our Oracle team came up with a new feature at the Oracle Enterprise Manager to
be able to connect too Remedy provided Webservices.
So far so good ... issue: the out of the box feature is tailered for HelpDesk.
While it is said to be possible to connect to custom Remedy Webservices
What we are doing over here is parsing the user.log file with Access.
Works nicely so far.

we are running Remedy with an MS SQL Database ... we have established a
linked server connection to an Oracle DB.
This connection is running fine, and I am able to select and insert
entries using the Query Analyzer.
However, when trying the same with Direct SQL from a Remedy
You have to increase the Heap Space.
There was a topic just some days ago with suggested values and
description (dont recall them as of now).

automatically appears at run time on all types of character field menus
(character, file, search, SQL, and data dictionary).
So this 'feature' was added in a dot release...
