Where this gets dicey is in part-extraction, so I looked at the horn
parts that I have for these. The Brahms horn part uses whole rests with
a bold-face "1" centered over it. Same thing in the Schumann.

Generally speaking, Mac Finale and Virtual Memory are not happy campers.
I just put up two different answers about this on my plugin FAQ (1.5 and
