Zaraffa has an outlook clone, it's working only if you use mysql
database for storing mails. but I think is modable, the webapp is
written in php, so you could make it use imap

From ESXi to what? VMware Server or Xen?

Would you please explain how libvirt comes into play? I haven't heard

Care to share your kernel updates? I'm just using the stock kernel,
but with a few settings changed per the wiki. I expect that could be
improved.

TIA, Lucian.

from ESXi to qemu-kvm (there are some howto's but I used clone over

new server raid interface was not ok for vmware so I had to use the

remote manageability is not so cool like vmware but there is a new

I had some errors related to virtualisation on dmesg and some machine
lockup , but after 2.6.32 the errors where gone (opteron supermicro
server, on intel ibm and fujitsu all was ok with stock), now I'm on
vanilla 2.6.34, and maybe I'll switch to 2.6.35 (on production, fingers

have less memory used by machines, but is harder to get it compile on
centos 5.x

now I have one server clean and maybe I'll try a fedora to see the
performance of the new qemu-kvm and kernel and maybe I'll backport it to

Thanks for sharing, Lucian. I see you're on the bleeding edge.
Personally, I like lagging behind a bit sometimes.

As I think I already mentioned, I'll probably try out KVM on COS6
after it's been out for a little while.

One more question. Can you explain to us the difference between
qemu-kvm and the KVM that will be coming out with CentOS 6?

Oh, and there's just a tiny bit (so far) about KVM on the wiki
(http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/KVM). It'd be great if you
could add some content there if/when you get a chance. If you'd like
an idea of how you might organize the page, see the one on VMware. You
could do something entirely different if you like though.

Thanks again.

Having spent ~10.000 Eur on one server that I couldn't use with
virtualisation made me bee on bleeding edge (regarding to standard
centos kernel an machine locking) and most important I can afford to
have a bit of down time, usually I'm testing on weekend (when I have the
time).

Kvm is the kernel module and qemu-kvm is the qemu that can use the kvm
kernel module :) because there is qemu that is not accelerated by
those modules, libvirt in conjunction with new virt-manager can give you
new options/flexibility (I'm still waiting for timed auto startup of
virtual machines, like the one in vmware). There is a lot of information
in the changelog of those packages.

hopefully I'll have time to look into the wiki and share with others..

Lucian

I would expect ESXi performance to be better than Server out of the box.

I wonder how much better though after tuning Server and the kernel a
bit.

ESXi 3.5 is very picky about hardware Especially hard disk
controllers and RAID devices.

Speaking of raid, I'm partial to software raid-1. Do you know if ESXi
supports software raid or not?

*P.R.* It would be dependant upon the controller. So far I've found
that ESXi (especially 3.5) wants almost nothing but RAID controllers
(hardware-bound not fake). ESXi 4 is supposed to be a bit more lenient
since there is a big shift on the entry-level servers to SATA, however,
if the machine is not 64bit native, it won't install.

*P.R.* With that in mind, I don't think a software RAID-1 would work
since ESXi would have to configure it from the start. I'll have to see
what happens when I put a controller into JBOD mode.

Soft raid (not linux soft raid) is supported if there is a driver module

will complain that no backend is installed, of course there may be a
workaround like qmail fake install..

Oh thanks. :)

IMO vmysql.so is installed in %{vdir}/lib so should be:
mkdir -p %{buildroot}%{vdir}/lib
and
ln -s %{vdir}/lib/vmysql.so
%{buildroot}%{vdir}/etc/vpopmail/vpopmail.authmodule

and in section %files something like:
%attr(0755,vpopmail,vchkpw) %dir %{vdir}/lib
%attr(0751,vpopmail,vchkpw) %{vdir}/lib/*.so

You shouldn't use configure option prefix. Using this option implicate
in this version non standard vpopmail directories.

One make install line in your patch is danger. It causes installation
of files in real directories, not in buildroot directory!

I attached my patch, not all tested!

Can we perhaps come up with a better fix?

In the meantime, I'd suggest making this change, then running #
qmail-spam restart

Thanks for posting that Eric. I didn't see the announcement until
today - I actually saw your post first.
Anyway, as an FYI, updating your rules via sa-update should resolve
this (can anyone confirm?):

Subject: Apache SpamAssassin Y2K10 Rule Bug - Update Your Rules Now!
From: Daryl C. W. O'Shea spamassas...@dostech.ca

I've posted the following note on the Apache SpamAssassin website [1]
about an issue with a rule that may cause wanted email to be
classified as spam by SpamAssassin. If you're running SpamAssassin
3.2.x you are encouraged to update you rules (updates were released on
sa-update around 1900 UTC Jan 1, 2010).

/usr/bin/maildrop:_error_while_loading_shared_libraries:_libcourierauth.so.0:_cannot_open_shared_object_file:_No_such_file_or_directory/

rebuilding maildrop without courier dep and it should work.

 Hi guys,?

the smtp service in the qmailtoaster to send spam?

Heaven forbid (as my grandmother would say), no. Any mail not going to
your specified domain(s) would need to be submitted with authentication.

 If so, how to prevent
that? So far, I could think only of authenticating the users but do not
 know how to do that.

If you want to use your toaster for an outbound smtp server as well,
you'll need to find a way to load the domains/accounts/passwords from
exchange to the toaster. I think a few folks have done this. You might
search the list archives for this. I'd like to see a wiki page (at
least) about how to do this. This would be a nice piece of software to
have, syncing QMT with Exchange accounts. Anyone up for developing it?

I've got a vbscript that will retrieve all email addresses from my
Active Directory domain and create a bash script that will create
matching accounts using vpopmail tools on a toaster and configure
individual .qmail files to ensure forwarding to my Exchange server. The
accounts are all created with a generic password. Nobody logs in to
them. Nobody but our IT staff knows they exist.

I've got no idea how to retrieve passwords in AD so they could be put
 into the toaster.

Can vpopmail work with LDAP? Maybe the toaster could be configured to
 talk to AD directly?

vpopmail 5.5 (in development) will support LDAP, and I plan on
implementing this when it's available. I don't know when it might be
available with the stock QMT though.

I would like to look into the possibility of interfacing directly with
AD once vpopmail 5.5 is available. I'm sure others would be interested
in this as well. Does anyone here have access to an AD server that can
 be used for development/testing?

I could setup a virtual machine for this

Interesting.

I don't buy that using an IP address is necessarily the best
practice though. Here are my thoughts on this.

It does not matter so much these days, but it used to be best
practice for multi-domain machines that accept mail. The reason
being that when a connection is coming in the recipient server has
no idea (initially) what domain the message is destined for, so it
should answer with an IP address since this IP address *should
always* be the answer when checking a domain's MX record versus the
domain name which may not be related to the recipient domain.
For diagnosing purposes when the sending admin checks the logs and
sees the IP address for the server he can then check the MX record
and verify the IP address.
These days it's a given that a mail server is accepting mail for
multiple domains and this does not matter as much, but I have seen
it used for a lot of older email shops.

Thanks for the explanation Jake. To be honest though, I don't really
follow your logic. This has nothing to do with MX records that I've
seen in the RFCs.

BL, I agree it doesn't matter much, at least until a server refuses
mail from you because of it. I still think that the best value here
is a hostname that has a type A record matching the IP address that
is used to connect to the host. If this is the case and a receiving
server has a problem with the name, then I think the problem lies
with the receiving server.

The MX record is a side item and really means nothing. I was throwing
that in there to show some diagnostic uses.
I deliver a message to you at mail.shubes.net. Your server response
that it's [192.168.0.1] since it does not know what domain the
incoming message is for. This can sometimes give you less problems
than mailers that expect to connect to mail.shubes.net when your
server responds that it's incoming.ejs.net or something. It also can
cause less problems in the corporate world if some
brighter-than-normal person performs a telnet session and finds that
you're not only running their email, but a competitor's as well or
other similar situation.

Re: [qmailtoaster] want to implement qmailanalog

2009-10-05 Thread Lucian Cristian
I worked some time ago on this, you have to do a very hard pach (hard in
the way that you have to modify lots o strings) and only by replacing
simscan by qmail-scanner

I didn't have time to try it on simscan, I like the daily report too

qmailanalog is a collection of tools to help you analyze qmail
  http://cr.yp.to/qmail.html's activity record. It supplies
statistics to answer a wide variety of questions:

* overall: how many messages? recipients? attempts? etc.
* ddist: how soon were 50% of the messages delivered? 90%? 95%? 99%?
* rxdelay: what's the best order of recipients for mailing lists?
* recipients, rhosts: who's getting mail? bytes? messages? attempts?
* successes, failures, deferrals: why? how often? how much delay?
* senders, suids: messages? bytes? load? recipients? attempts? delay?

qmailanalog also includes several tools to focus attention on
particular senders, recipients, or messages.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Fully qualified hostname with multiple domain names

2009-10-04 Thread Lucian Cristian
Around three years ago I had some mail rejected because the greeting
contained another domain name, maybe the destination had a very strict
spam filter, and after changing it to ip the mail was accepted, I
remember testing a lot with dnsstuff and following their advices

Lucian

Eric Shubert wrote:

That'd be simple enough to do for dynamic addresses.

Still begs the question, why is this considered best practice? There
must be a reason of some sort. If it's best practice for servers with
multiple domains, why wouldn't it also be best practice for servers
with only one domain?

I'm guessing it probably has something to do specifically with sending
servers. Sending from a dynamic address doesn't work well due to RBLs.
The use of smtproutes to relay outbound messages is pretty much
required for a server on a dynamic address.

The receiving server doesn't like the host name it's seeing in

If you

what do you see after the 220? That should be your fully
qualified host name (followed by QMT identification stuff).
Change the value in /var/qmail/control/smtpgreeting to contain

your problem. I think you'll need to restart qmail after

I think the problem is that some control files have just the

it was a qtp-newmodel upgrade and the x64 was a clean install.
the x86 versions seems to lag, I'll test a bit more

I'm going to enhance qtp-newmodel to wait for 'not running' status for

the queue corruption from happening any more is anyone's guess. I

At any rate, if anyone experiences delayed deliveries after an update,
the thing to do would be to stop qmail and run the queue_repair.py tool.

It would be helpful if someone with the error would post the results
from their queue_repair.py run. I do have one such output and would
like to compare it to others. Perhaps that would provide a clue.

Check the dir_control table in vpopmail database. If in cur_users

This would be the first thing to check. If that didn't work, let us know.

Re: [qmailtoaster] qtp-newmodel for fresh install

2008-11-25 Thread Lucian Cristian

You only need to run the script that make the database

I always used the newmodel for fresh installs, but be attentive at
clamav it tends not to install correctly, maybe this version is working
ok using newmodel

Lucian

Jim Bassett wrote:
Hi. I have a new CentOS 5.2 installation. I have attempted to use
qtp-newmodel to do a fresh install of qmail toaster. There was a
recent thread on the list asking about this although it was never
resolved whether it was possible or not. I have done it. The builds
failed at numerous places due to missing dependencies, but once
everything needed was installed qtp-newmodel appears to have built and
installed qmail toaster successfully. Very cool. My one problem is
that mysql was not configured for vpopmail (no vpopmail user; no
vpopmail database) so I can't add any domains. If I try to do
/home/vpopmail/bin/vadddomain I get: Error - no authentication
database connection. Initial open. (obviously, since MySQL doesn't
have the user/database!)

Any suggestions on the best way to make the vpopmail user and database
in mysql? I have another installation I could just copy by hand, but
is there something I could just run that would make everything?

MySQL was not running when I installed via qtp-newmodel. Would
qtp-newmodel have made the database and mysql user if MySQL had been
running? If so, can I just uninstall qmailtoaster and install it again
with qtp-newmodel (and MySQL running this time?) If so, what is the
best way to do this? I can't find anything on the wiki about
uninstalling.

Thanks.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Qmail on VMWare

2008-11-13 Thread Lucian Cristian
i'm using esx free edition and is working ok (4 months), there are
multiple operating sistems on the server (quad core, 8g ram, for qmail I
have 2g ram and 2 core, ~600 users)

the great advantage is the instant backup.

I have QM under VMWare for download available at http://qmtiso.com
(including an installation ISO - links on the main qmailtoaster.org
site should be coming shortly) that is ready to go.
I have run QMT under VMWare, but for limited production use. As a
backup server, or a server that only has 20 users with low traffic it
will be okay. Get more than that and I think you can justify the
hardware expense anyway. Plus the clock skew is horrendous in VMWare,
and for email in the USA to be compliant with legal standards (big
concern for me with my clients) you need to be .01 on the time.
For the home user or just someone trying/testing things it will be
fine though.

Re: [qmailtoaster] FW: Email Senting Problems

2008-10-30 Thread Lucian Cristian
this is a quote fron the list:

rpm -Uvh qmail-toaster*.src.rpm

cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS (assuming you are using CentOS 4)

  edit qmail-toaster.spec

find 'sleep 5' (should be line 606)

  change 5 to 300 (5 seconds to 300 seconds)

  rpmbuild -bb --with cnt40 qmail-toaster.spec

When the build process pauses, make your changes. You have 5 minutes.

  edit /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/qmail-1.03/chkuser_settings.h as you wish

  something like this
  /* #define CHKUSER_RCPT_MX */

  /* #define CHKUSER_RCPT_MX */

Save your changes and wait for the 300 seconds to expire and
  watch it build.

  cd ../RPMS/i386/

  qmailctl stop

  rpm -Uvh --replacefiles --replacepkgs qmail-*.rpm

  qmailctl start

As Jake mentioned in response to one of your other messages, this
appears to be a DNS problem. I'd suggest checking - using dig, etc. -
the DNS server(s) for your toaster mail server. Firewall may also be

Re: [qmailtoaster] [simscanmk.o] Error 1 ... ???

2008-10-22 Thread Lucian Cristian

So it is working or not ?

You have:

In function 'open',
   inlined from 'make_cdb' at simscanmk.c:379:
/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to '__open_missing_mode'
declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument
needs 3 arguments

Please see about

To do this, go ahead and run the rpmbuild -- it'll error out tho...
Then go to /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/simscan-1.3.1 (I think that's still our
current version) and edit simscanmk.c
There are 2 lines that need to be changed -- both the same way. Lines
133 379 (I think). In each case, you need to add a value to the end of
the open function call.

My lines look like:
  if ( (fdout = open(CdbTmpFile, O_CREAT | O_TRUNC | O_WRONLY, 0x0644))
 0) {

Others have suggested 0x0777 or others... I prefer MINIMAL settings.
(These numbers represent the UNIX file permissions -- if you don't
understand them, consult man chmod)

Lucian

Thank you for replying.

There are other domains in the toaster. Is there some script that will

I don't know of any script for something like that. You might use pieces
of the qtp-backup and qtp-restore scripts, but otherwise manually is the
only way I know of.

Know of any websites or wiki's where it shows how to do it manually?

The /var/qmail/control/assign file should be modified. How about the
database for the login? Looks like the database domain table should also
be changed. The name of the domain folder in /home/vpopmail/domains/
should be changed. Is there anything else that should be changed?

Any other things that should be looked at?

The svn repository is accessible by anyone for reading (anonymous checkout
 works). Simply
 # svn co http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/svn my-local-repo-dir

I probably not thinking clearly yet, but I'd expect much of it to work
as-is. Exceptions would be yum- and rpm- related stuff (obviously).

I'd suggest tackling the qtp-whatami script early on, and have it create a
new variable indicating package type (deb|rpm). That variable can then be
interrogated whenever a script needs to determine which to use.

 Just a few 'early' thoughts.

I tried sometime ago to modify qtp-whatami and I think it worked ;) i'll

Lucian did port the packages over to Debian, but I do not know what the
 status is.
Erik (the current maintainer) has stated that Qmailtoaster is only supported
on CentOS at this point so unless Lucian has gotten the packages all ported
over or you want to learn programming you'll be out of luck at this point.

Look into tuning the courier imap control files. They're in

I'd certainly look at tuning first. Where's the bottleneck?

If that proves unsuccessful, you might try dovecot in place of

 I'm running dovecot (http://dovecot.org http://dovecot.org/)

1) Build an identically configured backup toaster

2) Run (Jakes?) backup script daily on the production toaster,
backing it up to the the backup toaster

Thereby allowing near instant recovery in the event of HW/sotware
failure on the production box?

In the past, for ISPs, I've used some type of shared filesystem
(usually NFS using 2 servers running DRBD and heartbeat) and then
configured 2+ Qmail systems to act as front ends using the shared
backend filesystem (most of the config files, and the mail store).
Then you have 2 servers that you can DNS-round-robin, and it's
trivial to plug more in as load increases.
Although what you're suggesting WOULD work. The biggest things is
always sharing the mysql DB, but there's several ways to do that
depending on your conditions.

Thanks for your reply, Jake.

I was thinking that perhaps the backup box's mysql could be slaved to
the primary's as one possible solution?

You don't have to run the backup script because it will be waste of time
to archive the files, just rsync your domain dir and do a mysql

The problem appears only at the system bootup , I don't have many
options to add in qmail startup script, because is only this:

env - PATH=$PATH svscan
echo $! /var/run/qmail-svscan.pid

I tried lowering and rising the default boot priority with no avail, if
I ad an entry of `qmailctl start` in rc.local it will not work either.

I'll try a default install of daemontools from debian repo.

Re: [qmailtoaster] qmail on debian

I've made a buildsource for latest ubuntu (should work with debian),
there is a dependences file too.
all packages should install fine, but qmailadmin is still broken (please
help, no connection to mysql and login is refused)

http://78.97.223.51/qmail/ (the upload is slow on this sistem )

Thanks

Lucian Cristian wrote:

I've set up this server http://78.97.223.51/qmail/

there are some packages that are not installed correctly so you will
have to manual copy files from deb package until I understand why
some files are omitted.

please assure that uid/gid 89(vpopmail), 46(clamav) are not used.
mainly I tryed to include all dependencies on package
building/installing.
for spamassassin you will have to manually install trough cpan some
packages, when building spamassassin it will show you (the package
building will work without them)

qmailadmin and some packages from control-panel ar not working right now
ezmlm is not tested

There is a problem with MakeMaker.pm v6.44 which you obtained when you
updated CPAN. The spec file for spamassassin doesn't work with this newer
version of MakeMaker. You can either:
.) start over from scratch and don't update CPAN
.) remove perl (with -nodeps option) and reinstall it (I think this should work)
.) wait for Erik Espinoza to publish the fix for the spamassassin spec file
which I sent him
.) contact me offline, and I can send you the 'fixed' spamassassin source
rpm. This is not an official toaster version however.

You can search the list archives for MakeMaker for more info about this problem.

I think that tomorrow i'll reach to build spamassassin on debian, could
you tell me if this is a generic error, on every distribution ?

..and does somebody want to test the port to deb, in a few days it will
be ready for alpha testing

Several people in the past have asked about debian packages. Of course you'd
have to port all of the toaster packages, not just spamassassin. That's a
fairly big job, even with the automation tools that are available. I don't
know of anyone running qmail-toaster on debian, but I know that some folks
have asked about it in the past.

could you tell me if this is a generic error, on every distribution ?

Every distro. The problem is with perl's MakeMaker.pm module, and the way in
which the spamassassin-toaster.spec file builds the rpm. A fix (for the spec
file) is available, and I expect will be published fairly soon.

..and does somebody want to test the port to deb, in a few days it will

Again, why? Would this not be a major undertaking, given the differences
between deb and rpm packaging? Maybe you have a few tricks up your sleeve. ;)

I know is a big thing, because I've been working for a week, am at
qmail-mrtg..

I'm doing it manually, after the spec without autogen

ran qtp-newmodel (v0.3) on centos 5.2 to install qmt and using unionfs
it give me :

chroot: cannot run command `qtp-build-rpms': No such file or directory

using normal file copy it starts compiling and I noticed that now some
services doesn't compile like it was on older version

I copied qtp-build-rpms in /sbin and /bin but is not working
sorry I didn't had time to look into is so I ask you !

No, not entirely. You'll still need to go through some of the steps. Which
ones qtp-newmodel can replace is specified here:
http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Upgrading#Aspects
(last bullet point)

That's the intention anyway. I'm not sure if anyone has actually used it for

I usually install using qtp, but you will have to resolve dependencies
and on some machines the clamav needs to be reinstalled

looking in a quick diff it seems that Eric had made some changes

I don't remember what was the old formula for coping vpopmail dir,

this version should take up-to 2G for the worst case scenario

I encountered that and I think it is harmless, but of course you
should

always back up before and upgrade. Good luck.

I should probably change that message soon. It's a general
disclaimer of
sorts. CentOS4 is probably the most often used platform. It's very
safe to

run qtp-newmodel on that OS/Ver.

Note that there might be a few stumbling blocks along the way, but rest
assured that your toaster will keep running in its present form
while the
new rpms are built. qtp-nemodel is as safe as safe can be at this
point,

especially on COS4.

try using the latest version

The tool qtp-newmodel upgrades your QMT installation. I have a
concern with the upgrade since I modified the install script for
simscan-toaster to allow for users to control their own
blacklists/whitelists and SPAM scores through MySQL and spamassasin.

Does this tool allow for me to maintain that modification?

Hi,

I'm new to the list, but I saw in the archive that just a few days ago

assist with that too.

I'm currently doing something brute that will result in debian
packages when I'm done, but I was wondering if there's a better way to
do it. So I'm asking:

Is there a source code repository with the sources before they become
.src.rpm files? I could use that more efficiently than unpacking the
.src.rpm files on the website in my quest for QmailToaster for Debian.
I'm looking for something like a SubVersioN (SVN) repository, or a
Mercurial (HG) repository that you use. That's because the source code
should already be in unpacked form in there, and if it is, I can
easily create the Debian part because, compared to RedHat's spec
files, creating Debian packages is a piece of cake.

Some packages are already in Debian: daemontools (source), ucspi-tcp
(source, Debian only, not in Ubuntu), clamav, spamassassin, and I
think we can use those as they are, but the rest of the packages have
to be created.

It is my opinion that QmailToaster is the most complete Qmail
compilation out there. Life with Qmail, QmailRocks, Schupp, they all
miss at least one part that I need (for example SMTP AUTH or, worse,
the ability to reject messages to nonexisting accounts instead of
bouncing something back after the fact). I've been using QmailToaster
on Fedora so far, but I'm a Debian fellow myself and I'd like to see
QmailToaster on Debian/Ubuntu too.

They are all the standard from QMT build. The only thing I have done beyond
the QMT build is add Webmin, Backup exec, and Splunk.

I've been playing with this for about a week now and I'm pretty confused

Re: [qmailtoaster] invalid sender address format

2007-12-18 Thread Lucian Cristian

I see it looks like it's the chkuser filter not liking the symbol in the
sender address. So, I opened the chkuser_settings.h file and found the set of
instructions for the characters allowed and added the following:

#define CHKUSER_ALLOW_RCPT_CHAR_6 ''

But what do I need to do to make this active now? Can I just restart QMT or do
I need to do something else? I see references to recompiling CHKUSER but I'm
stumped ho to do this.

Thanks,

Subject: [qmailtoaster] invalid sender address format

I have a customer trying to get announcement emails from one of his suppliers. The Emails are
being bounced back to the sender and the SMTP log on my end shows invalid sender address
format. The first part of the sender address is CHVACRApplicationEngineering-RACIWI
I'm not sure what the invalid part is. Is it the or the - or the whole length?

Anything I can do to allow these? I already added the domain to the whitelist
before I tracked it to the address itself.

Thanks,
Phil

some older example

The easy way:

 rpm -Uvh qmail-toaster*.src.rpm

cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS (assuming you are using CentOS 4)

 edit qmail-toaster.spec

find 'sleep 5' (should be line 606)

 change 5 to 300 (5 seconds to 300 seconds)

 rpmbuild -bb --with cnt40 qmail-toaster.spec

When the build process pauses, make your changes. You have 5 minutes.

 edit /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/qmail-1.03/chkuser_settings.h as you wish

Save your changes and wait for the 300 seconds to expire and
 watch it build.

 cd ../RPMS/i386/

 qmailctl stop

 rpm -Uvh --replacefiles --replacepkgs qmail-*.rpm

 qmailctl start

From where does it take the .rsfind.ro domain name? I searched the
whole hard drive and I couldn't find it. Is not in /etc is not in

seems

to work fine.

Look at /var/qmail/control/defaultdomain and me files.

in logwatch.conf there is an entry MailTo = root
try setting it like MailTo = [EMAIL PROTECTED]

This MailTo = [EMAIL PROTECTED] I already did it and it works, but we all
know that this is a workaround, not a solution because the sender is
still [EMAIL PROTECTED] I cannot imagine how many aliases or hostnames
can exist on this system. And I also have difficulties with mc's
search function, it doesn't make any difference between .rsfind.ro
and rsfind.ro , I don't know why.

After looking this problem up on Google, the only solution I found was

the problem is there is nothing on that line in qtp-newmodel

i'll try to setup a new centos 5 to test it, qtp-newmodel should work if
you have all dependencies resolved, at this moment it doesn't check for
needed dependencies

it seems that centos 4.5 counted the lines different than centos 5
you have to add a line at 514
like:

a4_5_check_deps(){
# let's check the ...
sleep 1
}

or

a4_5_check_deps(){
# let's check the ...
 echo anything
}

and save the newmodel file

I didn't encountered this error when I tested for qtp-buildsandbox,
maybe new updates to centos messed something up
