Not sure about that. You should be able to set dependencies on the
service startup to make it work too. But since this is a virtual
machine anyway, I just let it run, so not a big deal for me to leave it
to manual.

I've changed the setting back to manual, rebooted the server, and have
now been able to re-map and rescan my library.

I configured a virtual XP machine and tried the same steps on it this
time it installed the headless server correctly, so I guess this must
be a Vista issue. I will try to follow up directly on the MIP forums
and see what I can find.

(Xensource who was acquired recently by Citrix, Virtual Iron, etc).
I think Virtual Iron is still free and although is missing a couple of
enterprise features, it is pretty good.

system in the garage *would* be nice... :)
One thing many on the forum agree on is that SB3+powered speakers are a

I got the Aego m's and all I can say is ... Wow!
They are really impressive. Nice fit and finish, perfect footprint for
my desk, and the sound is excellent. Chalk up another forum user who is
happily using these little gems.

cluttered desk...

2. HDD do not like heat. If you are packing a bunch of drives in a
tight enclosure, make sure to provide enough space between them and
adequate air flow across them. Hot disks = shorter life. It is not
difficult to cook your disk.

We tried a factory reset and soft reset as well.
I brought my laptop over and it was immediately issued an IP address
and connected to the Linksys, so the router appears to be fine.

This station has been in the Slim Top Picks for internet radio for a
long time, and still shows up un genre. It has always intrigued me, but
I have NEVER ONCE been able to get it to play.

contains a single disk) and do a snapshot from one disk to the other.
In this way, I also have the capability to roll back to the snapshot if
I want.
