Both of these birds were seen today. The King Eider was seen from Queen's Royal
Park flying around and sitting on the water. The Razorbill was seen from Fort
Mississauga but was diving frequently and under water for long periods so took
some patience to see.

Hello Ontbirds,
Well yesterday felt much more like mid-July than the third week of September.
Therefore the number of species was similar to what one would expect for a hot
summer day. While there were good pockets of migrating passerines, including
large numbers of Northern Parula, 17 in fact.
Nancy and I are looking at 12 Upland Sandpipers on a sod farm at the south west
corner of the 10th Side Rd. and the 12th Line. They are being seen south of
th12 Line about 500 meters west of the 10th Side Rd.
This location is south east of Alliston south of highway 89.

Nancy and I saw the bird briefly Bout 10 minutes ago. It was north of the boat
launch where it was found by Kiah Jasper and Alfred Raab yesterday. It flew in
from the north and landed very close to shore. I took a few pictures and while
posting it disappeared. Trying to relocate it now.
