I was using airport with ethernet activated but not connected.
I have now chosen Automatic from the drop down Location in Network
system preferences. Previously it was on Airport.

The battery icon in the menu bar on my 3 month old MacBook Pro has a X on it
when the power cord is connected and also when running on battery power only

All the tracks that I've imported from CD's are listed and play in reverse

A couple of days ago I posted a request for help in getting Skype to run on
my G3 PowerBook 400 OS 10.4.11. Thanks to Bob and James I found out that my
laptop didn't meet the specifications for the latest version of Skype, but
I've been able to get v 2.6.0.151 to run.

My Fire wire iPod has suffered a nasty fate (was left tucked in the seat
pocket on an international flight). Can an iPod Classic be synched with
iTunes on a G3 that has OS 10.4.9 but USB 1, not USB 2? Slow I know, but
better than nothing.

Earlier today I asked if I could revert from OS 10.4.10 to OS 10.4.9,
primarily because Entourage had been become slow and at times, stalled.
Since posting I have rebuilt the database by holding down the option key
when opening Entourage.
It seems to have fixed the problem.

I can't get that to happen since installing Tiger and updating to iTunes 4.8
The select enable disc use
Since downloading iTunes 4.8 I can't use my iPod Belkin Voice Recorder to
create a voice memo that I can save to my laptop and email as a sound
attachment.
This has only happened since updating to iTunes 4.8. I could do it with
Tiger before iTunes 4.8, but can not do it now.

It's 3 months since my 78 year old father-in-law signed up with Big Pond
adsl. His connection is not up and running yet, but his dial-up subscription
with another isp has been cancelled all that time.
It's not like he lives in the sticks: he lives in Mt Pleasant.
He's about to follow my advice

Check to see if you have the autocorrect feature ticked. You'll find it
under Tools in the menu bar.
Yasu caused problems both times I used it, and so I abandoned it in favour

Yesterday I burnt a DVD using Toast 6 and an external La Cie burner. I can
play the DVD if I load it in the La Cie burner, but the computer does not
recognise the DVD if I put it in the computer's internal DVD drive (ie, no
icon appears on the desktop for the DVD).
I'm using OS 10.3.5 and have
opens in iPhoto.
I'm running OS 10.3.5, Toast Titanium 6, and iPhoto 4.

I refer to my earlier post. The DVD that I burnt was a DVD+R disc. Could
that be why it isn't recognised by my computer (OS 10.3.5)?
