lly choose kmix. In kmix green is ok, red is muted.
There is an issue with i810_audio (I guess, in some cards), that the
main volume control is not the main, but it is controlled by the pcm2
part.
PS: I suggest you check your cd-roms audio cable, it may not be
attached.

It should work, I believe, hoping that you can disable your onboard
vga. If not, and if nvidia drivers uses your onboard as default, you
will be able to fix it by adding a line "PCI 2:0:0" or something like
that to your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and you will force
delete it.
How can I fix this ?
I dont want to delete hdc7, as I have further data in hdc7+

Then I play with the output plugins of xmms (not effect plugins),
things like changing the driver, output frequency from 44100 to

files and untar them again, or at least do a make clean, to make it

Wine is an API emulator, it just makes windows "programs" run under
linux. A sound file is not a program to be executed. All you need is
a program that can "understand" the sound file you are talking about.

I had such problems with a few sound chipsets. The one to blame was
the kde arts, sound deamon. Just disable it and restart kde.
( Sometimes it used to crash the whole system, sometimes it was
saying it overflooded the cpu, somethign like that)

there is also Load "dbe" in that section, you better check that too.
Of course you need to restart your X windows.
I assume you installed things needed for glx, (things like
y write very good drivers too. With every driver
version you get more fps. They may be keen on not releasing this to
public. This may cause them a lot of loss in the market.
As long as nvidia gives me what I want in linux, I will go on using
them. Because

file of UT, adding a line with tnt2 (or something like that). Maybe
you shall check that.

Mounting my quake 3 cdrom and making a symboling link had resolved my

ln -s /mnt/cdrom/system/pak0.pak ~/baseq3/pak0.pak
was something like that. The idea is to make that file put in your
hard drive. I made a symbolic link not to loose space, thanks to ext2
