  For self-treatment and relief
there is an easy to find spot, right under the ankle bone, in the middle of
the side where the hurt is.
Applying a little bit of pressure there, while searching the spot, you will
find it almost directly.
Now: apply the pressure NOT GOING OVER the pain-barrier.
Use the three seconds method: press in little clockwise circles for a while,
then release, and press again.
So do three times. You can repeat this a few times a day.
It does not matter what the cause of the trouble is: You will find relief.

Re: CSSore Knee update ( Sunlight and Work )

2006-09-08 Thread Pat

When husband and I were walking our usual mile on the
neighborhood streets I heard a pop and had pain. I
thought I'd wait to go to the orthopaedic surgeon and
hope to heal. I went 3 months later and found that
the meniscus had torn and then the rough area was sort
of chewing up the cartilage on the bone end. It would
have been much better to go early. The surgeon said
it's just old age...parts wear out (guess I was about
48 at the time). He said squatting is bad for the
knee. Knee felt better after surgery to remove 20% of
the meniscus but now the cartilage is mostly gone from
the medial knee joint.

I've spent lots of time in the sun without sunscreen
because it bothers my eyes and breaks my face out.
The newer ones are better. I mow and prune, do mulch
and plant flowers, plus used to walk for
exercise.(Seldom have been out in the sun without a
shirt hehehe, but it's usually a sleeveless one with
shorts) My bone scan a couple years ago showed a tiny
bit of loss (hip bone), but barely.

You'd need to buy a really *good* one, but a rebounder is probably one
of the best exercise options you have with your current issues.

For one example, the Reboundair quarter fold costs about $300. It's
guaranteed for users up to 400 pounds. Buy the stabilizer bar with it
and you'll have something to hang onto while you get your sea legs.

   See: http://www.ultimate-rebound.com/

You're exactly right. Anything of lesser quality will be destroyed in
short order. Stuff from Wal-Mart or similar sources won't hold up.

All you need to do is stand on it and bounce gently up and down. Your
feet never need to leave the mat. A few minutes at a time, a few times
a day to begin with. As you gain stamina and confidence you'll find
yourself doing more. It's easy to do while watching TV. It's fun.

Your lymphatic circulation will be helped immensely. It should also
help your joints in the long run.

Not cheap, but a good value. Might not be possible for you, budget-
wise, but I'm confident it would help you.

Good luck, ma'am!

Hello Marshalee!
I have had two joint replacements and I use a 50%/50% mixture of cayenne
tincture and DMSO I put in a roll-on bottle. I do get some stinging from
the cayenne but the relief is greater. Too much heat? lemon juice will
remove it, but take care on where you put in on and how much will run
down. If you need to adjust the mix 30/70% DMSO is great to start out
with.
I make my own tincture from 130,000 HU cayenne pepper powder (I buy bulk

scarce and costly.

Re: CSSore Knee

2006-09-03 Thread Brickeyk
I found that walking or running in my swimming pool seems to help. Jumping up
and down in the water makes acid reflux worse. The pressure of the water
pushes my stomach up the wrong way. With acid reflux I need to get the stomach
down, a rebounder is a better choice. I was told in the 1960's that my knee
cartilage was nearly gone and I would have bone against bone, DR said in 10
years I
would need both knee joints replaced. I was babying using the knees so I said
if I am losing them I might as well use them. I used a stationary bike then
started to jog 3 miles per day fast enough to get 30 Cooper points per week.
Knees seemed to get better by jogging. I broke both big toes ridding my 3
wheeler. That was the end of jogging. I just ordered a Needak rebounder from
ebay,
$176 + $35 shipping with 5 free gifts.

I tried CMO and my bad knee seemed to improve on only the second day.
Planting christmas trees I could only get back up with one knee, the other was
so
bad. My good knee started to hurt. That would be the end of tree planting with
two bad knees.CMO fixed my bad knee so I can now get back up using it, my other
knee was helped about 60%. I know can stand up using either knee.

I am now going fishing for bullfrogs for my pond. Tadpoles should be big
enough to catch in my crawfish trap We had real warm weather where the frogs
laid
their eggs then a cold spell came and very few eggs hatched. I had 5 sets of
eggs in my pond and I don't think any hatched. My KOI eat the tadpoles.

I make a water type drink with 1/3 CS, T lemon juice per cup, two or three
sprinkles of cayenne per cup the rest 2/3 of water. I try to drink 8 cups of
this per day. I was using Gatorade but was getting too much sugar. I tried
cayenne in warm water and never could get past 1/8 of a teaspoon of the 40,000
BTU
cayenne. I also add cayenne to coffee or tea. I still get a foot itch that
can't be relieved by rubbing. I found that stretching my ankle for five seconds
s
eems to help, I stetch forward , toes out and toes in. A dancer said that
exercise helped her feet.

I would advise you get to a Dr. to have that checked. It may just be a sprain,

don't know if this will work for you, but I was recently told that papaya

in my feet for over 6 years now, the only relief I got in the past was
taking the diuretics the doctors gave me. I tried the papaya tablets, and
they are working for me. I don't have to take the diuretics any more!

and as time goes by, I am feeling more and more now, can walk normally, go
up and down stairs normally...I do have feeling on the bottom of my feet, at
times now, I have feeling on the top too.

plmk if it works for you too. I am taking about 5 chewable tablets twice a

It is hard to walk, or stand for longer than 5 minutes. The feet are

Tips for improving lymph drainage;

dry skin brushing with a natural brush
massage
hot/cold hydrotherapy to increase circulation, and therefore lymph movement
rebounding on a mini trampoline
cayenne tincture to increase circulation

I used all of these methods when I had Mastitis (breast infection) a few

I think water aerobics is the best choice of exercise
for overweight people or anyone who is older and
shouldn't be stressing their joints. It's fun too.
The cost of joining the YMCA is around $50 a month,
but they have discount rates for lower income people.
I know overweight women just hate to be seen in public
in a swim suit, but many are very overweight in the
older group and no one really notices or cares. You
get right into the water and nothing shows but your
neck and head. You can get a suit at low cost at Ross

make you feel so much stronger and better. Many say

Hi,

If I could stand up, knowing that a mini trampoline might help my lymph

bouncing, not even off the trampoline, will help lymph drainage. Also, I would
consider the alternatives. But, those are just my thoughts.

Hi! Anyone have any suggestions for a sore and swollen knee?
I think I sprained the darn thing when my Pug wanted to go out in the
middle of the night, and in the dark I stepped on a bit of dog chewy. That hurt
my wonky foot, so I stepped off it quickly, and came down funny.
This was a couple of weeks ago, and since then it pops and snaps, and it
hurts like holy hanna when it does!
I have been keeping the hot pad on it and taking Ibuprofen occasionally.
Seems to be the ligamenty thing that holds the kneecap on, as the pain
isn`t deep in the joint. Ideas??

Hello Marshalee!

I have had two joint replacements and I use a 50%/50% mixture of cayenne
tincture and DMSO I put in a roll-on bottle. I do get some stinging from the
cayenne but the relief is greater. Too much heat? lemon juice will remove it,
but take care on where you put in on and how much will run down. If you need
to adjust the mix 30/70% DMSO is great to start out with.
I make my own tincture from 130,000 HU cayenne pepper powder (I buy bulk by the
pound) and 80 proof vodka. I would prefer 100 proof but it is scarce and costly.

Re: CSSore Knee

2006-09-02 Thread V
Yes the rebounder will do its job with even very gentle bouncing where
you dont even leave the mat.
What it does is activate the lymph system which pumps lymph using a
bunch of check-valves and the up and down motion compresses the vales
and lymph so they open and close and the lymph moves along the lymph
vessels. there are more lymph vessels in the body than blood vessels and
parallel the blood vessels everywhere and then some. So the gravity
fluctuation of bouncing is what makes them work. We humans are running
animals and when you run your body bounces up and down. people that move
very little, which is most of us, then have very slow moving lymph. If
the lymph moves very fast you get almost instant healing. Our sedentary
lifestyle is what brings on all the disease.

This sounds silly, but be careful about using a rebounder...

An older person I know compressed his vertebrae using one.

I believe I developed a mild case of plantars fasciitis by really
overdoing it with bare feet.

Go slowly and reasonably gently.

I browsed on e-bay for a while before I finally popped for my non-
folding reboundair model direct from the manufacturer. I could never
quite satisfy myself that the quality of construction on the various
copies would be good enough.

A reboundair or needak from a private party would come up so rarely
that I just didn't want the hassle of waiting, and the selling prices
were not much better than the frequent 'sale' prices.

I'm still over 200 pounds but I don't feel like the reboundair even
notices me! grin Good unit.

  Hi,

If I could stand up, knowing that a mini trampoline might help my lymph
problems, then I would clamber up and try. Other people say even a slight
bouncing, not even off the trampoline, will help lymph drainage. Also, I would
consider the alternatives. But, those are just my thoughts.

Bounce House. Geez, do they have the energy. wish I could recycle that :))

Even just standing and raising your heels off the floor a few times, helps.
Raise your hands over your head, shake and lower.
The lympathics are motion based so most movement would be helpful.

CS would also help as its made with distilled water, which helps leech all
those stored toxins in the lymphs.

The best idea is a massage from a good friend.

Usually the hip going out of alignment causes a knee problem. If you stand in
front of a mirror and close your eyes for about ten seconds, then look at the
shoulders in the mirror you will see one shoulder higher than the other. This
usually means the hip is out of alignment. The first two web sites have free
exercises you can do for the hip. The last one has a book of exercises that are
well illustrated, the cost is $3.95.

You might have to let it just rest for awhile I know it is really bad to limp
on it because you can get the muscle sequence out of whack...I also learned
that shoes that are worn down on the sides can cause your knee's to hurt

I think I sprained the darn thing when my Pug wanted to go out in the middle
of the night, and in the dark I stepped on a bit of dog chewy. That hurt my
wonky foot, so I stepped off it quickly, and came down funny.
This was a couple of weeks ago, and since then it pops and snaps, and it
hurts like holy hanna when it does!
I have been keeping the hot pad on it and taking Ibuprofen occasionally.
Seems to be the ligamenty thing that holds the kneecap on, as the pain isn`t
deep in the joint. Ideas??

Re: CSSore Knee

2006-08-31 Thread Marshalee Hallett

Brain damage from the Lyme Disease. CS stopped the bug, but after 6 years of
the little devils, I have permanent damage. sigh...Sure wish I could get rid of
it. Brushing the skin doesn`t work, nor has anything else I`ve tried.
It isn`t the circulation or the nerves, it is lymph building up.
Of course if I lost a bunch of weight that might help...

Hi again Marshalee...glad you made a new friend...if your feet and knees are
swelling too do you have some circulation problems or something else going on
maybe?...debbie
