get the greatest amount of participation. For any CS user on this list who
has an eye infection in BOTH eyes please consider performing the following
test:

1) Prepare your CS as you usually do. If it contains saline, that's OK.
2) Prepare another CS batch that either contains saline, if your regular prep
doesn't, or doesn't contain saline if your regular prep does. Estimate the
saline and CS concentration if you can.
3) Administer the saline CS prep to one eye, and the non-saline CS prep to
the other
eye.
4) Record your observations as often as you can until both eyes clear up, and
let us know your results.

Nitpickers RELAX. I promise I will not submit any of our tests to the New

CS>Insight needed

2000-12-07 Thread Vchacha
Hi all,

Got a question here. First a little background. I've had a case of chronic
hives since January. Unknown origin. I've tried lots of things; some have
helped, some haven't; don't have the total solution yet.

Now here's my problem and I think in some way it may be related. Maybe. I
have never in my life had a problem with water retention. Until these last
couple of months. Whenever I take any kind of vitamin supplements,
probiotics or anything, I start to retain water. As soon as I stop taking
them, I go back to normal. If I use liquid acidopholus, it seems to be fine.
I started using CS last week when I felt like I was coming down with a cold
(which handled that right away) but now the CS also seems to be causing me to
retain water.

This is so frustrating and mysterious. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Virginia

You've gotten the concise answer from Brooks. Here's the verbose
response:

Subject: What is a Herx? Answer...
Date sent:Sun, 19 Apr 1998 14:31:25 -5

I'm not as much of an expert as any of our Lyme sufferers, but I've
heard them explain it often.

The Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction is named for the scientists who
identified the condition. It came out of research into the treatment
of Syphilis, which is the archtypical spirochete disease.

It is caused by a sudden die-off of microbes as a result of
treatment. The dead beasties dump their toxins and metabolites into
your system all at once and it takes a while for your liver to filter
out the poisons. You then suffer an apparent worsening of symptoms, or
additional symptoms entirely the result of the reaction.

A major herx, paradoxically, is a sign of hope and improvement for the
lyme sufferer, as it means the treatment is actually getting to the
damn bugs. Given many of these folks' difficulty in getting proper
diagonsis and effective treatment, they're usually grateful to finally
see something, anything, happen.

The downside is that a sudden massive herx can be very stressful and
even fatal. We're talking the potential for toxic shock. Somebody
who's already sick and immune compromised, maybe having more than one
infection, could get knocked on their butt in a hurry with too big an
initial dose of colloidal silver.

Severe Herx's can feature sudden fever, vomiting, diarrhea, fainting
or dizziness (from low blood pressure), and skin rash. Like other
kinds of shock, it may require urgent treatment if blood pressure
drops too low. A mild herx, while uncomfortable, does not *require*
treatment and will run its course by itself.

In the Lyme treatment protocol on one of Advantage Pharmaceutical's
web pages, you'll notice the emphasis on starting slowly, and
gradually increasing the dose based on symptoms. This minimises
the risk of triggering a massive Herx. The URL is:

http://www.xpressnet.com/bhealthy/bodywght.html

Don't interpret anything I say here as medical advice. I'm just
repeating what I've found and read elsewhere and may have it all
wrong.

Be well,

Mike D.

Re: insight/herx

1998-05-05 Thread Brooks Bradley
I believe you will discover that the reference "herx", is actually a reference
to a
Herxheimer's reaction (a physiological response involving the body's reaction in
handling dead microbes/pathogens resulting from some specific protocol/modality
used
in treating various systemic disorders) brought on by the cardio-vascular
system
being challenged by the toxicity of all the bugs the referenced treatment has
just
killed. Brooks. . Inouye

Something that I forgot to mention is alot of sleep helps the healing
along alot faster. The nurves are kind of like a wire with insulation
that is brittle. The more you move them the more that they are going
to short circuit and the longer time it's going to take them to heal.
In the past when my nurves get to twitching real bad I've taken pills
to make me sleep for 24-48 hours. That takes care of the problem for a

Re: insight/herx

1998-05-02 Thread Susan M. Yensen
Whitney some more, Susan

I feel really bad to keep hearing this. This is what I do for Herx whixh I
nearly killed myself with once.
I use:
Digestive enzymes on an empty stomack--they go through the body and "eat
up" trash like toxins and immune complexes--this is well documented now. I
have done this for ten years--that's how many times I have had herx for
Candida and whatever else. I take Mega Zyme by Enzymatic Therapy and 5 at
once then 20-30 mins later 5 more. This WILL diminish your muscle pain and
the twitching. You can continue until relieved, or sick to your stomach.
The enzymes have worked as well or better than morphine.

Molybdenum--250mcgms once to start aned then again amazing results

alacer Emergen-C 2000mgms of vit C minerals stir into liquid fizzes,
contiunue with the above upto whatever you can tolerate.

Water in massive amounts.

Soda water--Club soda read the label some have bicarbonate of soda in them
and are great over ice when you are feeling so bad.

COQ10 100 mgms 2-3X pewr day.

Grape seed extract--the capsule 100mgms 2-3-4 times a day, or 2 at once
with the enzymes for pain. You can also add the COQ 10 with it and it all
workd together.

Other antioxidants as you feel able or have on hand.

You are probably saying right!? I'm so sick I can't even see and this
woman is telling me to do all this stuff or even get it.

Get someone to help you. OR When you are feeling better get these things
and keep them on hand so that you won't be with out. when you are sick. I
live alone so I have to be prepared especially when I know the results of
what I am doing are more than likely going to cause me to herx!!

You can take bicarbonate of soda now if you have some in a glass of water
to help alkalinate the reaction. When you Herx you become more acid due to
lots of factors not only just the toxins in your system. Your body is also
producing catecholamines as a result of the insult these lead to
inflammation of everything that can become inflamed. The problem here is
that not properly taken care of this can become a cycle in itself. The
enzymes will reduce the catecxholamines also.

Hope this helps and your suffering eases soon.

Life is Fragile. Handle with Prayer
Susan

Re: insight/herx

1998-05-01 Thread Susan M. Yensen
Nick,

I read a study in which heart disease pateints where given COQ 10- after by
pass and the other half weren't the results showed 30% or so less
recurrance os symptoms and morbidity in the COQ10 group it was alot of
milligrams. Also friend is using it in conjunction with breat cancer
treatment at the behest of her doc and taking 400mgs aday.

I think that I still don't know the answers. I think you need to get
online with the library or go browsing through Amazon.com and get some good
well bibliogaphied books and teach yourself about this. then you would be
informed about the truth. You could read all the pro's and cons. My doc
who is feigning at being a liitle open poopooed COQ10, I find it helps me.
Certainly the people who studied it wanted to know it it made a heart more
efficient in the way it used oxygen.

MSM is a sulpher. Look up in the library all the vegetables that are
sulphur containing vegetables. I wager if they are grown organically or
gosh who knows anymore. Iknow what i grow when I can grow is good b/c I
put the minerals and kelp and cottoneseed meal into the soil--how do you
know otherwise? Perhaps if they are fresh you have to trust you are
getting the right thing.

The only thing that boithers me about MSM is that is has methane molecule
on the end of it.I simply don't know how that would affect me as is this
manufactured to "be like" the sulpher we get mnormally and is the sulphur
we get nomally methane??? Maybe someone knows.

I use the things I do b/c I have researched them. I cannot at this time
access that information imn my brain. I have gobs of stuff around here to
get the "whole "picture but I am not strong i=enough to dgo through it
again. I know what these do to me and why I take them and what my illness
is and what is mainly wrong that needs help. I don't know yours, but you
do and can know how these affect you. I take a couple of newsletters. Not
the hype ones, they over the years have stimulated me to learn a little
more. With the net and medline you should be able to access this stuff in
your own home and print in out or get online with a University and get them
to fax stuff to you. they are great!!! If I were really well and knew
that I could put all your factors together I would say this or that. So
far I use magnesium and COQ10 for my heart along with a little potassium
now and then I don't know what to do for your heart or your BP.

I am talking like this b/c it is hard for me to imagine anyway that
antio=xidants can hurt a h=eart or blood vessel unless you area llergic to
it. Perhaps it is with the pill and renders it inactive as it goes through
the body cleaning up toxins and you see those drugs would be seen as toxins
to the natural body system even if they control your BP. for instance
digitalis leaf is a poison. For years it has been used to make the heart
beat slower and with greater strength thus increasing ejection fractions.
Good drug long old drug, The new guys didn't get the message that litle
old people have to have dig levels done regularly and so their patients got
digitoxic so they changed them to some other beta blocker or something in
large doses, knocked em out, and said they were getting old and senile.
The problem. too much drug. We rescued a little old lady from the nursing
home who was "demented " all of a sudden(her daughter and me in spirit)
took her off everything fed her hydrated her and got the right tiny little
bit of medicine for her heart and she is home baking bread for the
neighbors and walking to the post office everyday to get her mail. Seee!!

So don't depend on me and my memory when you have all this stuff you can
find out for yourself. It is empowering and you may save your own life or
someone else's. Now detoxing I can tell you b/c I am doing it. See the
difference. I hope you do. Good Luck

Mike,
I did continue to take the same amount of the higher ppm. I would have to
take alot of the lower dose ppm to make up the difference. I would probably
spend my entire time making CS as to the fact I am not the only one that
takes it here. That would be a good thing to find out though.

Pool water treatment is actually one of the uses of colloidal silver
(and copper) that the skeptics and righteous debunkers out there
will recognise as valid. I guess the pool chemical industry doesn't
have as big a lobbying effort in Washington.

Silver sanitizes the water and copper kills the algae.

Here's the URL of one company that makes metal ionizer type pool
water treatment equipment:

   http://web.evcom.net/Zark/index.htm

And more detailed (and very small type) explanations at:

   http://web.evcom.net/Zark/everi.htm

No endorsement implied. It's just a site I found.

I imagine a system like that would be lot's easier than making CS by
the batch and dumping it in all the time. $500-600 (US) compared to
how much in pool chemicals? How many years 'til payback? How much is
your time and aggravation worth?

Let us know if you decide to buy one! Sounds like a class way to go.

Be well,

Mike

Just checking, Donna: You're taking similar size doses now but of
the higher ppm CS? Did you ever determine if you had taken large
enough doses of the 7 ppm stuff it might have worked just as well?

It is one school of thought that large enough quantities of even 3-5
ppm CS will do as much good as higher ppm, and be easier to make to
boot. That's why we have kidneys, doncha know!

If your experience differs it would be good to analyze why.

Whoa, hope you're on your feet again soon, Deb!

I think she's using a recipe that involves heating the water. It
supposedly makes the particles smaller, and definitely makes the
process quicker for the same ppm. So it's natural to talk about
"cooking up a batch."

> Given the recent thread on larger ppms meaning less effective

Deb, if you can afford the several hundred dollars for one of the
bigger batch makers -- CS Pro, Motherlode, whatever -- go for it! And
the sooner the better from the sound of it!

Some minor quibbling aside we've got no reason to think they
won't work. We've got at least a couple owners of those machines on
this list right now who're completely satisfied.

We discuss the full spectrum of options because people's needs are
different. IF the *only* way to make good CS was a 500 dollar HVAC
unit, then that's all we'd talk about. But the low voltage battery,
HVAC, HVDC, solar, nuclear reactor, geothermal, tidal forces, and
hamster powered systems all seem to have their own virtues in
terms of cost, simplicity, survivability, reproduceability,
entertainment value, etc.

Hope you get better soon, Ma'am!

Re: insight/herx

1998-04-30 Thread Nancy B.
Thanks for the very informative post, Susan.

(If this is too much off topic, you can privately email me. I've got some
questions.)

I've found great benefit in using "Beano" to eat various vegetables and beef
fat (sorry, haven't given beef up yet!)

I'm curious about other enzymes; my allergies are causing continual mild
upset stomachs. It causes me to crave carbohydrates which is likely over
feeding candida, contributing to more hunger...

I think the CS is helping keep candida in check. Never the less, due to
allergies, I wake up feeling famished and find myself munching on junk all
day long. (Still no sinus infections despite a couple bad colds this year.
CS has diverted them! I used to get SI 3 or a4 times a year!)

Do you have any idea what's going on here & if an enzyme supplement can help
with that?

Sincerely,
Nancy

insight/herx

1998-04-30 Thread Donna
Cathryn,
First off if you have had one positive lyme test then that is what you
have, believe me. There is no such thing as a false positive when you have
lyme. What you are experiencing is a definite herx, hang in there. You may
have to go through a few herxes before you start to feel better. It took
Candace about 6 months and it does say it can take anywhere from 6 to 9
months to be gone. Discouraging, it sure is, and it really stinks.
I use a TDS-1 to read the ppm. I purchased it from someone on the list.
What I did was to make a fresh batch, test it with my meter and then sent it
out to the lab. The one I have was off about 9 so I callibrated the meter
that I had. I can also just add ten everytime I make it. For quite a few
months I was really discouraged because I was not getting anywhere and then
I finally had it tested to find out it was only 7ppm. Now that I am taking
the 30ppm there is a big difference. I do not use any saline at all just
pure distilled water and go from there.
Oh Yeah, The twitches in you muscles, I have them to but they are finally
subsiding, hopefully to be gone for good soon. Hang in there. When Marsha
gets back she can offer her story to and If Candace reads this she is a good
testimomial.
Always here,
Donna

1998-04-30 Thread Debbie McDonald
Hey Susan,
Your helpful hints on herx were great and I saved them. I am just out
of surgery three weeks ago and have had heck since then, kidney
infection, then bad reaction to the sulfa drugs so I might try your
regimen while I feel bad enough not to eat. I have battled toxicity
anyway and this is sounding like a grand way to help.
When you refer to cooking your CS, is this to increase the ppms or is
this in making of the main batch. Given the recent thread on larger ppms
meaning less effective particulate size, I am very interested as I had
been planning on getting one of the larger machines due to need for high
volume to treat the horses, now I don't know what to do, I will be
making CS all day if I have to use the methods that make low volumes???

Vern,

I had the article and sent it with a friend so she would understand what I
am saying to her. It has a good bibliogralphy for you. I will see if I
can get it back from her and post it for you.

Megazymes by Enzymatic tharapy are good for me b/c I can tolerate them
whereas others I cannot that is why I say this brand.

It is Pancreatic enzymes (10X) 325 mg (full strength undiluted and uncut)
Units of activity*
Protease 96,580
Amylase 98,780
Lip[ase 24,496
Trypsin75 mg
papain 50mg
bromelain (1.200 M.C.U.) 50 mg
amylase 10 mg
lipase 10 mg
lysozyme 100 mg
chymotrypsin 2mg

About Candida, you can eradicate it with CS done slowly and carefully
according to your health state. WHen a single celled organism, or parasite
or the spirochete of which we read so much dies, it's death releases a
toxin that was inside the organism heretofor. So when [people get treated
for Candida and are not properlu educated about the Jarisch Herxheiomer
reaction--the body'e reaction to the toxin released at the death of the
organism, oftentimes they feel worse and stop taking the medication and may
say they are allergic or whatever b/c we don't get the same thing painfiul
reactions with antibiotic therapy for common micro organisms. As a matter
of fact many doctors don't understand this.

Funguses are very different creatures docs in 3rd world countries are the
best at recognizing these things and treating them. Although we are
catching up. Funguses have the ability to change forms according to their
replication cycle and unless you are in this cycle they will not be found
in the blood, they can be budding yeast which looks like cottage cheese or
mycelia which can travel from organ to organ with out the use of the
vascular system. When you are in this replication cycle you feel worse and
crave sweets or fermented things. The yeast need more carbohydrate to
live. Yeast Canndida and monilia are basically the same for the purpose of
this post.

What the enzyme does ON AN EMPTY STOMACH is get readily absorbed into the
bloodstream and "eat up 'the toxins released by the dying fungi or
spirochete. It is a good add on for treatment of Candida but will not kill
candida. It will alleviate the pain as do the other things I delineated in
a previous post.

Now, the article had several subtitles and said in effect that in studies
done--double blind no less that it has been found that they relieve the
pain of inflammation better that then ensaids so commonly prescribed which
are poison to me.

They also discovered a use for these in autoimmune disease like MS and so
forth is that they discovereed that the enzymes will also eliminate
circulating immune complexes. this is important for peopole like me for
instance b/c the immune complexes I have are anti myelin ones and attack
the lining of the nerves and it is painful process.

Also good in allergies for precisely the same thing they will digest
allergens, reduce swelling (anti inflammation effect) tThe anti
inflammation effect is accomplished as the enzymes soften and digest the
fibrin and other substance and catecholamines in the infalammatory
reaction, including arachidonic acid which is the culprit that causes pain.

So It may be a while before I can get that bibliography up b/c I can't
leave the mountain just now and I will have to get her to bring it to me.

These also aid in digestion taken with food. Many people have
malabsorption problems once things are set into motion of being a disease
that is multi organ. Leaky gut syndrome needs to be addresed in you rfriend
proabably after a long siege of intractable Candida. There is a special
diet for that too. It is an ordeal but it can be done.

Hope this answers your question for now.

I'm not suggesting you do this with CS BUT I can tell you this about
the herx and antibotics. When I get one I increase the dose of the antibotics
and it goes away. To answer your question yes the herx is worse when the
bugs are on their active cycle.

Cathryn,

Donna,
I think that I need to increase the CS based on what I have been reading.
What is the gadget you use to read the PPM? I am not familiar with this. Do
you make your CS using a few drops of a saline solution with the distilled
water also? The pain is throbbing continuously in my legs (mostly lower) and
forearms and the tops of my hands. I am also still having twitches in my legs
that feels like a nerve thing. My throat is kind of sore but not like a real
sore throat. Neck is stiff and I have a dull headache. I am back to sleeping
alot due to the fatigue.

The doc. today still said that he cannot say it is or is not lymes. He
brought up the idea of getting evaluated for chronic fatigue but says that
sometimes it is overdiagnosed and really another illness that gets
misdiagnosed. I made an appt. with the doc. for Monday. I have had the one
pos. lymes test and 2 neg.

I felt so much better last week. I thought I was on the mend. This is most
discouraging.

Thanks for any ideas or thoughts.

Cathryn,
The pain and the herx seem to occur every time there is a build up of
toxins in the system. I also have mine back but it is not as bad as the
first extreme one. I am hoping it won't get much worse. Hang in there, I
know it is hard to believe that this is a good thing that you feel so bad.
Remember the CS can reach into place the anitbiotics can't, at least so it
seems, I am not a doc. If you are in pain now wait alittle while to
increase, try to do it around every two weeks. As for how long I cook it, I
start with about 3 cups and it usually runs about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I have
been using the TDS-1 to watch the ppm reading so I can keep it pretty
consistent. If Candace reads this she can tell you herself how bad her herx
was. I think she has been off of CS now for quite a few months and can
truly say that her lyme is gone. Let's hope that is us soon. What type of
pain are you having? Right now I am having stabbing pains in the arms and
legs, a bit tired, and alittle moody.

Below is the dosage that Candace gave me, it is probably the same one you
have. You mentioned that it is 3 nine volt batteries that you have. I

it tested. As for the color being coudy white, mine is golden yellow. The
jury is still out on what color Cs should be. I believe it should be the
yellow color. My herx is just about over for now, I do expect it to be back

heat my water to about 175-180 and then keep it on a hot plate to try to
maintain the temp as close as possible.

I checked the generator and there are 3 9Volt batteries. The book I had said
that if you heat up the distilled water to 104 degrees that that will increase
the ppm concentration in a shorter amount of time. The color of the CS is a
creamy white. I have the dosage infor from Susan Yensen but I do not have
Candace's. I am thinking that I should increase the dosage because I have been
on this for over 2 weeks. Something is finally working however. I hope you
make it over the next hump without a relapse. Let me know if you find the
info. from Candace. Thanks.

Testimonial. The information is there, you just have to dig a bit. Try:

1998-04-18 Thread Donna
Catwalker,
You did not mention how many batteries are in the generator. I have 3
batteries and I take 3 cups of water and it usually takes about 2 to 2 1/2
hours before I get the 30ppm. What color is your CS?
As for floaters, they are little black spots that float around in your eyes,
most people have them from time to time but mine are always with me.
Then for the ppm, I meant to say to make sure to increase the amount you are
taking of the CS about every two weeks. Did you ever get that email that
candace posted to the list on the protocol for lyme when taking CS. This
explains the dosage by weight. If not let me know and I will go througy my
files and see if I can dig it up.
My herx has subsided for now. We will see what the next couple of weeks
bring. I expect in about another 10 days it will flare again. (hoping not)
If I left anything out just let me know.
Donna

1998-04-18 Thread Susan M. Yensen
Hi,

About die off. Dr Sherry Rogers suggests using molybdenum for it. I have
and it works! Also Dr Farber suggests using m0lybdenum for die-off and
sells a combo product that I can't use b/c of my MCS, but you may be able
too.
So now besides water I use molybdenum 250mcgs in addition to the Alacer
that I also take. I use grape seed extract and COQ10, salt water snizzles
for the head and digestive enzymes to get stuff to the right place. And an
alkalinating agent such a bi or tri salts. This combo is helping me at
present with the discomfort. I take them and lie down and keep warm and in
about 1 hour the ordeal is over.

Hi a friend used to come to my house for rifing. We used the whole
spectrum of freq that D.Tunney was using at that time. We never used any
of the freq that cause "die-off" as she barely could get around and had to
work. So we left off any candida and fungal ones but I will post this list
for you and you can see for yourself. The list includes some freq we
didn't use. At first we would stop using freq that made us uncomf, but
decided once to see if it got better and generally it was over within ten
minutes, we began to have nore results doing it this way. Susan

1998-04-18 Thread Cat3walker
Donna,
I purchased a generator from silver solutions out of CA. It is a battery
generator. It came with a book that said that heating the water up to 104
degrees would increase the ppm in a shorter cooking time. I cook 16 oz. for 9
min,. after heating to 104 degrees. Let me know what kind you purchased. I
am wondering if it is indeed at the ppm desired. Hopefully, it is.

I just started feeling better yesterday afternoon. The pain subsided some and
I am so thankful. Thanks for describing your pain to me. It helps to hear
from others who have similar symptoms. I think I was not drinking enough
water. I started drinking tons more of it since getting your first message
and the same advice from a few others. I also picked up some antioxidants per
a suggestion from a list subscriber. My mental state is much better now. I
am encouraged that the herx could last only up to one month. It makes sense
now as I approach 3 weeks that it would be getting better. What are floaters,
by the way? Also, you indicated to increase the ppm. Do you mean to above
30ppm?
Thanks again for the response.
Peace.
Cathryn

As for the pain, sometimes it is like a toothache and then sometimes it is

are starting to subside. I use to get them continually all day now it is
just a nuisance once maybe twice a day.
If you had one positive test for lyme you can be sure that is what it is.
You are lucky to get a positive, it took me five different tests to finally
find it.
I also have problems with floaters, tiredness from time to time, and I had a
whole lot more before the CS. Just make sure you a drinking plenty of water
to flush out your system.
What type of generator did you purchase? Battery? If so how many batteries?

Re: insight LONG

1998-04-17 Thread Nancy Berntsen
Dear Cathryn,

Donna was right on target with her post. I have slight ups and downs on CS
if I slack off or have a weak batch of CS myself. When I quit for a couple
months, I got a full blown relapse. CS definitely has made a big diffence
in my health unlike any antibiotic, IV or oral.

You are having results from your abx/CS no doubt. You do feel worse before
you feel better because of all the toxins generated from killed bacteria.
Drink lots of water, keep your circulation going somehow, and get lots of
rest. That's your "calling" so to speak for now, but you'll get through it,
one day at a time.

You had better ask for a copy of that pos. Lyme test if you haven't taken
one home already. If you find the need to change doctors, it could make a
big difference, as it sounds like your doctor is trying to keep a foot on
each side of the fence.

The problem with lyme tests is false negatives, not false positives. Don't
let anyone put doubts into your head about your diagnosis. You've got to
fight Lyme day and night. Herxes are a part of that.

I remember the days you are going through. A walk through the house felt
like a 10 mile trek through shoulder high jello. Carrying a couple gallons
of milk felt like carrying two concrete blocks. And my bones ached like I
had slept in icewater all night (like a young child feels fishing around for
his favorite soda in a bucket of ice water at a family picnic).

But if you keep up your treatments, you finally start to break through like
the sun coming out from behind thick clouds, a little sunshine at a time
until the days go from "mostly cloudy" to mostly sunny! It takes time,
though, and if you don't have a doctor that is willing to go the whole nine
yards, you really need to switch to someone who fully understands the life
cycle of the bacteria and the need for long term antibiotic treatment.

Incidentally, fibromyalgia symptoms can be caused by Lyme. Advanced,
uncontrolled Lyme infection can also cause MS, ALS, Alzheimers & Lupus
symptoms, thyroid, heart, etc; every system known to man can be affected by
borrelia bacteria. Its dubbed the "Great Imitator" by Lyme doctors.

You are fortunate to have found out about colloidal silver early. I was on
oral & IV abx for 26 months for Lyme disease (borreliosis) when I finally
accepted the fact that I had plateaued in healing. At that point, about
85-90% recovered from most symptoms, I stopped abx and started CS. CS
cleared up the last of my stubborn symptoms; I am not over Lyme; I still get
weak, whimpy cycles of symptoms, but overall, I'm about 95-98% better having
used CS for nearly a year and a half now. No ABX!!! What freedom! I feel
so much better just having gotten off them, and having something that works
that does not make me feel sick. It actually has warded off sinus
infections I used to get all the time, and I believe it's tuned up my immune
system unlike anything I ever took before. (Next best thing was co enzyme
Q10.)

My Lyme/CS story is at http://www.freeyellow.com/members2/silver-works .

I will post my "Hope for Those with Lyme Disease" brochure later today at
http://oikourgos.com/trisha .

Three internet web site references in my brochure are "must reads,"
especially Dr. Joseph Burrascano's "Managing Lyme Disease." Anyone with
weird symptoms or syndromes such as Lupus, MS, ALS, fibromyalgia,
Alzheimers, thyroid problems, CFS, ADD, arthritis,... ought to check this
site out.

If Lyme's not behind many of these illnesses, I suspect some other
unidentified microorganism usually is. Spirochetes can wreak havok in every
body system. Syndromes are only catch all diagnoses for groups of symptoms
that occur together for which the cause is unknown. Having a diagnosis is
not the solution. The bottom line is what's causing them, and what will
cure or subdue them.

You can also visit my Lyme web site,
http://www.freeyellow.com/members2/lyme-borreliosis for more Lyme info and
more of my favorite links besides the ones in the brochure.

Sincerely,
Nancy

Re: insight

1998-04-17 Thread It's not me
Reid,
No antibiotics. There is really nothing to kill. Fibromyalgia is not well
understood, but it appears to have something to do with a chemical that
convinces the brain that it is feeling pain although there is no or little
physical damage to cause the pain. Another school of thought is that it is
an autoimmune type disorder where the body actually attacks itself. All
that I know is the more and better that you sleep and the better you treat
your body and muscles, the better you end up feeling with Fibromyalgia. I
take amino acids and I think that they help because they keep the muscles
repaired and free of the byproducts that could be a pain causing factor. It
ends up being one of those things where you just end up tolerating a lot of
pain, but hey it won't kill you, so things could be worse. I've got to say,
I wish that the CS would help with Fibromyalgia, but to date, I've had no
luck. It sure works on many other things though.

Re: insight

1998-04-17 Thread It's not me
Cathryn,

I take all of the antioxidants that I can get my hands on, C, E, Beta
Carotene, Selenium, fruit and vegetable concentrates, and etc. I also take
some of the same nutritional supplements that weight lifters and
bodybuilders use such as the amino acids (Tri-Amino supplement, Acetyl L
Carnitine, Ornithine and etc.), B's, Ginseng and a few others. You might
try looking through some back issues of Joe Weider's Muscle and Fitness.
They seem to keep up on nutritional supplements that rebuild and repair
muscles, help with pain, cleanse oxidants and toxins from the body.

As far as exercise goes, I cannot say enough good things about it. They
actually
told me not to work out hard, but I found that lifting heavy weights made me
feel better than anything else. When I don't lift, it feels like someone
has parked a car on my chest, and all of my joints ache. I feel a bit like
someone has wrung me out like an old wash rag. All in all, I have went from
feeling like a ninety year old man and crawling out of bed, to where I
almost feel like I really am 34. Don't expect instant results from the
exercise or vitamins though, because neither worked like that for me. You
really have to stick with a lifestyle that will over time rebuild your
immune system and general health and hopefully the system will start to
repair itself.

Even though the docs don't think that you have Fibromyalgia, I will tell you
just for reference, you get what are called pressure or sensitive points.
These are on and around joints, the neck, armpits, sternum, groin, and etc.,
and they are always sore especially to the touch. In fact these points are
part of the diagnostic for identifying fibromyalgia. If you don't have
these sensitive points, I think it is a pretty good guess that you don't
have Fibromyalgia. Good luck and I hope you get some answers soon.

For little more than that, you can buy a PPM tester and calibration solution.
See the TDS-1 at http://www.hannainst.com

Personally, I'd rather spend the money on an instrument that lets me
test again and again and again, as necessary, rather than spend it on
one single test.

You don't have to buy a tester! Find a water testing place in your area and ask
them to test your sample for Parts Per Million (ppm) of Silver! I have a couple
of places here in my area of Ocean County NJ, I found a place that will test it
for $20 per sample. They can test for minute traces far lower than what we are
making. Anyway... thought this info might be helpful.

The doc. today said that I did not have fibromyalgia so I felt that was good
news. He was a Rheumatoid specialist and said he did not think that I had any
type of arthritic condition. He did say he did not think that I had lymes and
that I had hyperextension of the joints which meant I really had to have
exercise. Without the exercise, he said I would ache and have pain. This was

Re: insight

1998-04-16 Thread It's not me
Cat3walker,
I spent 5 years trying to find out what was wrong with me. I had pain
everywhere, EXTREME fatigue, memory problems, intestinal problems, and on
and on. I finally have found that I have Fibromyalgia. I can tell you that
I have not noticed any help from CS for Fibromyalgia, but then that makes
sense since it is probably not caused by virus, bacteria, or other living
organism. I can tell you that it was a Rheumatoid specialist that finally
decided that I had the FS. Of course that was after several other docs had
told me I had Rheumatoid, no Rheumatoid, Lupus, IBD, Ulcers, Lymes, Mono,
and etc. Be persistent with you doc, especially if you aren't getting any
better. Mine nearly killed me with Ibuprofen, N-saids and the like before
finding the right diagnosis. In fact they suggested that I had a chronic
pain condition and should see a shrink. I pushed on and if fact got very
mad with the doc just before he sent me to the right specialist. I don't
know if the docs are the same where you are from, but here, they want to
give you about 3 min. on a doc visit, and are in a rush to sweep you into a
category and feed you some pills. I have not found a great amount of help
for my condition, from the docs meds, but I have found some help in
nutritional supplements. If they find that you are suffering Fibromyalgi,
I'd be glad to share what helps me.

insight

1998-04-16 Thread Donna
In an answer to your question about a herx, i just went through the herx
from hell. I recently found out the CS I was making before was very low in
ppm until I had it tested and finally got it to where it was suppose to be.
Around 30ppm. I continued taking the same dosage, this is what brought it
on. I am still having the painful arms and legs, depression, nervousness,
and the heart pounding in my ear. The tiredness is subsiding. I was also
on the rocephin for sometime but it did not get rid of the lyme. Once off
of that is when I started the CS. I have had greater success with the CS
than anything. When I was first tested it came back as lupus. It actually
took five tests to show positive for lyme. What you are experiencing
definitely sounds like a herx. Keep going you are on the right track. If I
can help in any way just let me know.

Fwd: insight

1998-04-16 Thread Cat3walker
--- Begin Message ---
Since Oct. I have had reoccuring flu-like symptoms and incredible fatigue.
They have gotten worse over the months and I have been to many drs. I have
had tons of blood drawn for labs everywhere and have no conclusive diagnosis.
I have been following the silverlist infor. for a month or longer waiting for
test results and treatment of some sort. In the meantime, I ordered a
generator and began making CS.
Recently, 2 weeks ago today I began treatment with Rocephin, an abx. for
Lymes. I also began at the same time treatment with CS 2x daily at 30ppm (I
think), about 8 oz. per dose. Abx. is IV daily 2grams. I have had a few good
days since starting treatment however, I am wondering how long the pain goes
on. I feel like the pain has gotten worse since starting the trtment. and
seems to especially get worse at night. (legs and forearms) I am taking a
high dose of ibuprofren for the pain at times--but it really does not seem to
do anything. So the dr. prescribed a muscle relaxant, and it knocks me out.
I do not like feeling that so I have only taken it at night. I have now been
referred to a Rheumatologist for further testing. They tell me this dr. knows
alot about blood. I know that he has a background in diagnosing some patients
with fibromyealgia (sp). I had one positive lymes test and two neg. tests.
The infectious disease specialist dr. is the one treating me with the abx.

I have been off work for almost 2 weeks now. I keep thinking that the pain
will stop. I need some insights from anyone who can help regarding the
herx.,treatment and any good advice. I am feeling like this will never end.
