I don't think I suggested you change. Of course if it does not allow
changing the subject, . you should want to change, no questions
asked. How many have you compared it with ?

The fact that you have to click on a box to change the subject shows
that some idiot programmer was involved. That is totally unnecessary. One
click wasted.

Most mailers allow changing anything without telling it,
Hey, I want to change the subject.

Many idiot programmer exist in the world today, and some work at
Microsoft. I suffer from this nearly every day.

I run into many people that tell me they are programmers.
I ask them, Have you ever written a keyboard handler.
If they say NO, I look them in the eye, and tell them,
You just think you are a programmer. If you have not written a keyboard
handler, you are not a programmer.

You might be amazed why I did it.
I have a 10,000 line program that feeds plants. It runs 24 hours per day,
months at a time.

My cat used to walk across the keyboard and stop the program.
What a disaster ?
So, I wrote a keyboard handler that interprets every single keystroke on
the keyboard, Including Alt/F1 thru Alt/f12 and like wise

Shift/F1 thru Shift /F12 and any other combination.

Then, I fixed the cat. Unless he can hit ALT/F10, he could not stop my
program from running. I don't think he ever managed to do it.

Of course I wrote a demo program that displayed all the Scan Codes that can
be made by the keyboard. All this is a ton of fun if you are a programming
nut.

I could combine data from 5 log files, embed them into a file, and my
program would spit out a web page, and automatically put this on my
website. This way, anywhere I was working in town, I could see what my
plants were doing.

Here is the web page, not made by a human. It is in fact the output of a
program I wrote.

http://www.fugitt.com/wfipnow.htm

This is a decent looking web page, with a lot of information contained therein.

As stated in the page, this was sent to my website every 5 minutes.
The page contained real time data from sensors connected to the control
system. It has lots of ability, up to 20,000 data collection points and
can communicate on two wires up to 4000 feet and beyond.

Take a look. You may then understand why I don't have much mercy on idiot
programmers that make you click on a button to

change the subject of a message.

They should know you will want to do that and make it automatic.

Just my two bits.

Re: CSValley Fever

2007-06-26 Thread Norine Twaddell

Thanks Kathryn. Sorry about your college friend.

When you say die off reaction, I guess the term is self explanatory. Is the
reaction similar to a Herkz (sp) reaction during fasting? Which I
understand one can eliminate (maybe minimize) by doing nutritional cleansing
instead of fasting. Is it the same idea, I may be oversimplifying a bit but
is it the by-products of the dying fungus or is it the fungus moving around
to different areas that cause a die off reaction? ~Norine

- Original Message -
From: Clayton Family clay...@skypoint.com Tuesday, June 26, 2007 8:30 AM

I am a Californian, and everybody that lives in the Central Valley is
assumed to get this, usually when they are little- like chicken pox and
measles, it is survivable when small, not so much when grown. One of my
girlfriend's died of this when we were in college. I know of 2
geologists here that caught it in Utah when on a paleontology dig- they
did survive, but were in the hospital for quite a while.
Since CS is antibacterial and antifungal, it makes sense to me that it
should at the least help. Since once VF is contracted, it never really
leaves, it might be good to use CS as the only drinking water for the
short term, then keeping it up as a supplement forever. 10ppm or 5 ppm
both should work, maybe weaker is better.
I know that when I was diagnosed for a systemic fungal infection, the
drs want me to be on antifungals for years. After 18 months of
diflucan, I switched to CS and still got a bad die off reaction, had to
start with one dropperful. Now I am up to ~2T a day? I don't like die
off reactions, so I take it slow.
I would call Valley Fever as a systemic fungal infection. Some people
end up with asthma for life from it, it would be interesting if the CS
ges rid of it due to the antifungal properties.Kathryn

CSThe Poor Colon

2007-06-26 Thread sms
Ruth,

Another EXCELLENT herbal remedy is one called Triphala Internal Cleanser. It
is an Ayurvedic Compound (1000 MG). I learned about Triphala from a very
knowledgeable woman in my Lyme Group, and ever since I started taking it,
miracles began to happen in my intestines. Now I wouldn't be without it,
because it truly is one of those herbs that works wonders. By the way,
Michael Tierra is highly regarded in the healing community.
Sasha

SNIP

Triphala provided protection gainst both gastrointestinal and hemopoetic
death

Triphala, according to Dr Michael Tierra, a practicing herbalist and
author of The Wonders of Triphala: Ayurvedic Formula for Internal
Purification, is one of the safest and most strengthening of the
cleansing herb formulas; it gently promotes internal detoxification
of all conditions of stagnation and excess while improving digestion
and assimilation.

He adds: It has been shown to be an effective blood purifier that
stimulates bile secretion as it detoxifies the liver. Triphala
benefits circulation, improves digestion and regulates elimination
without causing any laxative dependency. Triphala is also taken for
all eye disorders including the treatment of conjunctivitis,
progressive myopia, early stages of glaucoma and cataracts. Triphala
can be highly effective in removing stagnation of both the liver and
intestines and is one of the greatest and most popular rejuvenators
in ayurvedic medicine; it helps to aid the body's natural
detoxification and elimination processes without weakening systems or
becoming habit forming.

No wonder, observes Dr. Tierra, in India there is a saying comparing
the importance of triphala to that of a mother. In `A Botanical
Approach to the Treatment of Cancer' Tierra claims that Triphala is a
herbal formula to maintain balanced elimination and detoxification.
He notes that Triphala is widely regarded as a purgative and
laxative but in fact it is considered a rasayana and rejuvenator. Its
special value, therefore, is both as a regulator of elimination as
well as rejuvenator of the whole body.

What is Triphala

Triphala is a combination of the dried fruits of Terminalia chebula,
Terminalia belerica, and Emblica officinalis in equal proportions.
These are popularly known in India as harad, behada and amla. Harada
and behada have a warm energy, while amla is cool. Triphala, being a
combination of all three, is therefore balanced, making it useful as
an internal cleansing, detoxifying formula for everyone including
more sensitive type individuals and vegetarians.

This formula and its individual ingredients are highly valued in
Ayurveda, being compared to a good manager of the house, aiding
digestion, nutrient absorption and body metabolism.

According to Ayurvedic practitioners, daily use of triphala promotes
normal appetite, good digestion, the increase of red blood cells and
hemoglobin, and removal of undesirable fat. Triphala is very
beneficial for creating a favorable chemical environment for the
proliferation of beneficial intestinal bacteria and an unfavorable
environment for non-beneficial intestinal bacteria. Of primary
importance is the use of triphala as a bowel regulator. It is
considered as safe as food and is not habit forming, even when taken
on a daily basis. Since triphala is a tonic, cleanser and blood
purifier, there is still one other important use for it and that is
as a strengthener of the eyes, useful for cataracts, conjunctivitis
and glaucoma. Triphala can be used as daily eyewash to strengthen
vision, counteract many eye defects and eliminate redness and
soreness.

Practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine claim that Triphala
will also eliminate what is called deficient heat in Chinese
medicine. This is a feeling of heat and burning on the chest, legs,
palms and/or soles of the feet, all representing a B-vitamin
deficiency in Western medicine. Triphala taken regularly will promote
absorption and utilization of the B vitamins and will completely
relieve the symptoms of deficient heat. SNIP

Thanks Terri. I am definitely recommending Frankincense for the tumors. I will

endemic is being demolished, and it looks like there will be none available on

Since all the medicinal grade oils have some antimicrobial properties I asked

suggest?

I know he has some Swiss Aromatics. He has a retail store near him that sells
them, I am comfortable with that brand as far as true medicinal quality goes.
Are you? They are a little more expensive than Young Living and you have to
find a retail store that sell them since they do not go through distributors,
like us. They do not have as many oils or any blends like Young Living has. I
know it has been suggested (and by health practitioners) that he use other
therapeutic grade or aromatherapy oils but he understands that you don't just
walk into a health food store and find medicinal grade oils no matter what the
label says and that it costs to you use medicinal grade oils. Do you have any
experience using oils for systemic fungal infections? I look forward to
hearing what you suggest.

CSOT - Apple Cider Vinegar Tea - OT

2007-06-26 Thread sms
I agree with you 100%, Charles. I have known about Bragg's pure Apple Cider
Vinegar (ACV) for 25 years or more. I used to use it for just about
everything internal and, as well, external - hair, skin, baths, kidney
stones, digestion, indigestion . . . . you name it. Patricia Bragg still
publishes her father's Paul Braggs little booklet on Braggs Apple Cider
Vinegar with its hundreds of uses fully described. You can pick both up at
your health food store, ACV and the booklet.

One of my all time favorite things to do with ACV is make Tea. One or two
teaspoons of ACV in 8-10 oz. of boiled pure water, with a teaspoon of good
honey. YUM! Especially after dinner, or for a treat during the day.

Would you describe this as 'heartburn', or 'indigestion'? If so, one
very simple thing that will usually solve this kind of problem is,
believe it or not, raw apple cider vinegar - say, a teaspoon or so in an
8 oz glass of water.

Most people don't know that heartburn is not a problem of too *much*
acid, it is a problem of not *enough* - demonstrated by the fact that
adding raw apple cider vinegar will cure the problem (it is good for
many other things as well).

Just be sure it is raw and organic (I like Braggs)...

All my best to you...

Once I tapped him on the head, half hard enough to kill a fly.

intention of changing it.
I don't think I suggested you change. Of course if it does not allow
changing the subject, . you should want to change, no questions
asked. How many have you compared it with ?

The fact that you have to click on a box to change the subject shows that
some idiot programmer was involved. That is totally unnecessary. One click
wasted.

This is a decent looking web page, with a lot of information contained
therein.

As stated in the page, this was sent to my website every 5 minutes.
The page contained real time data from sensors connected to the control
system. It has lots of ability, up to 20,000 data collection points and can
communicate on two wires up to 4000 feet and beyond.

Take a look. You may then understand why I don't have much mercy on idiot
programmers that make you click on a button to
change the subject of a message.

They should know you will want to do that and make it automatic.

 Just my two bits.

From my understanding of it, it is that the mold gives out much more
toxin when it is under stress, which it certainly is when you try to
kill it. This is also true in the indoor environment- if you have
structural mold, or any hidden mold, do not try to kill it, just cut it
out and remove it while trying to not disturb it. For example, any mold
on drywall should not be painted over, but the section cut out and
removed, and then replaced.
Some mold toxins are used as biological warfare agents, and that
includes those produced by stachy, which has been found in the gypsum
that drywall is made out of- it is just waiting for a good wet day to
grow. It doesn't always produces toxins, but certainly does when it is
under stress.
The same is true of several other types of fungus, including
aspergillus and candida. It may also be true of Valley Fever- it is
worth keeping in mind. Yes, it is called Herk's or herx, or
herxenheimer? etc.
I know a woman who has had to have several surgeries, and had tissues
sent to lab- every time they got stachy out of the samples. She was
infected badly, and still suffers.
Things people do to keep the die off under control are enemas,
activated charcoal - just check out the candida pages on the web for
many helpful ideas. I don't know how well this applies to dogs, though.

Get out of that Tomato Patch, and check in.

The tomatoes have no work to do other than picking.
I have been picking and patrolling the cantaloupes.
I have in excess of 300 starting to get ripe.

The big problem is deciding on who to give them to.
I have two kinds of Honeydew and 5 other varieties.
They all have identifying markers but I can tell most apart by looking at them.

Please tell me what you think I agree upon. grin

Maybe you mean, Changing the Subject line. It appears you changed it.

GREAT !

2007-06-26 Thread ruth strackbein
Hi , Sasha, I have used probiotics in the recent past. Lately have been
involved with this routine the surgeon gave me to see if we can get my bowel
to work properly without the surgery. I have very little confidence in his
scheme, but if surgery becomes necessary he will probably be the one to do
it. Have gone to a clinic that deals only with gastroenterology. Saw a
gastroenterologist there, After examining all my volume of records, he said
emphatically that surgery is necessary. He referred me to this surgeon who
does not think it is necessary. He is willing to work with me to develop a
technique to accomplish this. Trouble is he wants me to use fiber medicine
like Citrucel. I had used that years ago without success, but tried it out.
It burns going down, not good. Is full of sugar and flavorings which I
have avoided like the plague for 3 years. I guess I am not convinced either
way about the surgery. I know I have to get back on a better track somehow.

2007-06-26 Thread Charles Marcus
The fact that you have to click on a box to change the subject
shows that some idiot programmer was involved. That is totally
unnecessary. One click wasted.

Not really... in general, the subject should only rarely have to be
changed. About the only time I do is when replying to list digests.

One thing that really bugs me is idiots that hijack threads by replying
to a message, changing the subject to something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT,
which then looks ugly on any sane threaded mail client.

Most mailers allow changing anything without telling it,
Hey, I want to change the subject.

Yes - and most mailers also promote top-posting - so does that mean that
top-posting is *good*? I see you are a bottom-poster, so good for you,
but you will never change the world, and the vast majority of people
top-post and:

1. don't know they are doing it

2. don't care if/when you try to explain it to them

3. have no plans to change because some people (like me) don't like it

So, I disagree that having to click a button to do something that you
rarely should be doing anyway is a bad thing.

CSRe: Food Combining

2007-06-26 Thread Charles Marcus

Morning Charles,

And a very good morning - er - afternoon to you, Wayne,

Thanks for the tips and ideas on proper food combining.

You should not mix them with any cooked foods, *especially* meat or
potatoes.

Also - melons - the rule is 'eat them alone or LEAVE them alone'.

Most people don't understand this very well, me included.
And of course they don't practice anything along these lines.

I know - I know the rules, and still find myself violating them on occasion.

Proper Food Combining rules are general in nature. Many people are
capable of violating them to varying degrees with little to no real
discomfort for varying lengths of time (years, even decades), unaware of
the stress they are putting on their digestive system.

Any more information or rules, outlines you can provide would be
appreciated.

The bottom line is, the higher the water content of the fruit or
vegetable, the further along the line of 'eat it alone' it falls. This
is why melons are at the extreme - they are almost 100% water - which is
also why they require no time in the stomach.

The problem rears its ugly head when you eat something that *does*
require digestion in the stomach, and something that *doesn't*. The
pyloric valve will close, causing the fruit (or whatever) to just sit
there for hours fermenting, when it would have simply passed straight
through. This can cause gas - and even sometimes far worse problems -
for many people.

I often wonder about eating a salad before meals or with a meal.

Surprisingly, according to some, meats should be eaten *first* - so, a
salad, which is usually served *first*, should in reality come *last* -
the exception to this, of course, is a *fruit* salad... ;)

I know that when I eat a sald *after* the main course, I feel better
than if I eat it *before*.

The primary rule is, don't mix (or at least minimize mixing) foods that
require acid for digestion (ie, meats) and foods that require an
alkaline medium (starches).

A good link (I don't agree with everything this guy writes, but this is
a decent general intro to the idea):

http://chetday.com/fcnecess.html

There are, of course, some people that can eat just about anything their
entire lives, live to 105, and be the picture of health up to the day
they die. They are the exception, however, not the rule.

CSRe: homozon

2007-06-26 Thread Charles Marcus
So... You are saying that you will get a free radicals from ozonation
and you have to follow up with antioxidants. OK.

No - please do not put words in my mouth.

oxidant != 'free radical'

And that term 'free radical' is mostly a made up term.

You do *not* need to clean up any free radicals after doing ozone - but,
the ozone *will* oxidize a lot of crap that the body will have to expel
somehow - and the bentonite/charcoal slurry is the most effective way to
do this.

What if you are taking nutritive antioxidant food supplements while
you are using homozone, is that not enough?

There is no 'e' at the end of the word 'homozon' (the main reason I
point this out is because there is another product that goes/went by the
name 'homozonE' that was *not* 'homozon', the original Blass Therapy).

You do *not* want to take anti-oxidants while taking ozone. You either
need to take them about 8 hours BEFORE, or an hour AFTER (ozone takes an
hour or so to break down completely, but the anti-oxidants can hang
around much longer). Understand, it won't *hurt* anything if you mix
them, its just that the anti-oxidants will lessen or cancel the effects
of the ozone.

I have never heard of Clay/Bentonite slurries

Oops... typo - I meant clay/charcoal slurries - these consist of
bentonite clay and activated charcoal - two of the main ingredients in
Dr Schulze's #2 bowel formula.

but if they remove heavy metals and chemicals and have not side
effects I am all ears. Please do tell. ~Norine

Google is your friend... www.eytonsearth.com is a great resource for
everything you want to learn about the healing power of clays, and just
google on 'activated charcoal' for all you need to know about that. As
long as it is pure and ok for internal use, pretty much any source will do.

CSRe: Going Bananas and drinking enough water

2007-06-26 Thread Charles Marcus

*against* the *theory* of '8 glasses a day'.

Yeah, there is a lot of room for arguement against anything that is
odd to our pattern of thinking.

True enough - google on '8 glasses of water a day myth' and read for a
few days to see that there is most definitely room for argument about
this as a *general* rule. Certainly there are situations where it may be
warranted (everyone is different, and some people live in much harsher
climates than others), but to spout this as a *general* rule is absurd.

Also - maybe you missed that Ruth said she was drinking TEN TO TWELVE,
FOURTEEN OUNCE glasses a day - this is more than TWICE the '8 glasses a
day' rule.

I say again - Ruth, if you are listening - STOP DRINKING SO MUCH WATER.

RE: CSThe Poor Colon and Pro-Biotics

2007-06-26 Thread ruth strackbein
Hi, Sasha, I do see a nutrition oriented chiropractor every other week. The
other practioners are usually too costly for me. I am retired. Have an
adequate income for ordinary expenses, but nothing fancy. I thought long
and hard about trying internet at home. Otherwise I used the library.
Still go up there sometimes and do my e-mail to save on electricity at home
and use their arconditioning in the heat of the day. But can onlyuse a
computer there for 1 hour. I am saving much pertinent information either by
printing or by putting in folders on my computer for future reference. I
have mentioned before maybe in response to someone else's message, that I
have to pick and choose which inteventions to try out. I simply cannot
invest in many alternative health supplements, too often they don't work
and I end up with a bathroom cupboard full of bottles. I borrow many books
from my chiropractor about healthy diet and diet for specific problems, etc.
He also has DVD's. He carries a few things like Bentonite Clay and
Psyllium which I took for about 4 months. The psyllium came in two kinds,
one with a soy additive and one with a whey additive. Both of these reacted
against the burning pain under my right ribcage. I am becoming more and
more convinced that this pain is caused by too much pushing to pass stool
and collections of gas in my large intestine that gets caught in the nooks
and crannies of my colon On a day when I have expelled alot of gas, I seem
to have some relief at least for awhile. I do use an antigas medication.
I am considering some of the exercise ideas and other things that involve
little expense. The chiropractor is inclined to work mainly with nutrition.
Does also carry a probiotic which I have used, but without success so far.
So I am trying to fight this within my means.
I am not sure if you have come across any of the accounts I have posted
concerning the condition of my colon that has led the Drs. to recommend
surgery. It is very much longer than those of most people. It is also
floppy and tends to clamp up. Transit time mouth to rectum is 7-8 days. 10
years ago was 5 days by x-ray. It is coming up supper time, better quit. I'm
sorry if I have repeated stuff I already told you or you read in another
post. Thanks, Ruth I need all the encouragement I can get at this time and
I am very grateful for all the ideas I have received.

CSEffect of Heating CS?

2007-06-26 Thread Durham
What happens to CS if it's heated to, say, 200 degrees or so--
something that would steep tea? And how about prolonged boiling?
Would either or both of these significantly alter the structure,
or...? Thank you.

RE: CSRe: Going Bananas and drinking enough water

2007-06-26 Thread Garry Hobart
A better rule of thumb is take your body weight, divide by 2
and this is the number of ounces of water needed per day.
This comes out to one half ounce of water per pound
per day. Note that this may exceed 8 cups a day for some.

A half ounce per pound seems a reasonable amount to me to
keep the body both hydrated and flushed.

It is hard to apply any rule unless the environmental conditions are know.

My grandson carries a 3 gallon back pack and drinks the 3 gallons in one
day. Of course he is carrying another 65 pound pack and marches 25 miles
per day. Awesome. He takes 3 pair of socks.

100 miles in 4 days. Blisters on the feet, he just keeps walking.

Not many need that much water of course.

I have worked in places so hot that people with metal frame glasses had to
take them off.

The electrical boxes were so hot, we could not hold them in our hand.

I suppose you meant normal activity.

The amount and type food eaten has a bearing also. More protein requires
more water.

The hardest thing to understand is that if one does not drink enough water,
he never experiences the thirst sensation.

Supposedly thirst and hunger produces the same signals.
Many eat when they should drink.

Some drink fast and others sip. No wonder we are confused.

Hi , Leslie, The burning pain starts in a sore place under my right center
ribcage which would be over the gallbladder-liver area., one corner of the
stomach may be there, too, have to look at a picture again. I have a
feeling that it is the small area of irritation that the doc sees when he
does a scope. I do have a small hiatal hernia, I am told, but not sure where
that is located. He has told me that it isn't severe enough to require
antacids regularly, just as needed. Prilosec or anyof the other antacids
don't work. I don't have a gall bladder any more. Just had a cat scan.
Liver seems to be normal as well as other upper ab organs. Have to ask if
the cat scan shows such things as the hernia, or if the spot of irritation
shows up with it. I can't quite picture how a cat scan works. They've said
it takes pictures of one's organs kind of in slices, very fine ones. Ruth

help...you will need to stay close to the stool and don't let any toots

you'll darken your drawers...the extra oxygen will help the good bacteria
to grow and if you keep taking it, all that good high energy oxygen will
be

absorbed from your colon and into your organs to help clean them up

CSLyme and Amy Tan

2007-06-26 Thread Jonathan B. Britten
Some list members have reported recovery from Lyme disease after using
EIS. These members and others may be interested in Amy Tan's
remarkably well-written account of her own undiagnosed Lyme suffering.

She finally got a correct diagnosis and continues to receive antibiotic
therapy. Her account of the symptoms is powerful, and makes clear
that the disorder is a nightmare.

The last chapter of her autobiographical A Writing Life has the
details. It would be interesting if someone were to contact Amy Tan
and tell her about the Beck Protocol; it might help her.

Agreed on many points -
Since I do not live in such a harsh climate anymore
my new rule is:
every time I go to the bathroom (to pe)
I drink a little bit (a quart to a half cup) of water.
In this way I can never have a shortage.

I think too much is better than too little. I drink water constantly,
all day long. I am never without a bottle or a glass of water.

This don't mean I drink an excessive amount.

What am I missing about the bananas and water?
I have eaten bananas for years, and drank water also.

Never realized that bananas had a water association.

Later I will have to tell the story about a military dress parade and
people passing out, by not drinking water.

CSWater, RO is not Distilled

RO water is not distilled water. Doing a simple taste test, the taste
is similar but the EC and a few minerals are much different.

Now, I was wondering if I could use the pure water from a reverse
osmosis system instead of distilled?

I don't think that will be acceptable. Some of the technical people on
the list will explain it better I feel sure.

Also, thinking of later when we might not have electricity!

RO units require water pressure. This may be from city pressure or
your local pump. If so, you will still need electricity to power the pumps.

RO and distillers both serve a purpose, but RO will never be as pure as
distilled water.Using RO water for the distiller might be a good idea
if the water is of poor quality to start with.

You may have to keep studying water filters and distillers a bit.

  Electrical Conductivity.

The readings of this can indicate unwanted materials in a solution or in
many cases, the desired materials in the solution.

In a nutrient solution, it will read the total of all items added, but the
original impurities in the water.

You can buy an EC meter and start measuring this value of your distilled
water to get a good idea of the quality.

Here is a link that does not relate to making CS but still interesting and
explains it all a bit.

Re: CSWater, RO is not Distilled

2007-06-26 Thread Rowena
When I bought my CS generator the old man I got it off, Peter Brooks in
South Perth, Australia, gave us a demo on various aspects of CS making and
also tested a variety of water I brought in; one from the local (very good)
country water supply, one from my RO unit, and also a sample of distilled
water. He tested it with a TDS meter (total dissolved solids). I came
across the results the other day, but can't just remember where I put them.
Anyway, the results were that the RO water was not ideal by a long shot.

(I found it: PPMDS - parts per million dissolved solids, I suppose - Reverse
Osmosis 122, Collie Harris River Dam water: 234)

If you had nothing else at all in an emergency, and used RO water anyway, it
would probably get you through the night, but don't buy an RO unit
specifically for your CS making. Get the RO for your drinking water. Some
complain that it takes out all the minerals, but hey, you can put those back
in, but you don't want the fluoride and other chemicals and germs and
possibly other nasties in your water, do you?

I currently use a Purani RO system and run the waste water into the garden
into a clay dish, from where it spills over into the garden soil.

One thing I have found over the past - oo, must be fifteen or more years
now - is that using RO water is extremely kind on kettles. They stay new
looking for years. And years.
