In all the urpmi's I appear to have lost the

I don't have any idea how this new config system works. So any help please.
I need to evaluate apache::asp and I want to use Mandrake for the server that

Does it work on Beta 2 ISO?

Yes I'm getting very similar hangs. I've been unable to locate
the problem exactly but I noticed they started happening while
using the nvidia graphics card driver (new video card) so I was
blaming that although the video itself wasn't hanging so it
didn't make sense to blame that
and in a strange place too. here is the error message
unable to build hdlist: bad rpm ./Mandrake-devel/cooker/tutorial/Kpackage/

The newest ncurses package is ncurses-5.2-12mdk-src.rpm
unfortunatley no one has built an ncurses-devel package to match, you can
install ncurses-devel-5.1-8mdk-i586.rpm with --nodeps and it appears to work
fine, but it's no fun getting the dependency problem, maybe instead of

And if the new kernel is broken, like say the one a few revs back that
barfed on aic7xxx controllers? What do we do then seeing as we wiped

OK, why not try this ...
As root, in /etc/X11,
cp X X-3
ln -s /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86
then run /usr/X11R6/bin/xf86config and see how you go. If it doesn't
work, you can always do:
cd /etc/X11
cp X-3 X

Seems like I can't do a single thing with rpmdrake-1.3-28mdk.i586.rpm
without it segfaulting, including adding media (I deleted all my
medias to start from scratch hoping that would fix it). How did this
one make it past basic QA?
