part for my
distiller. Think I will just go buy some distilled water for now.

Bruce Marx tells a tale of a fellow who had not worked for three months
with Hep C and was going into the hospital not expecting to come out alive.
He started swilling HVAC CS. In three weeks he went back to work.

I thought maybe starting the CS a few weeks ago could cause this reaction?
Maybe this illnes is just transitional? Could only hope.

I was a bit frustrated at the liver Dr. but he was honest. He looked at me
with shrugged shoulders and said theres nothing I can do for you. I even
addressed emotional issues looking for a cause. Am laughing as I sat with no
complaints or issues trying to address hidden causes...
Better that than the Dr. before who tested me using medieval tortures to find
an answer to MS but as we know...for now there is none. I had a few words
with him.. left the hospital on my own after loosing my eyesight to I.V. of
ACTH and then got home and couldn't move off my bed for days.

  Or
something else entirely. At least your doctor was honest, and said he did
not know. I always trust them more when they up-front admit that they are
 baffled.

Right now, 5 ppm.

What kind of CS are you taking?

I did lower my dose of CS from about an oz a day to lesser amount but didn't
think one oz of 5ppm could cause this... again, am baffled.

My general belief is that quality CS is a win-win treatment. It has
never
been demonstrated to do harm. If it is not working in the manner you
expect, it may be getting something else. If I were you, I would back off
on the CS until the Herx stops, and then begin slowly upping the dose.

I did not know there was more than the standard 3 types of Hep. but Dr said
two others, I guess new on the horizon. I looked for my tests but due to the
time, 5 yrs ago, I'm sure they are stored in the attic somewhere. I may try
to call Dr office to see if they can give that info.

Thank you.
I hope you feel better soon.
 JOH

not right but seemed puzzled. Thought maybe it was some other viral

I had added saline to CS for my cats nose but then hesitated to use it due to
someone saying don't add salt in the cooking process.

Eureka! I found it! Thanks for all the suggestions.
Get a bottle of good saline solution. Pour out half and fill to the top
with CS. Add 1-2 drops of oil of eucalyptus (try one drop at first and
increase to two drops if you like). Use as a nasal spray.

CSRe: silver-digest Digest V100 #691

2000-09-30 Thread Annhope1
Some of you might recall I had questioned the strength of my 500ppm CS. I
sent it to Bob and seeing his post below reminded me I meant to post the
results which are:

OBSERVATIONS:

CS is deep yellow in color. The colorant what ever it is, stains paper
instantly which does not happen with a CS that turns yellow is applied
to white paper

The conductivity measured 754 uS.

The T.E. is very bright.

The concentration as measured with my Hach spectrophotometer using Hach
color metric chemical test kit # 22966-00 was 105.6 ppm.

I could not test it for nitrates as the colorant interferes with the
color scale.

When I was developing a the HVAC arc method I experienced conductances
in the 700 to 1000 range, but they always had unacceptable amounts of
NO3 (in the 40 to 80 ppm range)

Ole Bob

Although his lingo is unfamiliar to me, the bottom line is the 500ppm is only
105ppm.
When I first purchased this CS many years ago, I thought 500ppm was the norm
until I started seeing 10-12ppm. Then all sorts of questions came about.
 Helen;
I have tested two samples from other sources that claimed to be 500ppm. One
was
64 ppm and the other was 104 ppm.
I have very serious doubts that you have 400 ppm colloidal silver.
As for IV EDTA chealation I have had it and it works great as a chemical roto
 rooter for the vewssel system.
 Ole Bob

Some time ago when I first found this list and had sent off my sample to be
tested I ordered some other CS. In the interim, I had eaten lunch one day and
within 45 started to get really ill (that'll teach me to eat my own cooking)
I got vertigo, severe nausea, head ache... I had food poisoning, been there,
done that. I grabbed that NOW 105ppm CS and took about 1 - 2 T. Within 10
minutes I was almost symptom free. I can't tell you how relieved I was, the
last bout with food poisoning put me in the hospital, just gads of fun.
So for the lurkers... IT WORKS!

CS kills on contact with the pathogens. They don`t get resistant, as silver

Re: CS in pet

2000-09-15 Thread Annhope1
Marsha,
This is very cool indeed as I had a bit of a problem when when of my cats had
surgery recently. She had part of an intestine removed, intussusception. The
vet was worried about infection due to that type of surgery so gave her
Baytril injections that day and the next. I went twice a day to force feed
this kitten and also brought my CS to treat her. The vet caught me attempting
to administer CS and stopped me and said I am unfamiliar with that product
and would ask you don't use it on the kitten while she is here. This was
very upsetting to me so... I took the kitten home. Vet would have liked
her there a few more days but I felt I could watch her much better. The
kitten is over a week now from surgery, CS given daily, I do believe she will
be fine. I offered to send my vet info on CS and she said sure. I forwarded
much info and her words were hmmm I do have one dog that I can't seem to
get an area healed after a tooth extraction. I just smiled.
Terri

She is now only on CS, and the
urine is normal again. I did tell the vet all about it, and he was very
interested! I promised to bring him some info about it soon.
 Cool, huh??
 Thanks,
 Marsha

CSRe: black walnut

2000-09-14 Thread Annhope1
Why would you take black walnut tincture daily? I have done a parasite
cleanse but probably not more often than once a year. Some people do them
twice a year maybe due to having an on going problem. I would think that
anything taken daily would loose its effect or become obsolete for the
problem taken. When I got on this list I was surprised that many people took
CS daily. From what I had read it was an natural antibiotic to be taken
after a problem starts or perhaps before eating or drinking something
questionable.
I followed a regime given by an old german herbalist(she wrote many books)
who said always start a parasite cleanse 5 days before a full moon and work
through until done (approx. two weeks). She said worms become more active
during a full moon. There are many differrent types of worms that react to
different herbs so no one tincture can cover them all.
Terri

I take black walnut hull tincture daily for parasite control.

CSdistilled water

2000-09-12 Thread Annhope1
Hi all,
I have pulled out of storage my water distiller to make CS. I bought it in
93' so its an older version. I see the newer ones use charcoal filters (?).
If anyone is familiar with the company: Pure Water Society, Inc.(Lincoln,
Nebraska), any thoughts? Its an: SS-4, Midi-Still, Amps 9.0, Watts 1000.
Its pure steam distillation process. Produces 1/2 gal. of distilled water in
1 1/2 hrs, or 1 gal. in 3 hrs. I know there was some discussion on the
quality of store bought distilled water for making CS. I'm sure my machine
will be a tad better, but is there anyway I can test this water for its
quality/content? Also, on the back cover of the directions is a product
called Lumen #2, cleaner and descaler which they sell. How often would one
use this? I clean my coffeepot and iron with vinegar, husband uses a product
called CLR for his coffee pot, which seem a little too industrial for my
taste.
Thanks.

is essentially cat AIDs. Only animals that have more than one stomach do you
need to be concerned with how you administer it.

Marshall,

Thanks for that info., music to my ears. I will pass that on. I think I have
a cat that has many stomachs as he eats his food then works his way around to
helping everyone else with theirs. :)

I would be wary of 500 ppm CS. PPM's that high aggregate forming big
particles
that cannot make it through the stomach wall, and end up in the intestines,
where
you normally do not want to kill the bacteria. I believe that 500 ppm CS does
have some particles left that are in the active range usually, about 5 or 10
ppm
worth would be my guess. It may be better than nothing but I would either
buy 5
to 10 ppm from a reliable mfg, or make my own.

I did order some some CS that I believe is 5ppm. The minute it arrives I
will feed only that as water. As someone inexperienced with CS, I had done a
little looking around and saw 5 - 10 ppm. When I found the 500pm I thought,
WOW, this must be powerful stuff! Now I do know that more does not mean
better, but I trusted the site I ordered from as I have been ordering other
products for years. The 500ppm is somewhat thick and very amber. I'm
getting a bottle ready this morn to send some to Bob for testing, will be
interested in the results. Bob, if your reading this, feel free to post the
results on the list.
Terri
