Actually getting once is good enough because one can't stay on top of every technical aspect of networking for too long. You have to branch off doing different thing
You can and should have links connected to other switches/hubs/routers that
are portfast enabled.
However you should leave portfast disabled when there is resiliency between
2 network devices which would cause a spanning tree loop.

I have had 'missing interfaces' on an AS5200 before - that was due to the
particular IOS version. I can't remember whether the interfaces disappeared as
soon as I had the new IOS on or whether it waited for a reboot. You might want
to check with the TAC and see what version they recommend.

Use the ip ospf priority command on the interface.
The router you want to be DR must have the highest
priority i.e
e0
ip address 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0
ip ospf priority 100
If you want a BDR then give a router a lesser
priority, if you don't want any other BDR's then set
the priorit

CCNP 2.0 accepts CCNA 1 or 2.
I am a CCNA 1.0 and a CCNP 2.0, which means that I will not need to worry
about my certs expiring for 3 years from the date I got my CCNP.
If I had never upgraded to CCNP, then I would expire 3 years from my CCNA.

This is correct, CCNA 1.0 does count toward CCNP 2.0. I went and took the
CCNA 2.0 test the other day anyway; it might be a good practice to pass that
one before you try to tackle the CCNP tests anyway.

I'm going to have to start messing with ATM - both for work (Cisco 7000's)
and for the CCIE.
I've looked at the Campus Design guide, but is there a good Cisco reference
for ATM - either book or web - and I need to get a grip not just on the
Cisco side, but the physical side.
