As far as i understand ESRI personal geodatabases are just some pimped
access databases, so the impossibility to just load such in qgis is a
mystery to me.

last week, like i frequently do, nothing seems to work anymore.

I think this could be an easy way to start writing an own plugin, but I

Tested with attached shapefile and dbf file, however, I suspect it has
something to do with the encoding of your shapefile (how was it
created?), because while this file does not work, other shapefiles
(using for example UTF-8) work fine, including other shapefiles joined
with your dbf file.

I have a FileGDB, formerly created in ArcGis 9.2, and then transformed
to a 10-Version.
The FileGDB has a size of 1,6 MB(!), and when i select one of the
layers, which contains 150 polygons only, it takes about 2 minutes to

Hi,
I wonder if there is a way to synchronize the maps canvas with the Atlas
preview (like with the georeferencer where the bitmap gets synced with
the map canvas or vice versa)
This would be quite handy for adjusting the labelling in case I need to.
Labelling and the adjusting of it for the
/share/qgis/python/plugins/fTools/tools']

I found it the fastest way to use the geomtoWTK function in the field
calculator to export the geometry of a polygon layer to a text field
(geomToWTK($geometry)), join it to a database table (dbf), export it as
csv and then have a new layer (many database entries for one geometry,

Same symptoms here with exactly same setup.
Before installing 2.4, I uninstalled and erased all traces of QGIS from
the system, so there should not have been any leftovers from old install.
