There goes the idea that the CS has a negative charge in the bottle and after a while. Ion exchange and relative charges 'in vivo' or in the presence of pathogens is a whole 'nother story. The mainstream is chasing ion exchange like mad men splashing in puddles. We may just be wading in it up to our necks by sheer accident. The hydroxyl anions associated with silver ions can make a very unstable compound out of the silver. Metallic silver can be re-ionized under various conditions. The body and pathogens is a conditional soup where anything that can happen, probably does and no one thing is the limit. Silver in its varied forms and compounds could work one way, then turn around and work backwards another way, then make a right, then left turn to work yet another set of ways in a progression of reactions and interaction with an ever changing electro-chemical environment. [Chemical reactions can be stated as electronic equations and still say the same things ..not that I quite understand or completely comprehend either way of looking at it. ;-)] Very fresh CS is obviously different than CS that's only several hours old. This is easily provable. What that difference means In use By whom Used how and For what isn't so obvious. If there's one thing one could say about CS/EIS ...it's, it never stays the same under sufficiently different conditions. It's dynamic. Which also could explain why for some people used in some applications it's a fantastic miracle and for some it's ho hum. The deeper you go into the soup, the more varied the conditions, change and exchange probabilities . The less that it encounters to change it for better or worse, [ direct surface contact] the more it works predictably. Some swear by one thing and some swear at it. Your set of rules in this game may well not apply to *anyone* else without doing some creative editing and maybe even your set is constantly changing with a progression of conditions that *using* the silver sets into motion. Simply place a bottle of the tap water outside where it is very warm/hot, run a tube through a window or small opening, into another empty bottle, natural process occurs, the vapor that heat creates becomes liquid again on the inside cool bottle. I'll post the results. BTW, seems plain tap water would work all right for this purpose; you'd end up with silver salts, but for use on the skin it shouldn't matter much. In my little home experiments, tap water produces lots of sliver salts very quickly. One should never ingest these, but for a homemade deodorant, tap water would be cheaper and faster. On an automatic generator, the shutoff is pretty fast. Actually in the case of argyria, silver salts on the skin is worse than taking by mouth. Silver salts have been known to cause argyria in a matter of minutes on the skin with only one application. The reason is that when taken by mouth it would take a good bit to reach the threashold value of salts in the skin, but when applied directly it can only take a drop. Being extremely chemically active, it's not likely that many, if any, free ions exist after a few hours. What ions get stripped off in vivo and -become- ionically charged -again-..and what that does, is a subject for many guesses. It is, however, generally stable on the shelf for years if only pure water is present. In the presence of other substances, it's not very stable. Ions strip easily. Yes, I agree. IMO, Dr Christopher contributed much to American herbal medicine especially by making his formulas public and not propriety. IF the manufacture of his products benefit Dr Christopher's family that I would like to support them, otherwise Schulze (and others) often refer to Dr Christopher, and use his formulas as a bases for their own. They also make their own formulas but more often state what is in the formula. Truth in labeling should be truthful. RE: CSTravel Kit EmergencyAdding CS to Cayenne will get CS to the destination faster (in theory) That's why I would like to hear from those that use cayenne and use CS. IMO, they should be added together, but personal testimony is important. Some claims that cayenne as a nasal spray is superior. I am not sure how CS would react to alcohol or vinegar, with cayenne it should be fine, or I see no reason why a combination would be bad. If you simply have a glass of CS and some cayenne powdered and mixed what you needed when you needed would work. However, IMO, a cayenne tincture is simply more powerful. If CS was added just before that would be IMO, an added value. However, if CS was added to the tincture beforehand then that would be simpler and quicker, being ready made. Many of the disorders cayenne are noted for are inflammation in nature. Cayenne may work to just blast through working through the stagnation caused by inflammation. CS should work as an anti-inflammatory, more of the root of the problem, that which causes the inflammation. Any on know of possible bad reaction of CS with alcohol or vinegar? Ed Kasper LAc. I think they may have been referring to cross contamination. That could happen to anything that is opened and say in a water bottle, is drunk and some of the fluid runs back into the bottle after being in the mouth. Back flow. Also possible with medicine droppers. Where the eye dropper squirts the medicine out but the person is not careful and lets the pipette come in contact with some surface and brings it back into the bottle. The European shaker bottle address some of those concerns. Otherwise I would not see any problems, CS may fall out of suspension, or worse bond with some element within vinegar 0r alcohol or cayenne. Can a tech who operates a gas chromatograph qualify as an expert in medicinal herbs because he or she can tell you how the ppm of compound X in this or that herb sample that crosses the lab bench? For example in markers and standardization of extracts. Biochemical markers are required for pharmaceutical extractions of single herbs and formulas. You absolutely do not care what those compounds do pharmacologically or physiologically. They are markers, not active ingredients, by definition. You do a chemical assay and project the three dimensional peaks onto your computer screen. You need three dimensional peaks to see if the peaks are clean and without other internal peaks in the topography. You look for overall consistency in the relative amplitudes of the peaks to assure yourself that this current batch of extract has been carried out in the same manner as all of the previous batches. There is no biological assay or clinical assay involved in any of this. The company will simply identify what is the most appropriate for them, in means of production. For example hypericum (the marker associated with hypercium) in the herb St John's Wort was identified as the ingredient. The commercial interests created value by percentage of those markers. Concentrated and standardized to those markers, people in Europe who were prescribed this phyto-drug by allopathic medical doctors became sick and then tried to ban the natural herb St John's Wort as dangerous. Same as Ma Huang (ephedrine) and a host of other phyto-drugs. My answer is do what you do. mix and tincture the herbs as you outlined below. The overall effectiveness may vary season to season. Maybe need a little bit more or a little bit less, but the safety and effectiveness will be known, this knowledge can be passed on, and we can learn from our experience. just my 2 cents Ed Kasper LAc. Would like to see a chemical breakdown on peppers, if anyone has any information or links to this. I have always been a bit skeptical on most herbs because I feel they have been inadequately studied. Plus they are grown around the world in many soil types and a variety of conditions, drought, heavy rainfall, low sun, high sunlight, and you name it as to the growing conditions. Heavy rainfall will result in lower concentration of nutrients, flavors, and minerals. Low water makes greater concentrations. Poor nutrients in the soil has its effects also. You may have spoiled your peppers by attempting to dry them. Need to keep the peppers from touching each other, or anything else. Air needs to circulate to remove the moisture. Low heat (95-100F, not in direct sunlight) is preferred over high heat as the outside may dry but the inside still contain moisture and eventually get mold on the inside. Hanging peppers or threading them with string. Just the heat from a oven's pilot light (gas) is all that is needed. Plus a few days. The dried pepper should be thoroughly dried. Should be crisp and brittle. You can tincture fresh cayenne. Fresh herbs are usually tinctured at a 1:2 ratio. A little alcohol is good for you. Cayenne tincture should be made with alcohol. You can make it yourself with 80 proof vodka and cayenne or fresh (hot) peppers. The Everclear I had in stock was 180 proof ( 85 % ). I had to purchase one more bottle, $ 15.00 per fifth. All they had was 180 proof. In July a few friends picked all their excess peppers and gave them to me. I placed them in a greenhouse in metal pans for about 10 days. The idea was they would grind or chop better if dry. I chopped the complete batch. They were still too moist and sticky to grind into a powder or very small particles. I simply placed this into pint jars and covered with Everclear. The jars were about 65 to 70 % full so I covered with the Everclear. A few days later the pepper material had swollen up a bit so I made another pint jar for a total of 4. About then I read something about 50 % alcohol so I added about 2 ounces of distilled water instead of more Everclear. I also read brew times that ranged from 15 days to 60 days. More confusion. I also talked to a few people that has made the Tincture and got different data. I left the jars on the cabinet and did in fact shake them several times per day. After near 30 days, I did not detect the strength I wanted. At this time, I added 1 heaping TBS of Cayenne Powder to each jar. At a later date, about 45 days, I still did not detect the strength of the bought Tincture so I added another heaping TBS of Cayenne powder. The total time is approaching 60 days now. The strength is getting better. In the absence of an instrumentation test, I add a specific number of drops to 4 ounces of water and compare the taste and heat to the bought Tincture. The taste of the tincture I am making is not as strong in flavor as the purchased Tincture, but the heat and bite is getting close. I am thinking of straining and bottling one pint after 60 days and may leave the other 3 pints another few weeks. I still feel my alcohol per cent is a bit high even after adding a few ounces of distilled water. I may have done a few things differently if we had this thread two months ago. The cost of the Health Food Store Tincture is about $ 120.00 per gallon. The cost of the home brew Tincture is about $ 6.00 per pint, mostly the cost of Everclear. Any ideas, suggestions, or criticism are welcome. Next time, I may use all cayenne powder. It is very reasonably priced. Wayne If fresh peppers, cut them up and put in blender container, fill empty space with vodka and blend (just enough vodka to cover). Put in a jar and shake up every day for a week or so and then strain. You can do the same thing with the ground dried cayenne but you may need to use a different gage for filling with alcohol (add vodka to cover and go above the cayenne by one third of the volume for example, I mean add more vodka). Make it strong. Just don't be drinking more than a couple of droppers full at a time, or more than a shot... ;-)) One MD (David Williams) is recommending drinking one or two cups of Irish coffee at the first sign of a heart attack... Richard Schulze (I think it was) recounts a story of an herbalist throwing a pinch of cayenne in his own eye at the start of a lecture to prove that cayenne wouldn't harm the eye. It didn't. With this in mind and some experience using lesser doses of cayenne in an eyewash I decided to test the theory. I threw a large pinch of cayenne into my eye. I really wished I hadn't for about 20 minutes, it really hurt. After that the eye was perfectly fine. Half vinegar and half alcohol is used to make a tincture of lobelia. Just dug out my old copy of Curing with Cayenne by Sam Biser featuring Richard Schultze. In the book Schultze states that any hot pepper will work, the hotter the better. (p119). As a herbalist I would have to disagree on the face value, except if the intention is solely for its heat value. Schultze is considered an authority on Cayenne, and has many followers so should be highly considered. That would mean that Tabasco sauce would have significant medicinals value, readily available and cheap. Plus IMO, a pretty reputable company. only problem I could see is that its not cayenne. Thanks Julie. I make a cayenne extract with my kombucha distilled vinegar (2% acetic acid). I use 180,000 HU. It has a tendency to fall out of suspension and has to be shaken. Even with the low percentage acetic acid it doe not seem to attract mold, but long term storage may be a problem. Tabasco Sauce uses vinegar and vinegar is extremely healthy for you especially compared to alcohol. I have also made kombucha mushroom tea using cayenne and comes out really spicy. Tabasco is hotter and tastier but it is a different pepper. Lots of peppers are hotter than cayenne - some over 1,000,000 HU, so IMO, I don't think Tabasco would work. I seem to know a lot of folks who gobble down really hot peppers daily and they seem to have the same problems as the rest of people who don't eat hot peppers so cayenne must have special attributes otherwise Dr Christopher, Shultz, and others would have used even hotter peppers or simply Tabasco sauce. One thing I am leery of is the claim that cayenne scan/should be used in the eyes. I trained police for years in the use of pepper spray, as a matter of policy (and group pressure) I had to be pepper sprayed and it did knock me down with for what I thought was a long recovery time. RE: CSMorgellons. Has anybody heard of it.Will CS help ?
Maybe it is the negative charge that helps. The Bentonite Clay is more astringent and draws whatever closer to the surface and the negative charge disrupts - rather than kills. The people I've spoken to did not say that it killed them just made them surface and offered relief. I assume once surfaced they could deal with them by plucking them off. http://www.happyherbalist.com/Morgellons.htm. There is a connection of Morgellons to those found in man-made chemtrails as well. This stuff is pretty tough! Part of the reason for this may be that the CS is killing the microbes that the organism is farming for what ever purpose, but is not killing the actual nematomorph itself since it is a higher life form than a simple bacteria. Devour [mailto:mdev...@eskimo.com] Sent: Saturday, August 12, 2006 9:32 AM To: silver-list@eskimo.com Subject: CSFace to face with argyria... Dear group, In another thread David wrote: Don't assume that someone who looks grey has been taking colloidal silver. It's more likely to be caused by heart medication. I will be interested to see how prevalent use and abuse of that heart medication will become, versus the relative frequency of argyria in the next few years. The reason for my remark is a case of argyria I've encountered: I recently met a mature couple (in their late fifties or sixties, I believe) who both developed argyria over the last few years. He has classic generalized pigmentation quite reminiscent of Rosemary Jacobs, and she has less intense coloration, except for a mask-like area around her mouth and chin which is darker. What makes their case of special importance to us is the way in which they acquired their condition: In the run-up to Y2K they began making and drinking CS using the primitive three 9V batteries and salt recipe which was widely disseminated on Y2K web sites and discussion forums at that time. Unlike Stan Jones or other recent cases, they followed the instructions exactly. They didn't over-cook it or drink a glass of muddy sludge every day, but made exactly what the promoters of that recipe intended for them to make. While other factors, such as a deficiency in selenium or vitamin E or the use of caffeine, may have increased their vulnerability to argyria, the only real mistake they made was they followed those instructions and drank a glass per day for a long enough time -- and turned blue. So, as stunning as it is to confront a genuine case of argyria in the flesh, the real message is that the old pinch of salt recipe is now well *proven* to be capable of producing generalized argyria, AND there may be a lot more cases developing in the aftermath of the Y2K phenomenon, just like these folks' did. This is the reason for some of my recent comments urging us to treat every new argyria report with complete seriousness and an absolute absence of defensiveness. Although we as a group abandoned the pinch of salt idea in favor of pure silver in water at low concentrations much earlier than the rest of the alternative health community, other people are *still* promoting that primitive process to this day. As I see it our task is four-fold: * Continue our efforts to promote low concentration silver preparations made with fine silver and pure water only. * Advocate the concurrent use of low-dose selenium and vitamin E in conjunction with *any* silver preparation. * Study and further develop the already successful argyria treatment protocol to maximize safety while retaining effectiveness in reversing the condition. * Provide that information to everyone who seeks it, taking the lead in helping argyria victims treat themselves. I was able to explain to this couple what happened. Until I did, they didn't know it was the silver that turned them blue. I also mentioned the successes we've seen in reversing it, and I will do what I can to help them in the months ahead, if they are willing. So, as for David's observation, although the pharmaceutical companies have now produced a heart medicine that might turn people blue, I'm afraid the number of legitimate argyria cases which will emerge in the next few years may not leave us much to sing about. Please, tell me what you think? If you'd like to add to, correct, or endorse my thinking, send your comments along to the list. Discussion would be helpful. If you are interested in kombucha mushroom tea then I don't recommend that place - only because they recommend using apple-cider vinegar which is definitely a no-no. Apple cider is along the lines of mother-of-vinegar and is a different species of yeasts and bacteria than kombucha. These are naturally occurring yeasts ands bacteria in apples and do make an excellent health drink but it is not kombucha mushroom tea. for a full analysis of what constitutes kombucha mushroom tea see my site http://www.happyherbalist.com/analysis_of_kombucha.htm as a note many people give kombucha away just like other probiotics (kefir and tibicos) don't be afraid to ask, you may be surprised what your neighbor is doing. RE: CSProbiotic Question
Mother of Vinegar and Kombucha are Different. may look very similar. Both are extremely healthy. Mother of vinegar and kombucha have the same bacteria different yeasts. Mother of vinegar uses predominately an anaerobic (without oxygen) yeasts and kombucha yeasts are aerobic (with oxygen) yeasts, One yeasts grows by fission one by budding. Mother of vinegar takes months, kombucha 1-2 weeks. Mother of vinegar usually over 4% acetic acid with a pH 2.5, Kombucha acetic acid 2% and a pH 3.0 less leaching better tasting. Different acids and nutrients are formed. Kombucha while being acid pH 3.0 is an alkaline-forming food and will (according to Dr Barefoot) balance one's pH. You can test the results yourself using pH strips. Usually within 30-60 days. According to German researcher (Guenther Frank) alcohol over 20% [or Colloidal Silver) will kill the yeasts and bacteria yet kombucha still produces some amazing health benefits therefore the health benefits are often attributed to the acids that are produced. Helps a lot of people especially with fatigue and mobility. Ed Kasper LAc. It tastes NASTY, the nastiest tasting stuff I've ever choked down. Kelp powder is sugar and kefir is a milkshake beside this stuff. You'd better get some breakfast on top of it right away to keep from tasting it again. Never take it within two hours of milk or dairy, and you can mix it into a fruit juice smoothie, but I just prefer choking it down and getting it over with. I put it in my mouth, then swirl the juice through my mouth until it's all wet before swallowing; mercifully, the liver powder doesn't clump or get gooey. No politician is ignorant period ALL issues before Congress deal with money and politics is money. EVERYTHING in politics is scripted. Nothing said or done without a script. Even the paper and envelops are careful that when sent to a union official has the union label. Politics is the largest business in the world. Domination does not come from ignorance. Controversy fuel campaign income. Being either for or against brings in money. Therefore no politician wants to see resolution. How difficult or long does it take to pass one bill? Compare that to the ENRON bill - dealing with preventing the sale or transfer of 401Ks during the time of a companies internal audit, sounds good on paper - but fantastic for kevin levy (Eron CEO) who didn't want a run of the companies stock as employers wanted to sell off. The employees ended up losing everything as Kevin sold off his shares. THAT BILL passed within one week of introduction Oh, you must of missed that in the news ! Take for instance the town hall meetings filled with only those that are loyal. Nowadays even to get in you have to sign a loyalty oath. Debates pose no unknown questions. Answers are limited and restricted by prior agreements. Press conferences are not open. Ask the wrong questions - like Helen did regarding the Iraq war and where she was in the front row (she's been there for 40 years) she was sentenced to the back row and never got to ask another question. (till she repented). RE: CSNATIONAL HEALTH FEDERATION - CAFTA Press Release
I believe it is important to note here that she points out specifically to the few deaths caused by dietary supplement Ephedra, to continue as the rationale to protect the people . Specifically in this case ephedra was a concentrated isolated standardized form of a common herb. This phyto--Pharmacia was used and promoted in a way in which the herb by itself would never be used for. Herbalist have always cautioned in its use and was not for long term use. IN EFFECT this phyto--Pharmacia ephedra was responsible for killing and injuring people and while the simple whole herb, ephedra - got the blame. How could anyone make such a simple mistake? . Just as if one took the simple herb foxglove isolated, concentrated and standardized it into DIGITALIS it would be a drug and it as all drugs would kill people. Or where making a simple tea from the simple herb St John's Wort be as effective as the Anti-depressive drugs (and without side affects) yet when St John's Wort was concentrated isolated and standardized blamed on liver failure. YET there are no reported cases of the herb ma huang (ephedra) or the herb St John's Wort being associated with death or even injury !!! Where both Ma Huang and St John's Wort grow wild and may be made as a simple tea that offers relief quickly and affective it does take certain degree of expertise and expensive equipment to produce a concentrated, standardized isolation of a single ingredient. Then to market and promote such a product without any concerns of known reactions. ... .who would profit from such madness ... Ephedra - which was sold and marketed in Health Food Stores across the USA as a isolated, standardized concentrated extract was specifically promoted and marketed as a street drug. All those involved in this action knew it was speed. They also knew speed helped reduce the appetite (lose weight) and gave one lots of energy. It was also aimed at kids and ALL those involved in this knowingly were selling drugs. BTW, you can still LEGALLY BUY Ephedra at your local __drugstore__. Its over the counter (no prescription needed) Sudafed (and a few other brand names) Thank God, the PRESS and the Government protect the people... Ed Kasper LAc. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world's trading nations, which provide the legal ground-rules for international commerce. They are essentially contracts, binding governments to keep their trade policies within agreed limits. The availability of dietary supplements to the public is important, but it is equally important that these supplements do not put the consumer's health at stake. RE: CSsilver toxicity
It would seem to me that the actual amount of silver does not matter. Most important would be the process of producing EIS or CS. The method and materials should be suspect and examined. It would also seem logical for the man to bring in an actual sample for testing as well as his material and equipment as the fault may lie anywhere. For example it may have been very poor grade silver ... RE: CSWater Ionizers / Alkalizers
http://www.nutech2000.com.au/prod97.htm their page didn't show up and its an old link here was some of the info I saved. How to make Oxygen Rich Ionised Alkaline Water? The Water Activator In the centre of the tank, a semi-permeable membrane divides it; the membrane is sealed around the edge in order that water cannot leak between sections. Each half of the tank has a small valve or tap to permit the appropriate water (alkaline or acid) to be drawn from its section of the tank. Each half of the tank is filled with fresh clean water and then a direct electric current of low voltage is applied across the iridium plates. Depending on the conductivity of the water, after about one hour, the water in each half of the tank will be found acid on one side and alkaline on the other. The water in the side with the anode (electrical positive electrode), is the acid water, the side with the cathode (electrical negative electrode), is the alkaline water. The time span the activator needs to fully divide the water depends on the minerals in the water. Distilled water has no minerals at all and is not suitable for the production of acid and alkaline water. The same is the case with R.O water. Tank water from a plastic tank could be a problem, since there are not many minerals (only from air pollution and bird droppings) in the water. However, tank water from a concrete tank could be found to have many minerals, which is calcium due to lime leached out. Some water could need several hours to separate to the highest possible reading. Measuring the pH, during the ionisation process is the only way to find out how much time a certain water needs to be fully activated. Please note that electronic pH meters should not be used in water under current. You have to switch the unit off for a while before testing the pH level. Ed Kasper LAc. From what I read on the web, they are constructed something like a CS generator, but have a permeable membrane to keep the acid and alkaline water separated, the electrodes are typically titanium, and they cost a lot - over $500 usually. I suppose if one used silver electrodes, one could have the benefits of EIS as well as high pH water. Might this be the next advance in CS generators? Does anyone have plans for building one? Has anyone built their own, and if so, what are your results? RE: CSBody pH
Yes. Since minerals are basic ground up rock. There may be lead and especially aluminum in most everything. There is aluminum and lead in common everyday foods. And if its not listed on the label those may be in trace amounts that are not required to be listed. According to most Coral Calcium (and Calcium) labels you'll see many metals listed. What the net effect of those are, are subject to speculation. Most (if not all) intervention at this time - the purpose for taking any supplements - must be weighted for the outcome potential. I strongly argue that all intervention should be of the shortest term possible and the focus is to restore the body's natural balance where intervention (supplements, herbs, CS, etc) is not needed. There are many avenues to adjust your body's pH. Calcium.being just one. Kombucha, lemon water, alkaline water, homeopathic remedies, to name a few. Diet and lifestyle is the single most contributing factor. Generally any long term intervention - cal/mag supplements - does not treat the root disorder. They may be recommended for the immediate short term, but focus should not be taken off searching for the root cause: why are supplements necessary. That does not negate that supplements may be necessary. The same should be said about CS. Most on this list seem to be of the opinion that in __acute crisis stage__ massive doses in as direct contact as possible for as long as possible would be the prescription. Once the distress has been eliminated very small and indeed they are very very small doses are administered as preventative. Where the affliction is seen as __chronic__ then slightly higher yet far lower doses are recommended. All the while when on a maintainace dose people are watching and looking for possible side affects or possible symptoms from long term use. Cases, of course, are judged independently, but generally that is the universal approach to health. Ed Kasper LAc. If OTOH, I notice immediately, and put my concentration on the spot I have hit, (so to speak, but I mean if I really have time to notice) rub the spot, and think I'm going to have a big bruise, no bruise ever forms (or ever comes to the surface to be seen). I had used the TRC brand (which I sell SR $24.00 120 tablets for 30 day supply. I was taking 2-4 times the recommended allowance. Calcium: High Grade Marine Coral 2,000 mg, Magnesium 250 mg, Vitamin D 400 IU, Vitamin C 60 mg, MSM 250 mg, Plus 75 chelated minerals and 100% RDA of all vitamins A-Z . Thats why even at my wholesale price it still cost me a lot more than buying a bottle of 1,000 capsules of plain Calcium (at COSTCO) for $10. There is nothing wrong with either brand. Both are exactly as they state on the labels. But. Robert Barefoot (Calcium factor) states that one can take mega-doses of Coral Calcium without possibility of calcium poisoning. Which I still believe is true. But not calcium derived from shell fish or the more common calcium (carbonate - chalk) . That's when the gout struck. Stopped immediately and 3 weeks later my gout was gone. Tried (COSTCO CALCIUM) again a few months latter and bang right to the big toe. Stopped (COSTCO CALCIUM) and relief. Latter tried the TRC Coral calcium and no problems at higher doses. So that made a believer out of me. This was about 2-3 years back and Coral calcium was really popular and selling for a lot of money. About 10-$20 more than I was selling it at. Prices are very competitive now. RE: CSBody pH
According to The Calcium Factor by Robert Barefoot Coral Calcium plus Kombucha Tea balances the body's pH. I sell a lot of kombucha which is a very simply and cheap tea (pro-biotic) to make and enjoy at home. If you ask around you may find one at your neighbors and may get started for free. Just adding sugar and tea is all that's really needed. I put pictures up on my web site. http://www.happyherbalist.com/pictures.htm Kombucha is acidic, usually around 3.0. Like lemons. It is an alkaline forming food once it becomes part of the body's synergy. Some people make kombucha extract using alcohol - which kills the probiotics kombucha but leaves the acids (acetic and gluconic mostly) which they theorize is the catalyst for health. Now IMO, one could substitute CS for the alcohol. As both will kill the flora friendly kombucha, but not the acids and have a wonderful combination. Some people do this and monitor their pH via urine strips. Kombucha tea (alone without the CS) does begin to noticeable balance the pH within 30-60 days. many folks do both but at different times. live free and healthy, Ed Kasper LAc. Sol, Traditional Chinese Medicine, in fact, insists on a differential diagnosis. To achieve a correct diagnosis and prescription depends upon the uniqueness of the presentation i.e., the strength (condition) of the pathogen and the strength (condition) of the individual as just two concerns of many. TCM is certainly not one size fits all. The alkaline/acid differernation is viewed more precisely as a tendency towards yang / yin. Distilled water, is not dependable upon one individual metabolic type. rather viewed as one side in a many sided equation. The value of distilled water for me is that it is the only clearly defined variable in the equation. And water is in every equation. But you still do not know what is in the water you'll only know pH. As far as I know, municipalities do very limited testing. Its really a don't ask don't tell type thing. There are no test for pharmaceical drugs, recreation drugs, heroin or methadone. All these drugs that go into a persons body come out and go down the drain. For those that live in St Louis, MO they are downstream of Chicago!! BTW, the Chicago River is the only river in the world that flows away from a lake! (intentionally!!) Wouldn't distilled water (aciditic) become alkaline forming simply by adding a slice of lemon? The process of adding silver to distilled water creates charged water. I believe lemon in distilled water does also. Can both be viewed as an alkaline/acid differernation ? Ed Kasper L.Ac., Acupuncturist Medicinal Herbalist http://HappyHerbalist.com e...@happyherbalist.com -Original Message- No, it would be unchanged. When you start with tap water you have minerals, such as calcium, potassium and so forth, and the other ions such as chlorine, fluorine, carbonate. The ionizer separates these to produce an alkaline stream with the minerals such as calcium and potassium hydroxide, and an acid stream that contains the chlorine, fluorine, and carbon dioxide. If you start with distilled water, there is nothing to separate and send to the two streams, both would still be distilled water. RE: CSThe water debate
Distilled water is the benchmark. All other water is impure as it contains something. maybe good maybe bad. When we want the good stuff to go in - the purer the water the freer to carry more of what we want into our body. Our cells gain the advantage of having more good stuff to choose from (osmosis) and the purer the water the better opportunity to dispose debris and toxins (osmosis) On both sides of the equatation (osmosis) equals leaching and this is exactly what we want. called homeostatis. balance. if you have xyz inside the cell you can not eliminate it by having xyz in the water or with no room for the ride out. Of course if you do not eat anything or plan to add anything into your body but distilled water I reckon you'd be turning yourself inside out until you simply vanished into a puddle in the night. Why is this not simple? Distilled water does not exist INSIDE our bodies. Or maybe thats where those MD's are right. Distilled water picks up all those cheeseburgers, fries and a coke on its way and distrubutes it all along its route and that - is a bad thing! Most everyone agrees that water that is full of chemicals or pathogens would not be good for you. After that, the controversy over which purification system is best and which form of water is healthiest rages on. When I studied Dr. Carey Reams' teaching, he explained that water is a carrier in our bodies, transporting nutrients throughout the body to the places they were needed, then carrying toxins and waste products to the eliminative organs to be disposed of. To accomplish this, he said, water was best utilized when it was empty. Indeed, he said, when we drink water containing various substances (minerals, chemicals, etc.), our bodies must first distill the water before using it. This metabolic distillation operation of our bodies is part of its defense system to remove and protect itself from substances it doesn't want, as well as prepare the water for its transporting function. This is also why distilled water doesn't leech minerals from our bodies, but just the reverse, our bodies remove the inorganic minerals from the water. I found this explanation to make a lot of sense, and, along with Reams' other teachings, are an integral part of my concept of the aspects of health. Other folks certainly have differing opinions, of course, but that's what makes it all so interesting! -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. CS(Fwd) RE: CSThe water debate
Consider Saline Solution. a 1% saline solution, dissolve 1 g salt in 99 mL water. Different % can be made. Although water is not identified it is understood to be pure medically and scientifically speaking you want WATER to be 99.99% purity. That is the benchmark. That means almost universally that water is distilled which simply means as pure as pure can be. A saline solution stabilizes the body in an emergency such as blood loss. Water affects the blood volume as it does celleur contents. The affect on blood can be immediate and on celleur structure insidious. Water affects the pH systems of the body. the pH of urine, sweat, lymph, stomach, intestines, blood , different cells, are all different. To what degree of affect there is, is dependent upon the degree of purity of water in a specific encounter. What is needed for you - a specific unique individual may be different. But without a benchmark no one IMO, would be able to determine anything. The effectiveness of what goes in as well as that which comes out can only be determined when all the variables are know. CS can be determined to be effective because there is only silver and distilled water. Of course the effectiveness may be due solely to distilled water ! More than not it is probably due to the combination of the two. (or three: hydrogen oxygen, silver; as specific electrical charge (s) ) two studies that may highlight differences of water. There was, however, a significantly increased risk of infection in foot wounds irrigated with tap water. The authors conclude that tap water might be as effective in preventing bacterial infection as sterile normal saline solution for simple wounds in children. The overall wound infection rate was 2.9 percent, which is comparable with other studies. There is an assumption that tap water is free of any significant pathogenic bacterial counts. Other potential advantages of tap water irrigation include the following: (1) decreased cost, (2) ready availability, (3) reduction in biohazard risk to health care workers, and (4) decreased patient anxiety because of the absence of a syringe from the procedure. The increased risk of foot infections in the group irrigated with tap water has uncertain significance and might not persist in a larger trial. Water, is our lifeblood. RE: CSRed Yeast Rice Cholesterol
YES, it is being sold but that does not mean it is not banned or that the internet site (if American) can not be persecuted by the FDA. Specifically it is a federal violation to offer for sale __Red Yeast Rice_ with any links to any medical claim such as the university study that indicates Red Yeast Rice is as effective as any prescription drug. Under that set of circumstances the FDA will classify Red Yeast Rice as a New Drug and take legal action against that individual for selling drugs without a federal license. In all honesty, people are buying those products (capsules, etc) with the intent of lowering their cholesterol. BTW, not everything on the internet is legal. And it is not that several products are similar to. It is specially that all Red Yeast Rice. contain statin which is the identifier in all cholesterol lowering drugs. Again similar to the ban on the Chinese herb Ma Huang because it contains ephedrine. As does other herbs which may fall under the FDA ban as well. Although many pharmacies OTC drugs remain on store shelf that also contain ephedrine ! It is at the discretion of the FDA and who they choose to persecute. The problem with home users is that there is truth in what the FDA is saying. (I can't believe I'm saying that !!) It is dangerous to combine Red Yeast Rice with cholesterol lowering drugs. I would be interested in the research on cancer and inducing fevers. If possible please post the reference sites. Many Chinese herbs and formulas are being studied specifically for cancers. Xiao Chai Hu Tang for liver cancer is in FDA approved second stage clinical trials. That herbal formula is a classical harmonizing formula. One of the Traditional Chinese Medicine's treatment methods. sweating is another form of treatment to expel a pathogen. It is used in exterior conditions when a pathogen first enters the body, like in a common cold. And in late stages as the pathogen is being expelled by other factors and assists by expressing the pathogen via sweating out through the pores of the skin. There are many Chinese herbal formulas and recommendation that achieve this. The sweat produced is only a mild sweat as a heavy sweat like in a sauna or sweat lodge, is too damaging to the body (and in the case of cancer where the body is already weakened a heavy sweat would be contraindicated) Another method is the use of purgatives. This expels the pathogen out through the stool. Used when the pathogen is deeper in the body. Although not a specific Chinese herbal formula, essiac tea, follows this method in treatment of cancers. How does CS work ? most say by killing all single cell organism. This is western thinking. And the downfall is that it works and it doesn't work. It is not whether either may be proven but in our understanding of what is happening that is important. Western medicinal thinking is tunnel vision based upon the single germ theory. It is not scientifically looking for answers. It is focused on proving its single germ theory. It works and it doesn't work - but 'they will not admit that simply saying we need more research. TCM, Chinese Medicine = Pleomorphism: the concept that cells/diseases, and especially one-celled microorganisms, can change to cells/diseases of another type. For example Pleomorphism in human cells might be the morphing of skin cells to connective tissue cells, or of blood cells to bone tissue. In TCM - Wood to Fire to Earth to Metal to Water. Cold to Heat, Damp to Dryness a constant ebb and flow. My thinking would say that CS works via Pleomorphism: returning the environment to a more natural state and therefore not receptive to what western theory calls germs / diseases. http://www.whale.to/v/pleomorphism.htm http://www.whale.to/p/bird.html think outside the box. Steve, Glad it worked. FYI bleeding that is bright fresh red would not be to much of a concern. Bleeding that is darker is a concern as it indicates a higher up disorder possible indicating a serious internal disorder. Maybe why THE government is so persistent upon building more and greater frequency devices, like satellite: radios, TV, microwaves, replacing the limited earth bound power grid. Once individuals are isolated (from family, peers and social groupings) without communication they (we) may be easily programmed. My guess is for everything we know today THE government is already 25-50 years ahead of us on. Sad, reality can be so harsh. Ignorance so blissful. Ed Kasper LAc. I particular, I have read nothing about bloodroot and CS in combination or as complementary protocols. BTW I first read about bloodroot in Andrew Weil's great book. Spontaneous Healing. This is a must-have. (The subsequent book were a bit disappointing. . . ) Here is a recipe I found for a bloodroot salve. This can save lives. Kindly pass on the recipe to anyone interested. JBB This is a recipe for a black paste very similar to the cansema. But this is a preferred paste for melanoma and all suspect skin cancer like lesions. This paste also has worked well for all manner of cancers provided that they have become exposed to or close to the surface of the skin. 1/2 cup powdered Blood Root (Sanguinaria Canadensis) 1/2 cup Zinc Chloride, crystals or liquid 1/2 cup common white flour 1 1/2 cup warm water 100ml Chaparral extract or 100gm of powdered Chaparral (Larrea mexicana) Pre-mix all but the water, thoroughly, before adding to the water. Using a stainless steel double boiler. Put in water, then stir in the other ingredients. Stir in well using a wooden spoon. Cook for thirty minutes over boiling water, stirring constantly. Application is much the same as cansema. Apply a thin layer (2-3mm) of the paste over the affected area and cover for 24 hours. Then remove the covering but do not disturb the lesion at all, do not attempt to pull the cancer out at any time, it should fall out in 10 days or so. Some people with sensitive skin put vaseline around the cancer so that the paste does not irritate the skin. RE: CSUpdate on flu/cold that did not respond well to EIS
Marshall do you suspect that EIS and H2O2 will break down or not be as effective if added together and than stored for many 30 day. Ed -Original Message- From: Marshall Dudley [mailto:mdud...@king-cart.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2005 8:49 AM To: silver-list@eskimo.com Subject: CSUpdate on flu/cold that did not respond well to EIS OK, from what I can tell, the EIS was of marginal value for this bug. This is what happened: 1. I got it, ran 102 fever for 3 days, EIS did not seem to help. Took about 4 ounces of EIS with 2 or 3 drops of H2O2 added on the third night, and my fever broke about 8 to 10 hours later. Took 10 days to fully recover. 2. My daugher got it and ran a 102 fever. On the second day I suggested trying the EIS with a few drops of H2O2 added. Her fever broke about 8n to10 hours later. She is still weak, but recovering quite quickly and nicely. 3. Her husband came down with it yesterday, and was running a 101.5 fever. She gave him some EIS with H2O2 added when he got home. His fever broke later this morning (estimated to be 8 to 10 hours after taking the EIS with H2O2) while he was asleep, and he went to work today. From what I can tell the addition of H2O2 and letting sit a few minutes then drinking it seems to really superpower EIS. From my experiments it appears that adding H2O2 to EIS breaks down the larger particles and reacts with the silver ions (silver hydroxide) changing a mix a silver hydroxide and medium sized particles to silver oxide (Ag2O), and very small particles. I am still not sure if it is the silver oxide or the very small silver particles that are causing the greatly increased effectiveness, or it could be both. But I guess it really doesn't matter, thing is, this really works! Note, I believe this should be used with EIS that is not much greater than 10 ppm, since silver oxide has a solubility limit of about 13 ppm. This salad helps diarrhea problems as well as constipation, boost the immune system and gives extra b vitamins to boot :o It helps to repair the intestines by establishing good bacteria that prefers raw food and leafy greens. You first pulp the veggies (chop up some romaine lettuce so it is easier to process, some freeze it first to smash into very tiny pieced in the bag after it is frozen) some add a little water for processing) it should look like baby food when done. For sick animals make it mostly leafy greens and low starchy veggies. You can freeze this mush and then continue the rest of the procedure when you need some more fermented veggies. With the thawed mixture or the freshly made one you add some probiotics human grade (non dairy type) always sold in the fridge of pharmacy or health food store. add one capsule or digestive enzymes (like UDO's digestive blend human type, though if you read the labels you will find similar types for less money) but they should have the basics of Cellulase and Amylase.
