I have a Catalyst 5505 switch with a WS-X5201 module
and also have a WS-C2948G switch that I want to
connect to the Catalyst 5505. I want to create

*IMHO* stick with the 2610 more options and more versatile going forward.
2610 can do anything that the 3810 can do w/regards to voice.

I have just done the same thing few weeks ago.
Make sure that you have the cables from PBX to E&M interfaces made by the
Cisco specification. You can get the wiring details from the 1700 Series
Hardware installation guide or the web.
