You won't get a bill: there won't be any ISDN layer 3 call: only your ISDN

Is there a way to know/test/monitor that ISDN backup is always ready to be
used when the primary link is down..? I sometimes frusrated that the ISDN
won't kick up when the primary link is down, and then only the ISP claim the
ISDN link got problem...
thanks

If i do a show controllers bri 0 , how do I know if there is a cable
connected to the port ? What do I have to look at to determine this ? I know
that if you do it for serial interfaces you can see if the clocks have been
detected.
Any ideas
Thanks

there are two domains - OSPF and EIGRP
The two domains can only communicate via ISDN
OSPF---R1---ISDN--R2EIGRP
R1 is where redistribution takes place. The ISDN link is in the
EIGRP
for EIGRP, but I
could be wrong. If there was that would be the answer. Hope I haven't

I'm sure this a pretty straight forward but as this ISDN
connection relates to the lab requirements as a complete scenario should
dictate how the requirements are interpreted.
It seems strange that the ISDN link should stay up indefinitely.
Another question here would be what

Yes the ISDN link is practically permantently up. Depending on the flow of
hellos, it may drop for an instant, but it pops right back up.
In answer to someone else's point, no, snapshot routing is not an option
with either ospf or eigrp. I am assuming that it is possible for bgp
