I downloaded Netscape 6.2 to ML 8.1 and installed it under the mistaken assumption that it would replace Netscape 4.7. Not only is 4.7 still in the system, but it is the only Netscape recognized when I open an HTML file. I would like to uninstall 4.7 and have 6.2 recognized. Can anyone help?

If you must use kde or gnome as your window manager, get more ram. It`s reletively cheap now. I`ve run xwindows and windowmaker and netscape on a 486sx25MHz before with 64MB ram. If you type top you`ll see what ram you are using and how much swap. swap is the h/d and is slow. ie. get

[newbie] GnuChess Proc

Has anyone noticed that GnuChess proc doesn't die when the program is closed via the gui. After I close I can run top and the proc is still active. I noticed this way back with RedHat 6. I do a kill procnumber and it will actually close--but no other way. Anyone have a fix for this? e.
