I've got a PowerBook G3 (original Kanga) that I can't get up and running.
I've tried asking at the Apple support site, but haven't gotten much help
yet so thought I'd try here. For those of you regulars at the Apple site,
sorry for putting you through this again. Here goes:

Always have handy that saviour of DVD drives the straightened paper-
clip. Look for a tiny hole to the right of the button on your drive,
gently push the straight end into the hole, the drive will now open.
You should then be able to quit the application by force quit.

on battery, your processor speed is probably reduced (per the automatic
settings in the Energy Saver system preference). Perhaps it's reporting the

. This leads me to believe there is a loose connection.
I'd like to take the screen apart but my service manual doesn't cover it's
disassembly, only it's removal. Does anyone know of instructions, perhaps
pictures or text posted online, that might help me with the procedure?

File Synchronization and most of them cost a lot more.
My only complaint is that the icon in the dock looks a bit fuzzy :)

Anyone know if you can share more than one printer via an AirPort base
station? I was just wondering if you could hook a USB hub to the base
station and then connect two (or more) printers to it.

I have a USB Jump Drive -when I put files on it from my iBook running OS X
then take it to another computer (Mac or Windows) it has every file on there
twice one file will be myfile.doc and another will be _myfile.doc the files
with the underscore will not open.
Any ideas on this?

I am going direct from iBook to desktop through the Ethernet - yes I am
using the correct cable and yes I am in the correct ports. I did turn on
file sharing and I did configure AppleTalk - thanks

I'm having trouble getting my iBook (OS 10.2.8) to talk to my Beige G3
desktop (OS 9.2.1) I'm using the ethernet ports - when I try to turn on
Appletalk on the desktop it says check the network configuration (?)
Maybe this isn't even possible. Put me in the know!
