When I put a gps on my Catalina and o day I simply put transducer lorance fish
finder in toilet plug wax making sure no air bubbles and I got good depth
readings

Well my broker informed me the GST was my responsibility. He did the
registration paperwork but did not do the tax. He suggested that many never

IMO, 5200 doesn't belong anywhere near a thru-hull. If mine had been put in
with 5200 I doubt I would have been able to get them out to replace the
backing plates. And since (as I have said) they were in poor condition they
had to come out. As it was with a Groco step wrench and a bit of heat

I think finding bronze NPS (straight) threaded ball valves is a difficult task.
For example, every single valve sold by Defender is NPT (taper).

If one is spending $108 US to monitor voltage-only on 2-banks, it really isn’t
too far a leap to spend a bit more to add in current monitoring ... I haven’t
used them but the Microlog DMM-3 with a shunt would run about $130 (US) or so.
Even the Blue Seas 8248 is $210 with the shunt.
