Double check you have set up portfast on the interfaces. XP may be trying
to do the all the domain login faster then the switch is willing/able to
start forwarding packets while doing STP. It will forward the packets
almost immediately with portfast on.

yer right...for a fractional T1 you only need to tweak with the
