Ok, I have the keyboard off again, is that the processor be under the
heatsink in the lower left side of the under-keyboard area? If so, is that a
handle that goes under the padded area next to the RAM? If that is so, why
do they have to use tiny Torx screws? I can never find that bit.

I've had this TiPB for about a year now, and I'm not sure if I've
ever tried to use it on a dialup connection before. I've got
DSL/Airport at home, and high speed network and wireless at the
University, so maybe I haven't tried to use the modem before. At any
rate, I tried to use it yesterday
First post to this list.
A couple of weeks back I posted a note about this problem to
MacWizards and the only constructive reply I got was to join this
list. I'm not in a burning rush to solve this problem because I've
got a Ti PowerBook to use, but I'd like to get the old WallStreet
working,
I borrowed another OS9 installation disc from a neighbor and could not
boot using it either. It is exactly like mine (OS 9) so I suspect that
Pismo will not boot on anything less than OS9.0.2 which is what it
originally shipped with. Mine has Jaguar installed and I prefer to
simply run it on
I posted the original help here trying to determine why my Pismo
PowerBook G3/500 fails to boot using a MacOS 9.0 installation disk. I
may have found why. In a review of the Pismo dated 22 Mar 2000 by Mike
Breeden on www.xlr8yourmac.com lists the software included with the
Pismo:
MacOS 9.02
