Actually my current ISP allows for it, but that's a Dutch cable
provider, so it's not really a solution for you. ;-)

Why? Can you explain?

That might be the best solution. IIRC gmx supports it, but that's
only secondhand for me, I never tried them.

Please no GMX!

But you can use the additional accounts for sending only.
EC Ah you mean having a real Account set up with all the Login and Send
EC parameters.
 Yes.

At least for the moment this would be the fastest solution.

I've checked postcastserver last year and it seemed reliable.

You have any URL please?

Moving all Filters

Is there a simple and reliable way in moving all the Filters of one
Account to an other in 'one' shot?

Copy one rule after the other into Notepad - when finished, Select
All in Notepad and Copy, then go back to TB and paste the rules into
   where you want them.

Good Idea! But needs some manual work.

 --- Sergey Uvarov / Mittwoch, 31.07.2002, 11:58:08
Even more simple :-)

just copy file named account.srx from one account to another. But!
it will eraze all filters in target account :-).

But that sound better.

After you should rename all source and target folders.

No need ;-)

I now did it that way:
   - Created first new Account
   - Moved the folders to the new Account
   - Closed TB!
   - Copy 'account.srx' from old to now Account
   - Restart TB! -- here it is.

Note I : as I have moved the Folders from the old Account to the new
one TB!'s Filter tool adjusted the path. After copying
the.srx File TB! recognized he is in an other Account and
striped the account name that was first part of the Filter.
Note II : even if you're not moving the folders from the old Account
to the new one 'and' you want to use the Filters from old
account, create equal folder Structure as in the old
Account. 'Then' you can copy the '.srx' file to the new
  Account folder.
If your Folder Structure must be adjusted you can now do so
and the filter System will adjust the folder path for you.

Thanks for your help :-)

Working with a Collect Account

2002-07-30 Thread Eddie Castelli

Dear readers from 'TB!udl List',

Many of us use different Mail accounts. Now I want to simplify all a
bit. Let's take one of my accounts at Yahoo.com (Y!a1 AND Y!a2). In
both accounts I set 'Forward' to an other - let's call it - 'collect'
Account.
The structure look now this way:

   collect account
   ---+---
  |
  +--- Inbox
  +--- Outbox
  +--- Sendmail
  +--- Y!a1
  | |
  | +--- Sub-Folder-1
  | +--- Sub-Folder-xx
  |
  +--- Y!a2
  | |
  | +--- Sub-Folder-1
  | +--- Sub-Folder-xx
  |
  V

The Account Properties of the 'collect' Account has the Informations
to connect to the 'collect' Server.
When I Reply-To a posting that arrived under Y!a1 Account I want to
send it also under this Name. Further account Y!a1 (and Y!a2) have
each a S/MIME certificate.

I've tried to send an eMail under the Name of Y!a1. But the 'collect'
Server wont let it through.

Here my two questions:
   - How are you handling/organizing your two Account in the 'collect'
 account?
   - How must the 'collect' account be set up to handle both (or
 later more) account?
   - Where do I store the Certificate for each of the accounts (e.g.
 Y!a1, Y!a2, ...)

Please Note: the Name of the 'collect' Account should never be show -
also not in the Header.

Thanks for your help and enjoy the nice day :-)

Re: Working with a Collect Account

2002-07-30 Thread Eddie Castelli

Dear Roelof,

 --- Roelof Otten / Dienstag, 30.07.2002, 15:52:26
Working with a Collect Account

EC Here my two questions:
Actually I see three questions. ;-)

Right - Inserted a question later and didn't read through again *gg*

... except maybe some synchronization of mail collects.

That's the point. When I'm on Expedition I want to collect with
different 'collect' Accounts the various eMails. The split is made 'by
Importance'. When I then download my eMail by Mobile Connection I need
only to select the 'collect' Account of high Importance. When on a
fast and/or Fixed line I can download also the others.
An other advantage is, when you connect to say three or four Servers
(with Hamster as example) you may use more time as you need to make
more than one Connection. If one Server doesn't work you may try and
try. This all will cost you something at the end of the month.
When you only need to Connect to 'one' server it work or not - that's
it and you try in one or two day's again.

Just like a normal account, I suppose. I haven't done anything
special, apart for filters for every address (both incoming and
 sent)

Ok under Account Properties I set the 'collect' Account Info. This is
clear to me.

EC - Where do I store the Certificate for each of the accounts (e.g.
EC Y!a1, Y!a2, ...)
 Don't know, don't use those.

Hope some other know this answer ...

EC Please Note: the Name of the 'collect' Account should never be
EC show - also not in the Header.

That's not that complicated. For every folder you can insert an
 identity (Name, address, reply-to), ...

I did this too.

As far as your sending problem is concerned, find an isp that allows
every outgoing address as long as you connect via it's own
 connections.

Do you know a good one?

Or find an e-mail provider that allows any outgoing address as long
as you use 'pop before smtp'. My own solution is running my own
smtp-server, but that shouldn't be necessary for you.

Will check with my provider

Tell me, can it be done with ADR? If yes, have you experience in
setting it up to work with TB!?

But you can use the additional accounts for sending only.

Ah you mean having a real Account set up with all the Login and Send
parameters.

But also here I must look to have my Mobile Cost as low as possible.
The way I understand ADR this could bypass the ISP when sending.

I have to admit that this setup would take the charm from a one
 master account configuration. ...

s.a.

 ... I don't have a 'collect' account. [...]

please see my answer to Roelof where I explain the reason of setting
up 'collect' Accounts.

 The account itself? ...

This I know - the account itself will be setup to collect the Mails
from the 'collect' Server.

 ... Don't know ... you'll either need a SMTP-Server allowing you to
send mails with arbitrary 'From:' ...

Or with ADR ?

This is the server saying that your from address is not one that

But the Desktop is setup 'exactly' the same way. An there I can send
out my mails.
To add is that on the Notebook I still can receive mails.

Either that or (less likely?) the server is wrongly set up not to
relay SMTP mail outside the LAN.

Re: Looking for an SMTP server

2002-06-27 Thread Eddie Castelli

Hej Marcus,

 --- Marcus Ohlström / Donnerstag, 27.06.2002, 17:00:37
Looking for an SMTP server

I am looking for an password protected SMTP server which allows me
to send mail wherever I am, not depending on who my ISP is for the
 moment.

It should be run by a serious company, I do not want an open relay
server but a service I can subscribe to and trust for a long time.

Anyone know a company that offers such a service?

I'm using 2 different way's:
1 - I have an free Account at www.web.de. They are quite serious
and I never have problems with them. It happens sometimes that
I can't connect but that's not so often.
2 - My provider also have an eMail Server and I'm very Happy with
   his Service. www.w-p-s.de

In both cases I Fetch and Send my Mails by POP/SMTP. Hope it's this
what you're looking for.

Re: TB! can not be a Virus

2002-05-03 Thread Eddie Castelli

Dear Michael,

TB! can not be a Virus

I cannot comment on what you can find. From time to time over the
years, I just don;t post things because things are going well. I
have sent no less than 19 messages about this.

But not after Nov. 11. 2001. I have joined the English TB!udl,
TB!tech, TB!ot and TB!beta in that period and I'm over 1 year in the
German speaking TB! lists. All msg are archived but I could not find
any postings from you pertaining to this problem (see below).

On TB!udl:
--
Dec. 15. 21:48 Why does it make noise?
   Dec. 20. 21:30 Re:Spammers on the list?
   Dec. 20. 22:03 Re:Garbage filter(s)
May 02. 05:02 The bat is a virus. goodbye

On TB!beta:
---
   Dec. 20. 08:22 Re:1.54 Beta/17
   Dec. 20. 08:22 Re:1.54 Beta/17 (diff. thread)
   Dec. 20. 08:44 Re:1.54 Beta/17
   Dec. 28. 23:34 Re:Beta/21?
   Mar. 16. 02:02 Strange message

Sorry Michael, I can't find your *several posting* on your (on this)
particular problem. Should you have posted before Nov. 11. then your
problem must not be so urgent as you did not follow up the last 6
month.

I can only assume that the problem with the bat is preventing mail
 from being sent.

Do you mean your TB! is preventing in sending your mails?

I love it. I use it all the time.

 just keep it ;-)

How can I keep an email program that must be setup from scratch
every time I use it? Are you willing to use a mail program that
takes 30 minutes of setup and recover every time you want to send
 and read mail?

Other people have given you some clue on how to setup an alternative
that takes only 2 sec (export the RIT registry to a .reg file 60 sec.,
double it and all Registry Informations are back into the old place
2 sec.). This alternative is just fine until you found the real
problem.

I even tried some beta releases with never a major problem.

Then why you never posted your problem on TB!beta list?

I stopped using beta about 5 months ago, and decided to stick with
releases because my email is sacred. I never posted in the TBBeta
because I never had a problem with any beta product that was not
 previously posted.

I think your contradicting yourself in this point. eMail is sacred for
many of us. I'm sure you followed the TB!beta list (as you posted on
Dec. 2001 and March 2002 I can assume so) by reading about the status
of development. There where always releases that where very stable.

If you say you had never problems while using Betas so why you didn't
stick to it?

I download 1.60h and the next day [...]

Give us some Informations about your running System!

 Windows XP Pro

Well well, of what I could see in TB!beta list is that XP-users have
more problems using TB! than say W2k users. I've kicked XP and went
back to W2k/SP2 and never encounter any problems.

Michael, please don't get me wrong. What nerves me in this thread -
Marck wrote it too - is that you make it hard for us to help you. I
tried in this posting to show that you may not have done all with
endurance in finding your problem not to mention that you haven't
setup any alternative. It's so easy to inculpate others - isn't it?

Just for the end - I'm using TB! more than a Year. THe last 6 months
I'm using *only* Betas. Never, never I lost *any* datas. The only
thing I've ever lost where my Templates - but this was my own fault
when reorganizing my Directory Structure.

S/MIME CA entries disappeared in AB

 However...

After all this, I now open up my TB! address book and the
Intermediate and Root CA groups that were always there before
are no longer visible in my address book groups tree (even though
in the View menu, I have Certificate Databases enabled). It
doesn't make a difference if I have my S/MIME set to TB!'s internal
 or MS CryptoAPI.

Where did the CA listings in my TB! address book go? How do I get them
 back?

Did you have a look at your AB Directory with your Explorer? There you
should find a .ABD File something like RootCA.ABD. If it's there I
only can imagine that TB! wont show it in your AB as long as you have
switched to CryptoAPI.
I Figured out something similar while changing to CryptoAPI the
Certificate Card (found in the Contact properties) has being gone too.
Switching back to Internal brings my Certificate Card back too.

So I'm wondering if the disappearance of you CA-folder has to do with
the same thing.

or I've used Folder templates for ages and it's never gone wrong

I agree - I've done it all the time too and it never went wrong

BTW - another mistake in such templates is to use the construct
%TO=[EMAIL PROTECTED] without a %TO='' before it. So any
   pre-existing addresses are retained.

I don't get this point Mark. Do you mean you should not use the
%TO=[EMAIL PROTECTED] Macro in your Templates? Could you please

Dear readers from 'TB!udl List',

Sorry for this OT here - as you are not Yahoo Groups!

Since yesterday night - quit long isn't it? - groups.yahoo.com is

very big 'Maintenance'.

Does anybody know more about it? Thanks for any Info!

(Marck, is it ok to have the Infos posted here as your not affected by

2002-02-17 Thread Eddie Castelli

Dear Jan,

Msg below I've send two times to this list - but nothing arrives. I've
checked Online - nothing there. I've send a test mail - it arrived
immediately! So here it is again the paranoia and therefore I'm
sending it a third time ;-(

Let's see if it arrives.

 X - OB Notification

Just recently I have sent a couple of msgs out to a Yahoo group.
Although these msgs are delivered appear on their server are
d/led to my machine, I also get an error stating that my msg cannot
be delivered to 'kat[at]warp.net' (which I haven't used to the best
 of my knowledge).

I don't know what I should think of but let me say I had in some cases
the same experience. Let me take an example of Jan 19. 2002:

I've posted a msg to a group on that day at 8:15. The msg reached
the ML at Yahoogroups. But about 1h later I got a msg back saying

=-- return-msg quote
The original message was received at Sat, 19 Jan 2002 08:22:07 +
 from dev120.mailshell.com

- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -
 mike[at]harriston.evesham.net
 (expanded from: mike[at]harriston.evesham.net)

- Transcript of session follows -
 mail.local: unknown name: mike
 550 mike[at]harriston.evesham.net... User unknown
=-- /return-msg quote/

I've never send my msg to 'mike[at]harriston.evesham.net'! So I was
wondering to what this should be.

But, you know Jan, I'm not very much worrying about it. If 'big or
bad brother' wants to watch me can. I have nothing to hide. You sure
  know what I mean ;-)

Does this sound like a worm of some kind to you all?

Jan, it's not a worm _it's a feature_ (since 11.9.2001)

 Double Byte Character Set

Is is 8 Bit decoding or I mess here everything ?

Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with this. My Answer I could give
you after googling on the word DBCS.

But: after googling again on dbcs (8-bit|8bit|8 bit) I found the
Information you where asking. It says:

= http://www.double-byte.com/102800.htm ==
DBCS is designed to support Asian languages, and uses both 8-bit and
16-bit character encoding. For ASCII, not ANSI, characters, the
8-bit encoding is used. For the Asian languages characters, the
16-bit encoding is used. Thus, implementing DBCS support in your
application would require extra coding. You have to check if a
 character is an 8-bit character or a first/last 8-bit of an 18-bit
character. There are different DBCS for different Asian languages.
For example, Japanese has its own while Korean has its own character
set. You might end up with a code for Japanese, another code for
Korean, another for Simplified Chinese, and so on; how would you
like to maintain that many codes for just one application?
= /http://www.double-byte.com/102800.htm/ ==

Does this help you?

Enjoy your day :-)

2002-02-10 Thread Eddie Castelli

Dear Yuki san,

 --- Yuki Taga / Sonntag, 10.02.2002, 09:24:44
Future Development

Very advanced in what context? What I am asking about actually, I
guess, is the often referred to but somewhat phantom version 2. And
my comment above is really about release versions, not betas. There
hasn't been a new release version, highlighted on the TB home page,
since June 19 of last year.

Final v2 is in development. The process is - and this is the deep
thought of TB!beta - to first develop Functions that work. No need to
explain how users would react when a SW-Version is released with a lot
of bugs. So joining the TB!beta gives to everyone the chance to give
in his thought and participate in testing so as to help in bringing
out a stable v2.

BTW - beta39 is so good that you could make use of it as your v1.53o
with the difference that it has added functions and features.

I'm not really interested in running a beta, although a beta being
developed with DBCS support would probably change my mind very
 quickly. [...]

Only your participation in the TB!beta list can answer this.

I'd like to hear from someone who knows if this is still the case,
or even if there is currently development being done on version 2 --
 serious development, of course.

there is a constant development process and the people at RITLABS work
very hard to a final v2.

 I wouldn't be surprised if it's
dying. E-mail clients are not fantastic money makers in the first
place. I'd just like to know the current story.

No way Yuki san. Don't ever think of it. TB! is much more used on this
planet as you may dream of - belive me.

I am not interested in a TB! Japanese. Not in the slightest.

Just my thought :-)

What I am interested in is a TB! English that can read Japanese
e-mail, and that will let me input Japanese directly into its
 message editor. [...]

If no one in this list can answer you this you should contact RITLabs
directly. Stefen and Maxim are very open an communicative and you
would for sure get the most competent answer.

It's nice to be a fan, Eddie. I'm a fan, too, but I'm not a fan
beyond all reason. I need to be even more international than TB! is
 at the moment.

But a fan is also a person who does not expect that *his* function is
available immediately but works toward his goal. You have all
opportunities by joining the different ML and Communicating with the
developers to reach your aim.
And TB! is very International (read my words above)!

 And sadly, there *are* alternatives.

My comment had a Smile ...

They may not be as great as TB! [...]

ACK!

Good morning Yuki San,

Future Development

With no release version since June 19 of last year, it seems that
development of TB! has slowed down somewhat. If this is to
concentrate on the (mythical?) version 2, at the expense of versions
 1.xx, great. Anyone know?

The development of TB! is very advanced - currently at v1.54beta39.
There is a list discussing all pertaining to TB!bata. You also can
subscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] an post your msg to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] It's a very interesting Group.

And does anyone know the status of incorporating full double-byte
character set support directly into TB? Specifically, it would be
nice if I could input Japanese directly into TB! using MS's Global
IME, which allows me to input it directly into Word or MSIE docs,
even running an English OS and English Office. Unfortunately, the
ability to copy said Japanese input from a Word doc into a TB e-mail
seems a hit or miss proposition. Sometimes it works, producing
Japanese text viewable to Japanese readers on their systems, and
sometimes producing screen garbage on their systems.

If you want to have a TB!Japanese you better get in touch with Ritlabs
directly. Write to Stefan Tanurkov [EMAIL PROTECTED] or Maxim
Masiutin [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Who knows if they have already a solution?
They are very glad to help you out.

BTW - is TB! already translated into Japanese?

I'd just like to know once and for all if we are ever headed in the
direction of full DBCS support. If not, I have to start searching
for alternatives again, and may simply have to resign myself to
Outlook. Can anyone speak with any authority on what Rit Labs is up
 to in this regard?

No need to look for alternative - there are non ;-)

Parked messages

I've just started using the delete-messages-after-x-days-option. However,
in some of the folders there are one or more messages I want to keep. I
suppose marking those messages as parked would make TB! leave them as they
are, but since they are important messages I want to know for certain, not
 just suppose.

Thus: Is it enough to mark a message as parked to make sure TB! doesn't
delete it automatically, or should I do something else to it as well?

When a msg is Parked you can not delete it but you can Copy to a
different folder. In this case the Parked msg will be in both folders.

Excuse my ignorance, I've just started using The Bat for e-mail. I
noticed that you were using PGP and I was wondering if the feature is
installed into the software, or do I have to find a PGP program to
 pair up with the bat.

You can Download from RITLabs Server the required .dll and put it into
the Main Program folder where TB! is Installed. THis gives you the
opportunity the encrypt and Digitally Sign your eMails without the
need of opening PGP. Further you still need to Install the PGP
Application.
Use the PGP 'v6.5.8 ckt6' as this is a secure (it thing even Open

some user are having v7.x but to me it doesn't give me confidence.

If you're interested - there is a ML for PGP users. Just send a empty

Wrong Filtering

2002-01-19 Thread Eddie Castelli

Dear readers from 'TB!udl List',

I've set a filter for 'Unknown' returns. The Subject is clear as it
says Returned mail: User unknown. Now I found that an other Filter
rule ('read confirmation') has being used to move the incoming mail it
into a wrong folder. What puzzles me is that the 'read confirmation'
rule does not have any informations that may be related to the
returned mail. Below you find the 'read confirmation' rule. May I ask
your help - maybe I don't see the mistake I've done.

Thank you

 Here's what I do:

Don't make too much ;-))

 1. Create the required note.
 2. Press Ctrl+S to save the message.
 3. Switch to Outbox, then turn unpark the message by turning off the
toggling off the hourglass icon.
 4. Move the message to the required folder.

The third point (turn unpark) can be left out. You can move Parked
msg. anywhere!

True, but I find it easier to toggle the hourglass icon than to
click the Yes button in the confirmation box that appears if you
 don't unpark before moving.

But to unpark you must move the mouse - to confirm you may just hit
Return what is much faster.

Re: Notes folder

Dear Geoff,

 --- Geoff Lane / Samstag, 19.01.2002, 12:47:52

This depends on how you move the message. I just click and hold the
hourglass icon then, without releasing the primary mouse button, drag
the message to my notes folder. That is, I combine the unpark and move
 steps.

Aha! I also have used the Mouse to move the msg. but didn't push at
the hourglass. Moving a parked msg always unpark it in the new
location.
Did I understand you right - you click and hold the msg to be moved at
this position where the hourglass is and it does not give you the
'yes/no' question?

I just tried using just the keyboard to move a message from my Outbox
to my notes folder, and it takes me much longer to do it that way
 (FWIW, I'm a touch typist).

As I said - I'm only using the keyboard to confirm the 'yes' the rest
is done with the mouse.

Hopefully, our conversation has given Alexander an insight on how TB
can be used to store notes as well as send and receive email.

yep!

PW I would love to use the memo feature to add a little something to

For some reason, you can use these icons only only when you are in

Can not confirm. I've tested with v1.53t and the latest beta-28. I
have even placed the cursor with focus on the folder and the button
works. Probably you can try in upgrading to v1.53t going to RITLabs

choosing an e-mail address from contacts

When composing a message, open the address selection window with the
little vcard icon in one of the recipients lines. Now you can right
click a contact and choose from a list via 'Add address -'.

Nice but a bit clumsy ;-(
It would be simpler when writing an eMail address into the Address
field to have this Icon beside the already existing one. When clicking
on it it should show the eMail-Address selection from the Name entered
there. If you have more than one Address written in the Field it
should show the alternative address of all of then if it exist.

Why is it that when I try and use the 'Add address'option I get an
error message Duplicate handle and cannot add an alternative
 address?

Yes I have this too. But not with all address books. One AB called
'Maillist' I have in one vCard an entry with 2 eMail address. The
other AB called 'privat' I have a test vCard with my name and three
eMailaddress.

Using the Maillist AB I can choose what ever is defined as alternativ
but this does not work using my privat AB focusing on my test vCard.

Can any other confirm this??

Dear Dierk,

choosing an e-mail address from contacts

No, I don't think so. I get this error even when I'm using handle
names like sdfkjsdhfkjsh (I'm absolutely sure this isn't a double
handle!) and with _every_ AB entry with more than 1 address I tried. I
 wrote a bug report.

I do have this sometimes when I delete a handle, leaving the field
empty. I then have to enter anything stupid and delete it again.

Hmm, never actually looked at the number of e-mail addresses ... no,
nothing to do with it, at least two people I had the problem with
never had more than one message.

Ok I found it! Dierk and Carsten you just gave me the point. I've
posted at 18:48 [EMAIL PROTECTED] that
trying it with two different AB and different Names I got this Error
with one.

Now I checked and found that this address that didn't work had a
handle. Taking it out it works. Also I cross checked with the address
that was working and had *no handle* - I put one in and it didn't work
anymore.

So we may have a bug!

Can other members confirm this Bug?

easily attacked by nimbda and all the present worm/virus fauna.

But it does not read the faq at
   http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/tbfaq.html very well. Clicking on
the = signs does nothing. To whom should I complain, Marck or Opera?

Under File|Preference (Alt-P) go to 'Network' and at top left you can
choose the 'Browser Identification'. If you set it to MSIE 5.0 it
could work. If not better using Netscape instead IE.

Valid signature with a corresponding icon. I have nevr seen this

This is a S/MIME Signature - in this case from Thawte (see:
www.thawte.com). You can setup your account for free and sign your
document. If the recipient has S/MIME certificate and is sorted in
your AB you can Encrypt the msg. to him/her. Attached Files are also
encrypted.

But never mind we are open for much and focus on content!

It looks neater than the PGP blocks,
but what are the advantages and disadvantages in terms of security
   and ease of use?

Personally I like very much PGP and seems very secure. S/MIME has the
advantage, that the recipient does not need to install a Prog to
verify the senders Signature.

Using TB! you can choose what Signature type you want for each
Recipient as you can define it in the AB Templates.

EC TB!. I had two of them I-Worm.BadtransII
EC Exploit.IFrame.FileDownload.

 How?

When you get a posting some of them have the 'message.htm' attached.
by some of these postings I'm looking at these files by clicking the
HTML button. I found that I got some strange mails the few weeks back.
So looking at these HTML messages I found in some a clickable Window
with no pic in it. Also the Msg was shorter then in the Txt View. This
is why I belive there must have being something. Even I have not
clicked on these HTML windows I must somewhere sometime made a bad
move.
I must say that *all* strange eMails came frome members of ML I'm
member myself. I have my thought about it :-((

Did you open it in your browser (by double clicking on the
attachment)? Because TB! is invulnerable for those viruses. TB!
doesn't run any scripts in HTML files.

No I didn't! This is why I don't realy know how I got infected.

Some virui (is that the plural of Virus?) you can catch just by
being on line. That is why I update with security patches, run a
fire wall and an anti virus all at the same time. My server has
clocked up a few attacks but they have always been repelled (So
 far).

Intresting! Could you let us know a bit more about this?

Are you sure the spell checker is not turned off? When you write a
message, new or reply, click on Spell Checker Menu and see if it is
there (not greyed out) and if Automatic Checking is marked.

Under v1.53t the SpellChecker is turned 'on' but under v1.54b10 and
v1.54b20 ist is greyed out.

Any idea?

 He did say 'may'.

LookOut Express is installed by default on most new windows systems.
I for one have Outlook 2000 installed as well as there are times
when I need an email client that can run JavaScript. He did not say
that it was TB that might have committed this crime.

In fact TB! warned me of such eMail while showing the correct file
extensions. No I think there was a direct attac on my system through
different means including HTML. But David mentioned already, that only
being online could spread Viruses. How? I dant know!

I didn't know it was a Beta version (1.53t). It is on the Beta page.

It's like an Official release - very stable!

I really don't have any program which will unpack a rar zip file and
I don't run into them anywhere else, so I don't think I will get the
 program.

I send you by PM Power Archiver. It manages all Archivfiles.

As far as I can see, the folder templates are stored in a file named
account.flx But in that same file your complete folder setup is being
 kept.
 [...]
Are you sure you've kept *some* folder templates or are you mistaking
address book templates for folder templates, since all folder
templates are being stored in the same file.

Thank you for the explanation. I will have a try. Yes you read it
right! In one Account there are Folders where I lost my Templates and
in the same Account some Folders they are still there.

I likte to add that I've changed in the same time from v1.53t to
v1.54b10. Do you think this could have to do with it??

Only /some/ Templates are lost !!

2001-12-20 Thread Eddie Castelli

Dear readers from 'TB!udl List',

Some days ago I had to move my TB!datas to a other drive due to lack
of memory. Now I found that on all Accounts I lost my templates except
on some particular folders. As I have generally kept my folder
structure as is I wonder why or how this could happen.

The Data have being moved from 'Old' to 'New'. The Subfolder ...\mail
has being moved to ...\ABdb:

Old Dataplace: New Dataplace:
  d1:\TB!ml\news\... d2:\TB!ml\data\news\...
 ...\ACC01 ...\ACC01
 ...\ACC02 ...\ACC02
 ...\ACC02 ...\ACC02
 ...\......\...
 ...\mail ...\ABdb

In most of the Accounts I lost Templates except in some subfolder.
Like _fold-1_, _fold-2_ and _fold-3\ml-1_ have lost the Templates and
_fold-3\ml-2_ and _fold-3\ml-3_ did not.

   NEWS-Account --+- Inbox
  +- Outbox
  +- Sent
  +- fold-1
  +- fold-2
  +- fold-3 --+- ML-1
  +- ML-2
  +- ML-3

If someone could tell me in what File these Templates are Stored I
could extract them from a Backup that is 3 weeks old. As some
Templates are still present I guess there must be a file for every
folder.

Could anybody confirm and give me advise for restoring my Templates?

Thanks you

Priority

2001-12-13 Thread Eddie Castelli

Hi folks from 'TB!udl List',

Looking at the Heather of my postings I see the Priority settings as
such:

X-Priority: 2 (High)
X-Priority: 3 (Normal)
X-Priority: 4 (Low)

If I'm not mistaken OE and NN are also using something like very
high and very low (probably x-Priority 1 and 5). Would this be an
option to add to TB!? This for sure would be of no much time to
implement.

Just want to find your thoughts about it.
