As was recently said by someone else (Jeff?)you do NOT need to use either an
IRQ or a memory address. The cards should be set to have PNP turned off,
define an IRQ and memory range using the 3c5x9cfg.com file found on disk 2
of the 3COM utilities floppies. Then just specify 3c509 in your modules.c

Ok, but as I mentioned, my Orinico Gold works
in an ISA PC-Card adapter w/Bering rc3. I've
never had any problems with it.

Have you tried lsmod? I have a box with two Realtek (ne2k-pci). smod output
middle column is 2, so there are two instances of the same driver. Your
lsmod has 1 or 2? If you have 2, then the problem are not the cards. I had

We did a quick speed test straight into a Win box
