2) Run modprobe usb-storage

hardware (especially display and sound to work on linux). I have tried and
am working with a framebuffer for my display but got nothing for the sound
yet. www.sis.com do have a compiled driver for redhat 7.2 I think. But
I setup sharing my internet connection under Mandrake Control Center on
MDK 8. It installed ipchains, iptables, and iproute2? Are all these
programs used for the internet sharing or does it install some of these
for a just in case senerio? What are they all supposed to do?

Hi! I am having some problem when I try to download my VpopMail @ my Linux
server. When I start download it... the server is deny.
After that ..my linux server is blocking my Win98 Ip address .. I have no

ifconfig lo addr 127.0.0.1
and then localhost works, printing works, etc.
Let me point out that the Mandrake net config tool is very very
broken. Most of the time I try to start it, it

whether your ethernet eth0 or eth1 and lo are UP.
If not make them up by # ifconfit eth1 UP
This will also indicatethe IP of the local ethernet card and try the ping
