ClamAV is open source and is really quite good. Also, F-Prot provides

The new openssl binaries appear to install a new version of ca-bundle.crt.
They happily overwrite the existing file. If you've created your own
certificate authority to self sign crts and added it to the ca-bundle.crt
file...well, it's gone. You'll need to add it again.

kernel rpm's you have installed. Once you decide which ones you want to
remove do an
"rpm -e kernel-2.4.20-19.9"
for example. That will remove kernel-2.4.20-19.9. It takes it out of
eleases. This is why they keep describing it as
a version for the enthusiast and hobbyist.
If you want reliability and stability then you'll have to pay for it. If
you want the "latest and greatest" but are willing to tolerate a few
warts then you can use the free version.

While that will do it you can save the time of processing the mail by just
including the problem name in sendmail's access database with a DROP
action. Any incoming mail to that person is immediately dropped into th
t week. It will give you more stats on your server
that any normal person would ever want to see. You should check it out.

In my /etc/exports file I just have the rw option. After that I manually
mount the nfs volume by doing:
mount -t nfs host:/home/gerry /mnt/nfs
This successfully mounts host:/home/gerry on the m
g to run more than one sendmail daemon. I've
seen similar errors when people run sendmail as a standalone daemon and
also try and call sendmail indirectly from an application like
MailScanner. I suggest you check all your mail related programs and
verify that you aren't trying to load s
pean/Middle East languages then check out EMEA. If you're from
the Asia/Pacific area then APAC might be the one.

I believe that you have sendmail authentication working correctly. Your
problem lies with the server name lookup. sendmail must be able to
resolve your server's name and it will then to a reverse lookup on the
resulting ip.

by installing DCC and Vipul's Razor. SpamAssassin will use them if
installed to refine the spam scoring.
You can go further if you wish to scan for virii but start with
SpamAssassin. It really does work well.

You should be able to use any of the command line scanners like F-Prot or
ClamAV to do the scanning.

F-Prot, Sophos, McAfee, ClamAV etc are all designed to screen for various
Win based assaults.

pulling mail from it. If you're only using a single linux box to
send/receive all your mail then I doubt using MailScanner to screen for
virus' is of any value??? All the virus' are Microsoft based.
