color depth because you don't have the ram for it.. (thats not a linux
issue, its a hardware issue.)

i installed 9.0 where 8.2 was loaded prior... under 9.0 the NIC
refuses to allow me to talk to the world (3c905c-tx) and the
mouse also has problems (generic 2-button with scroll wheel).
both work perfectly under 8.2. it appears 9.0 isn't as clean as
we'd hoped.
