If you want to go cheap and PCI I suggest a S3 Virge DX/GX for
about $19 to $39 dollars depending on where you get them. I use
them with Linux all the time and they always work fine with SVGA
server. Also use S3 Virge MX in my Laptop running RH.
I am sure you can make that Sis card work
Assuming you have it installed (if not you can find an rpm from the KDE
site for "KICQ" and a link to an icq home page. Select the "applications"
link) Then just sign on as usual. It is a little buggy, and not quite the
same interface, but it works just fine.

possible if your using a Serial Mouse on COM 1 and a modem on COM 3 that there
is an IRQ conflict. I would recommend either changing Modem to a diff. IRQ
(eg: 9 or 10), or Modem to a diff COM (eg: COM 2/IRQ3).

recompiled the smp kernel using the kernel-source and kernel-headers
RPMs from the Mandrake 6.1 installation CD, and now the machine won't
boot. It hangs at "Finding module dependencies". A up 2.2.13-7mdk
kernel boots fine.
i use a older ver of licq o7d i belive it works fine in mandrake 6.1 I can put

You might also try everybuddy "with care" it has a few problem but shows promise

I'm running smp kernel 2.1.132 on a Mandrake 6.1 machine. I couldn't
compile a bootable smp 2.2.13-7mdk kernel. Anyway, I have the machine
running now with this older kernel. But now, I get the warning message
Warning: /boot/System.map has an incorrect kernel version
when I do things
