Do ls and look if the setup file is there.
If not, there should be a directory like Linux. cd to that directory and

One can load either of them, I just do'nt know grub.
With lilo, one would basicly get to a linux prompt
using the rescue disk, mount your linux partition, change to the correct
spot, chroot
configure and run lilo. I think grub would be like wize.

Any ideas on why the boot-floppy generator failed? It had no trouble
writing to the floppy. I don't think it's a disk-media problem. It
seems more likely that the installer is writing a bad floppy. What's up

You could try to put
default = lin
into y0our lilo.conf if you have the statement
label = lin
in the description of the linux image.
It should then boot your linux from where you can fix things further.

lba32 stands for large block access or something.
If you have a disk that is big like 20 gb, it might help or even
be required to use lba32.
You should look in your bios when starting the computer if your disk is
set as a lba disk.
lba32 has got to do with the interpretation of the disk
