I put them all in but it did not help at all. I am starting to wonder if I have
run it low on fuel. I knew I was
getting toward the bottom of that tank given the mileage on the trip
Does the W115/OM617 have the manual primer pump?
Do you feel fuel pushing through the pressure relief valve when you work the
pump?
Mitch.

White smoke from the exhaust indicates there is fuel present.
The older Dodges used an electric resistance heater at the air intake as a
starting aid.
With that knowledge, I wonder if using a heat gun at the intake would safely
help start a car such as yours.

The valves get tighter when cold, so if that was the problem I wouldn't have
expected it to start on Saturday. If your IP is sucking a bit of air but still
pumping some
There is no clear inline filter. I bought some with the intention to install
but have not done so.

Randy, would it kill you to adjust the valves? This is a fun job if you
know what you're doing.

When was the last time you put in fuel? Maybe gelled summer fuel? An
incandescent bulb in a trouble light under the
hood by the IP
Remove the hose from the air cleaner at the intake and aim a LIT
propane hand torch into the intake as you crank after glowing.
Unburned propane will explode the engine (literally blow the valve
cover and oil pan off), but a LIT torch will supply enough extra heat
to get it to fire off.

I've never seen the toasters glow. If they are, perhaps the plugs
are shorted? Do you get the 1V drop across the two terminals
of the glow plug? (Center screw, and collar.)
I am wondering now if

Good guess.
Get your wrenches out Randy. Adchust der falfes (As the old German
