I've been to the Gold and Silver Pawn shop and I thought their
prices were high. They had a Springfield trapdoor .45-70 they wanted
$1300, it was pretty nice, maybe 6 out of 10. Dad has a much nicer
one he paid $800 for from a gun dealer...
When I asked to look at it the guy gave the whole talk

I am replacing the engine mounts on my 240 D. The 1 between the oil pan and
the crossmember I am putting it back together and there seems to be a lot
of slop between the metal and rubber parts.
German hitch won't fit unless your car is euro. I had a euro 123 wagon, small
bumpers, and sourced a used euro hitch for it. Euro hitch attaches at bumper
points, US-spec cars have different bumper attach points, so euro hitch won't
fit unless you also get euro bumpers and convert your car.
I have a euro hitch for my W124 wagon... its awesome. Rated for 1900 or
2100 kg... I forget which.
I'd really like to try towing something that heavy just to see how it
behaves, but the most I've done is a few hundred pounds.

Same here, but mine is rated for 1700 kg. I use it to tow my sailboat, which

trunk. Holes are already there, it's a standard frame hitch. A
bumper hitch won't work.
Any place that makes custom hitches should be able to work one up for

Looks very similar to both my euro hitches (123 124). Short arms go inside
car, parallel to direction of travel, in or near uni-body rails for lack of a
better term.
