Recently something weird has been happening to my pb ws 2. It is
running os X and whenever I turn it on it has a 0 brightness so I cant
see anything. I can fix it just by turning the brightness up but it
still is annoying... and it is still dark the next time I turn it

What powerbook model is it and what os are you using and you
ram.with a ws 2 and the latest os 10 it takes me like 6 minuts when
I am booting the 10 and classic.os 10 needs at least 256 ram to
function properly..in os 9 having an os for a while without
properly maintaining it leads

Well, it depends on your headphones! Good headphones are *very*
revealing -- even high quality MP3s can sound terrible.
If even high quality imports sound bad you might want to make sure that
the headphones are actually as good as you say..It might be them
thats making all your imports
I may be missing something but it seems that the obvious answer would
be to go into your itunes preferences and lower the importing
quality.. If you are only listening to it on headphones you
probably wont even notice the quality degradation.

hi I am looking into buying an ipod. I have a powerbook g3 wallstreet with
an oarngelink firewire cardbus card. I have read at the apple site how it
syncs with itunes but I was wondering to what degree. I have os 9.2.2. In

I had a walstreet '98 w/out the L2 cach and I found a newer 266mhz 1mb L2
cach laptop. So of course I opened them up and swiched them! It works
great and my g3 if blazin fast! but I've got a 512 in the top and a 64
in the bottem. My comp only reconises 256 of the top and 64 of the
bottem! :(
Hi I own a G3 233mhz M4753 that I bought off ebay. It's upgraded to
192mb ram and a 20gb Toshiba HD. I need a firewire port to do some video
editing.
(Don't look at me like that It works fine, as long as you don't view the
movies lol)

a disc was
inside, it opened by pulling the disc icon to the trash. This occurred a few
months ago when the mobo went bad at the same time...Called AppleCare and sent it
in. When it came back, there was an LG drive in it that is working perfectly so
far.

When and where did you get the upgrade done? I have been watching to see if
anyone that has had the upgrade has posted about it because I am considering
it for my Pismo. What are you using the system for?..Video work, wp , games
etc? I want to get into some video and wonder how the upgrade
Just a guess but the bulb may have been loosened up...I have had fluorescent
bulbs act that way and the repair was to reseat the bulb in the fixture..I am
unsure of how hard it would be to open the lid to access the bulb...
